Your customs are inspirational and discouraging at the same time.

Thanks- the head is a cast from Slayer Design Studio.
The Testors gold enamel really offset the acrylic silver over black of the chainmail, right?
That stuff is amazing.

deadpool 10-12-2011 09:54 PM

200 PAGES woo!

Amazing work Jason. Those customs are awe inspering. Wish I had your talent. Working on such small scale must be murder.

behindthemask 10-13-2011 12:29 AM

It's murder when it comes to painting small cracks and faces, but over all it's less then half the surface area to paint/sculpt then a ML figure. for basic paint schemes it's a breeze but for more elaborate work it can be tricky.... a desk lamp with a magnifying lense comes in handy! Great work on the customs, the black really pops and the hints of red are nice and not 2 over-powering.

Boba Fettuccini 10-13-2011 12:33 AM

sculpting at that scale sucks. that's what halts completion of many of my projects.

Painting faces seems like it would be impossible. Especially something like eyes.

bmorr 10-13-2011 04:31 AM

oh.......my god. i want that figure so bad. if there was an MU fig that i would actually shell out more than 20 bucks, itd be that guy. it looks like something hasblow could make.

The one and only Dane Whitman or if you prefer The Black Knight. That is one of the greatest customs I've seen, I'd buy that

Fedup23 10-13-2011 06:48 AM

Looks lime Jason needs to start cranking out black knights..Id buy one for 20 as well..Hell..I would supply the base figures!!

Make it so..

If its not already ..I see a small business opportunity!!

Symbiote 10-13-2011 07:28 AM

Very nice custom Jason. Black Knight came out real well.

Well I had a fairly good hunting day yesterday. I picked up the latest MU wave along with some Capcom friends. I swapped out Magneto's hands with the SW Magneto because of the open palm hands. I can't find a figure that has an open right hand though.

These finally showed up at TRU. Now I have my Capcom figures to go with Marvel vs. Capcom

Sagat joining the Fray. Can't wait to get Bison and Akuma.

Man I want those SF figures just for that now lol. Great pics man :)

fosterlager 10-13-2011 07:47 AM

I'm really starting to warm to that Magneto.

That's why I bought the head from Slayer- I'm no sculptor at that scale!

Thanks! I usually build starship models in 1:2500th scale, so this is huge by comparison! Try painting an ATC Fighter in 2256th some time- it's 1/18th"!

Who is Hasblow? Linky?
I jusde everything against Riverspoons' amazing customs and I hope this rates among that level of quality.

I'm going to start a thread over in the "Customs Completed" forum so he'll see it -I dont think he frequents this thread, as customs are his thing.

Gotta take pics of my Nick Fury custom now- an easy but great looking Red Star head with eyepatch and repaint makes that Sam Jackson IM2 Fury body really look great for the real NIck Fury!

Peteparker 10-13-2011 07:50 AM

I think that Magneto's pretty nice.

So this new Magneto is actually Middle Eastern?

Jason Abbadon 10-13-2011 08:07 AM

He's whatever he says he is, lowly human!

Great Wolverine shot! The claws are seperate! I'm sold- now to just find one!

I used an exacto blade to cut and separate them. I'll have to take a pic of the back of the blister card because that is where I got the idea. IMO, he is the best wolverine figure out of the rest.

I still need to do some touching up along with magneto's face. The shading on it is all mess up.
