The Norton Hulk movie did have the origin but it was done all before the movie really started. One of the best parts imo because you see what happened to Banner in like 5 mins then it cuts straight to the action. I love that movie so much.

Something else I was thinking about yesterday. When they do make another Hulk movie (you know they will) I hope he's wearing some purple pants at least once as an homage to the comics.

Speaking of homages I really like in the film the scene where Hulk and betty are out under the rock and the lightning is flickering it kind of looks like they do the different faces of the Hulk through out the years, either that or it's what I wanted them to do

i'll be honest, i thought Ruffalo was a terrible choice for Hulk when it was announced, but after seeing the movie twice i humbly eat those words cause he nailed it. It's the best live action portrayal of Hulk yet and he needs to take the humor and the attitude he portrayed Banner with into his own film to further develop the character before Avengers 2, it would be great if it started with Stark and Banner working in the Stark Tower R&D when on the news a unscheduled Broadcast comes on of The Leader calling out the Hulk or something.... Not sure The Leader would make a good enough villain on his own tho.

BigHanksCustoms 05-02-2012 12:34 PM

I agree, I never really gave a second thought to Ruffalo, and was a bit let down when he was announced. I have not seen the film yet but if he's as good as the reviews say I'll eat my words too.

Oddly, I liked Ang Lee's Hulk better as a pscycological character study, and Hulk going batter up on the tank is still one of the best scenes of any Hulk film.

I enjoyed Norton's banner more, but preferred Sam Elliot's Thunderbolt Ross over Will Hurt's.

Finally I enjoyed Norton's Hulk overall as a better "popcorn" movie, while i still enjoy Ang's psychological, artistic approach.

Between the two, we got the Absorbing Man, Abomination, T-Bolt Ross, and a cue for the Leader.

Another Hulk should include Rick Jones, Doc Sampson. I can see Leader as a main villain with some sort of "heavy" for the muscle. Red Hulk anyone?......

I'd prefer Bi-Beast actually because the experimenting could lead to Red Hulk in 3(4) while he would have the necessary muscle to give Hulk pause while Leader does his thing maybe taking out Betty for the set up

That's a good idea! I can fully support this.

If its the scene im thinking, its a reference to King Kong.

yeah but what I meant is if you look at his face it kinda morphs a 'through the ages' Hulk retrospective

bmorr 05-03-2012 07:09 AM

i dont have the movie unfortunatly, or else id see for myself, cause thats kinda interesting. Somewhat related, the intro to the 90s iron man cartoon did the same thing.

Well like I initially said I could just be transfering my fanboy hopes onto that scene but yeah I really dug that scene and from what I've read online it is supposed to also have Thor/his hammer falling to earth if you freeze frame it.

DogFashionDisco 05-03-2012 07:37 AM

Weird, you should post a picture of that if you find it.

Saw Avengers last night and it was epic. Ruffalo totally WAS Banner/Hulk and I can't wait to see him in a new Hulk movie.

We agree 100%, it was so freaky because The Hulk looks just like Ruffalo

snake5289 05-04-2012 05:24 PM

I noticed that too. Kudos to the people who did the Hulk's effects.

KingLouie731 05-04-2012 07:18 PM

true.. glad everyone is opening up to our new HULK!!

Boba Fettuccini 05-04-2012 11:05 PM

Ruffalo had it in the BAG. He did a great Banner and a great Hulk. I didn't care for the last two Hulk movies too much, but Ruffalo made me like the character more. I'm biding my time for the new MU hulk buck to come out so I can put the movie head on it. I've never really wanted to display a hulk figure until now.

AFAIC, we need a Hulk solo film and a Black Widow/Hawkeye prequel sort of thing talking about Barton having to take Romnof down. And those need to be studio priorities.

MegaPrime33 05-05-2012 04:22 AM

From what I recall Kevin Faige say about films is that they only do a couple a year. Which means it may be awhile before we see anything but IM, Cap, and Thor. Those I"m sure are at the top of their list. After that.....who knows. I assume Hulk since Ruffalo has a contract. Or it could be Avengers 2.

iLegends73 05-05-2012 05:12 AM

found out the ruffalo signed up to do 6 movies. not sure if one is a hulk solo but u would think so
