I don't think it's worth $50.
I also don't think the Mafex version is worth $120.
Both can be overpriced.

It "sold out" on HasbroPulse and Amazon only, which means nothing because it's still available on BBTS and EE with full 24 piece allotments.

I’m curious as to why at $50 they kept that ab crunch. The full waist is the main reason I favor Mafex’s. The superior look and movement to me. This line could still create some supplemental figs for the Mafexs I have. I have very few Marvel figs. The premium figs are awesome for a small collection. I love the way they feel and move.

If you don't want it, don't buy it. However, people are going to buy it. Amazon selling out of preorders is proof of that.

Also, if you did not expect it to be $50 that's a YOU problem.

Yeah, it looks like the scalper's and for FOMOS bought them all or Hasbro engineered a false sellout everywhere. Because now even bbts and entertainment earth are sold out, yesterday both places had full stock.

There needs to be some sort of protections against scalpers on websites. It happens for a lot of things now, even video games. I guess these companies won't care as long as they get money.
I've seen scalpers create new listings for a pre-order item, obviously intending to get the pre-order themselves & immediately sell it at a higher price. But their fake listings will stay up longer than the original sellers so you have a "longer opportunity" to get it.
Pre-orders shouldn't even really sell out, IMO, since it's basically saying how much demand is for an item & not yet relates to what exists in reality.

The prices are definitely ridiculous. & I definitely refuse to buy anything that's been raised much higher than retail. I will take my time & hope that prices for any of this go down before I buy because yes these prices aren't right. Unfortunately, probably in large part due to these scalpers which are almost encouraged by companies like Hasbro, prices don't really go down much anymore, & they're too high to begin with like their last Phoenix. Hasbro was like the first ones to raise their prices in inflation, & have been a let down & frustrating in a lot of ways including very incrementally increasing the quality of figs but just barely not quite as they should be so they can rerelease in a year. Why buy any of it if you would feel remorse in a few months? & it proves they knew there was something missing, or something wrong with it but released it anyway to rip people off

I hear the not paying $50 for a $30 figure but you lost me with the messaging complaints. Disney has ALWAYS leaned towards modern standards in moral storytelling, not a surprise they still do it. WB just tells bad stories especially in their DC projects. Woke isn't coming to get you I promise

That figure would be unenjoyable to own given the controversy attached to it. Lol if I had that I would just be trying to justify its purchase. We need to remember these things are supposed to give us some joy, not stress.

Yeah, me neither, I bought a Mafex Spidey for $47, plus shipping last year. These folks using the frankly obscene BBTS markups to claim all the Medicom figures cost that kind of money are disingenuous at best, or ignorant rubes at worst. Shop around dudes, there's more than one retailer in existence.

As for the Hasbro one, eh, it's okay if you're into MLs I guess, nice bunch of accessories and extra articulation over standard Legends. I've just never liked their gummy plastic and hella weak paint apps.

Miles has two 2099 suits. This new figure is based on the Brooklyn 2099 suit from Spider-Man 2. The other suit is just called Miles Morales 2099. It features a hood, a couple of fins on his forearms, and a symbol that's similar to Miguel O'Hara's symbol. It's available in SM:MM and SM2.

That's the one I'm thinking of and the only one I liked in the Miles game.
