Awesome setup!

They aren't perfect, but I like 'em. Deathstroke's head and arm movement is severely hindered by the shoulder pads, bandolier and pouches on his body... and they slap such huge (and visible) globs of paint on the joints that his left ankle refuses to move. You can still get him into some cool poses, though - and I swiped Excalibur from Captain Britain because he can't hold his gun properly. I was always going to pose him with a sword, though, so I don't mind much.

Green arrow on the other hand is great all around. He looks good in person - although his costume still looks odd because of how much skin is showing. Since playing the game I see now that some of those places should have been painted yellow, particularly the spaces on his chest between the laces... but seriously, it looks much better in person than it does blown up in pictures. And his bow has a real elastic string!

My only complaints about him: his fingers on his left hand aren't quite hooked enough to hold the string back - it keeps slipping. And they couldn't give him one arrow to hold with his bow? That's messed up considering the prices attached to these things.

All in all I'm still undecided about whether or not I'll buy all of these packs for be pretty selective. My gut tells me that the reason they produced figures of the more unique costumes for characters like Wonder Woman and Grundy instead of their more comic-inspired costumes from the same game is because they plan on doing a separate comic line at some point. So... that's where I'm at so far.

Thanks for the review mate! I seriously want that set,Im gonna wait to see if they show up on some of the chinese sellers ebay listings though.

Poison Shadow, if you have any of the previous lantern 2-packs to compare against are these made with the same fragile clear plastic thats been painted over or are they more like MU figures with the softer (but more durable) plastic?

I don't have any of the Lantern packs, but I did notice that at the very least all of the joints on DS/GA seem to be made of clear plastic which has been painted.

They don't seem particularly fragile though.

I'd like to get Superman/Nightwing and Aquaman/Black Adam but after hearing the Lantern joint horror stories I've been real iffy on whether or not I want to get any of the Injustice packs. Plus I'm holding out to see if Luthor and Doomsday are getting made.

its the clear plastic.
seems to be less of an issue than the GL packs. but on another site I saw that someone's Wonder Woman's knee snapped easily.

asked this in the Marvel thread but thought i'd ask here,
anyone know any custom sites that have custom MU/Joe parts of DC characters for sale?
Looking for a Catwoman or Jim Lee style Batman head

Shin Densetsu 04-21-2013 10:30 AM

Wonder why DC Collectibles, years later, still insists on using clear plastic pegs for the joints.

Ninjinister 04-22-2013 07:43 PM

Ugh my Injustice Wonder Woman arrived with a broken arm. I don't feel like sending her back, either, especially since Grundy's great.

Anybody want to get rid of their Injustice Diana at a decent price? lol

Poison Shadow 04-23-2013 01:06 AM

Yikes. It's starting to sound like Wonder Woman is kind of fragile... makes me nervous about ordering the pack online, if I even buy it at all.

Does anyone know what retail stores carry these? I'd like to see the WW/Grundy pack in person before making a decision either way.

Some Gamestops have them.

Got mine in the mail yesterday from BBTS. With all the fragile talk Im glad Im a MIP collector. They are pretty awesome though.

JanSolo 04-23-2013 11:33 AM

Ordered my WW/Grundy pack. Thanks for the heads up on WW being fragile. Is it brittle plastic or just tight?

I'd say brittle. Broken right out of the box - I mean I didn't even try taking her out of the plastic. I slid the plastic out from the box and her arm fell onto the floor in two parts.

JanSolo 04-23-2013 11:59 AM

What's Grundy like?

extremely brittle plastic and tight joints.

JanSolo 04-25-2013 04:28 PM

And Grundy's legs broke off right out of the box.

cripes. if i paid 30 dollars for a set and that happened to me i'd be flipping my proverbial sh*t right now. Its so sad seeing all the posts in this thread of similar situations happening.

JanSolo 04-25-2013 05:18 PM

See I really like the sculpt and know I can make a fix, but I won't be buying any more for this line that's for effin sure. Wonder Woman's shoulder pads rub right up against the shoulder joint so I'm a little worried. like I said before the sculpts are nice so I'm glad I have them, for parts at the very least, but these are Prince of Persia bad. I would say don't buy if you are an out of box collector.

snake5289 04-25-2013 05:36 PM

Well the Injustice stuff is a definite pass for me now. Money saved at least.

Poison Shadow 04-25-2013 06:52 PM

Yikes.

It's interesting that all of the breakages seem to happen with WW/Grundy. Has anyone heard of GA/DS breaking at all? I've fiddled with mine quite a bit and had no problems, they don't even feel fragile. Knock on wood...

I just received both sets in the mail today. Neither set was broken out of the box. I was lucky I guess. Arrow and CD are definitely the more solid set. Grundy is a great figure but the plastic just seems hollow and brittle.

Found this at a Walmart last night. I think it's pretty cool that the elbow joints allow it to make the Superman pose. The price was around 7 dollars.

snake5289 04-26-2013 05:09 PM

Awesome. I'm hoping to get him and armored Zod within the next week. Glad to see they're finally showing up in the states.

Ninjinister 04-26-2013 05:34 PM

Wait, a Mattel DC 3.75 figure with elbow articulation? It's been forever! T_T

Looks pretty good.
wonder how it looks next to the TDK/R Batman figures.
Hope they make Clark

I probably buy 2, one to keep regular and one for the head.
