I was grinning from ear to ear for most of it, and the final third of the film is non stop comic book/action film ecstacy.
Oh, and as always, stay to the end of the credits ;) I lost my s*** in a geek freak out at that. |

Movie was a blast form start to finish! i was literally grinning like a madman for the whole thing (Apart from one moment... you'll know it when you see it) but the balance of action, drama and humour was all spot on!
Favourite Avenger? The Hulk really does steal the show in every scene he is in. you're only catching a glimpse of what he does in the trailers! :D |
Cant wait me, soundwave88 and Do boy are watching advance screening tomorrow night!
|
I've been low on funds but I promised to take my little sister to see this opening weekend, and today I scored two tickets for $14 for an early show on Saturday. I was surprised it hadn't sold out yet, so now I get to be a hero after all.

Going with a shitload of people, my gf, brother and my brothers buddy on friday. It is going to be a gong show haha.
|
i was afraid the movie would suck but im happy to say its freakin' awesome. ive seen it three times and im pretty sure i'll go see it a few more times.

The "main" Avengers, Ironman, Captain America, and Thor, all have moments in the spotlight, but also, they get a chance to build each other up as characters. It's not "Here's Wolverine, everyone respond to him." Each Avenger grows from their interaction. I thought Tom Hiddleston as Loki was equally as masterful and subtle in his performance as Heath Ledger was as Joker. Black Widow and Hawkeye get a tad shortchanged in the movie, being the team's "normal humans" but there is definite character building and moments for each of them. I thought they did great. Ed Norton was great in Incredible Hulk, but Ruffalo is absolutely the best Banner hands down. You can see that the despite meditation, stress relief, etc, The Hulk is constantly right there, under the surface, digging to be released, acutely aware of everything that happens. So anyway.... I'm gushing enough... It's definitely worth seeing. 6 out of 5 stars. |

Now he did say that we might get 30 minutes + of deleted scenes on the blu-ray/DVD. Apparently a good chunk of the stuff is more "Cap in the modern world" kind of stuff which was cut both because of time constraints, but also because it made the overall movie too much "about Cap" and possibly started interfering with stuff that they might want to cover in Captain America II. Though that almost makes me wonder if they might hold the footage back and re-tweak it to use in Captain America II as it is. |
off to see it again soon :)

Just going to suggest that from next week we should allow spoilers in this thread! I really want to talk about it with a lot of people because I've already been looking through evidence from all the movies as to where the future is taking us and I'm so damn excited to see some of these things on screen!!!
|
Maybe after the weekend, and if the thread title said "spoilers" and people posted in a hard to read font color. Fair is fair, right?

Yeah I'll do that on Monday/Tuesday next week after the US release so that it gives everyone a chance to see it before spoilers are leaked in here.
