Re-reading INFINITY..(thanks again to my man Brownfinger) SO much going on in this story (3 MAJOR things going on simultaneously) yet it did not have a convoluted feel.. i never finished the last 5 books of the entire series so i started over.. who the hell is The Starbrand..has this(he) always been a thing?? and.. are the only Inhuman figures we have..Blackbolt, Medusa and Ms. Marvel?? |

So the socket isn't even close to matching the joint. It looks like there's enough room if you want to hollow it out. I can post a side by side, but essentially the main problem is that despite the two figures being the same height, Zavala's head is just a little bit smaller. The difference is so slight that it probably wouldn't bother most people, but it's just a touch smaller than Yon's head. It's the exact same size as that new Target exclusive Kree Minn-Erva head, but hers is designed for a much smaller frame. |

Revoltech - Import figures designed to push ROM to the extreme. These figures look strange in a vanilla pose since they’re meant to be posed 100% of the time. Some figures like Carnage can fit in with Legends but others have a STRONG anime influence in their design and stand out next to MLs. SH Figuarts - Import figures that are about realism and natural movement with the figures (great ROM). All of their Marvel figures are based on the movies. I beleive they were the first to use the face printing on figures. Most of their figures are shorter than Marvel Legends. Mafex - Very similar to Figuarts in terms of articulation and sculpt but only slightly shorter than MLs. They’ve recently started producing comic book figures for Marvel with Spiderman just dropping overseas. They’ve also solicited/shown Gwenpool, Deadpool, Venom (McFarlane), Miles Morales, Wolverine (tiger stripe, Jim Lee), and Cyclops (Jim Lee). QC was an issue with earlier figures but newer figures have been doing better. |

After checking 12 different Walgreens a total of roughly 20 times over the last week, I finally got put out of my misery yesterday by finding three Mystiques at a store in Richmond, Virginia. :D
The only thing I feel relatively certain of in terms of the way Walgreens manages store supply is that from a restocking perspective they treat all Marvel Legends as a single product. I see no evidence of any attempt to make sure that characters get evenly distributed to stores, they just send out whatever figure the stock clerks randomly pick up when a store's supply of Legends goes below some number. So really the only way we get any variety at all is in whatever way Hasbro packs the figures into boxes. And when it's a Walgreens exclusive and there's only one figure in that box, then lots of that one character will all get sent out when a store's inventory of Legends becomes very low. That's why we see stores with 10+ Magiks or Medusas, because the warehouse just sent whatever was in a Legends Hasbro box. This makes me wonder if it's really in Walgreens' best interest to even have exclusives. If they made some effort to distribute them evenly to stores, then sure, they're a good idea, but as long as one store gets 10 and another gets none, it's a bad idea when your stock clerks are going to just randomly grab whichever figure they find when a store's overall Legends supply is low. This could be up to individual warehouse managers, and some make the effort to distribute the exclusives and some don't, not really sure. Certainly it isn't being done here in my metropolitan area, and plenty of people hunting for Walgreens exclusives have affirmed in this forum and others that it's the way it happens in their area, too. One of the stores I went to several times was down to about 6 or 7 total Legends, and on one of the later trips I saw that store received two full boxes--the entire M'Baku wave and the entire Captain Marvel wave. Which was too much to fit in the three rows most Walgreens devote to Legends, so the clerk stuck the contents of both boxes onto an empty shelf across from the 6 or 7 remaining peg-warmers in the regular toy section. |

Too bad the head's too small. Like you said it probably wouldn't be noticeable to most but I know it would bug me. Still might consider getting Zavala. I've done a bit of research on the Kree and some appear to be rebels. Zavala gives off a ragtag look that works as a rebel. |
Wow, that Mystique was NOT listed on their site two days ago. I assume it went up within the last 24 hours. The in-stock at stores check is as inaccurate as always, it's claiming to be in stock at several stores I checked at last night without finding it.
I mostly did the tour of Walgreens to see if they had other figures I would want at $13.99, so I'm not sorry I did it...I ended up grabbing Valkyrie, speedo Sub-Mariner, Magik, and Angela during my trek, and I've got a store with the entire Captain Marvel wave scoped out if I end up wanting some of those after seeing the film in a week. But if I end up wanting Infamous Iron Man when it comes out as a Walgreens exclusive later this year, I think I'll just wait for it to hit the web site. |
Popped into Walgreens by me on a whim and found Mystique for $13.99! That sale goes all the way to the 30th so I'm gonna hunt around theres a few more by me.

Placed the order, thanks my friend! I'd rather not have to pay the shipping, but at least with the sale, it balances out to pretty much standard retail price, and it eliminates the stress (especially since I never once saw Surfer or Thing in person).

Since there's been a lot of talk of Shuri and a custom Emma and stuff, I went looking on Amazon today for that Shuri/Klaw 2 pack. It was on sale for $26.03. I picked it up just for the custom fodder. I'll be using that cape for an Emma. Just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone still needs the 2 pack or wants any of it for fodder.

https://66.media.tumblr.com/1788b54e...o7_r1_1280.jpg And yeah, I thought it might break if I applied too much force. Turns out Zavala's head pops right off with a little extra persuasion. Not quite as readily as Legends figures, but it won't give you any trouble. It's just a little disproportionate, for me. |
