I really hope they address this Venom/Punisher conflict in the book... one of the biggest disappoints in a Punisher Storyline was how the Punisher vs Avengers ending jumped to Thunderbolts without ever addressing what happened to Frank after they finally took him in...

To me, it feels like Marvel is trying to move the X-Men back to where they were in the 80's/90's. Psylocke is back in her caucasian body, Wolverine and Cyclops are alive and working on the same X-team, and several characters appear to be wearing their classic costumes (on the covers at least).

Aw man cyclops got resurrected? Damn. I jumped for joy when he died a slow, painful death. So ol’one eye is back but Vulcan is still mia? They brought back the wrong summers. ;)

They probably won't if you mean them working out the kinks in their past teams-ups...Venom and Punisher first teamed up in the Venom mini-series: Funeral Pyre, and then again when Eddie had the Anti-Venom symbiote in that miniseries by the same name. Both times, Frank tried to kill Eddie, though in their team up the second time around, they never really discussed their first encounter. Still didn't stop Frank from trying again on numerous occasions, including shooting Anti-Venom point blank in the back of the head with a shotgun, and attempting to gut him by surprise in a car when Eddie was not in his symbiote form.
