On a side note...Endgame tickets are now on sale! GO GO GO! Infinity War tickets sold out quick, and I expect these to go quicker. Judging by the fact the atom tickets site is slow as F and erroring out all over the place, I'd say ppl are buying their tickets lol.

you also get a free 24 x 36 boss logic poster while supplies last (+ $9 shipping of course). :)

I'll get my tickets closer to when it comes out. It's only presale tickets that sell out, which are usually just a fraction of the showings for opening weekend.

Nice that tickets are on sale! I'm going to wait because it's madness to try and get to a movie for me anyways, even worse for a marvel moving on opening weekend.

I guess I"ll have to go live in a cave for the last week of April/first week of May. :p

BTW, catching up on some things here, sorry I haven't mentioned this before, Nitelife I hope you are mending well, and Spyne I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Stay strong both of you!

Thanks Nash! Much appreciated.
I got my tickets for Friday at 6 and I'm very excited! I think it goes without saying, but no spoilers, right? :)

I think the general rule of thumb is spoilers are frowned up on until a full week has passed. Not my rule, just from past movies. I could be wrong though. I doubt I'll see it until the second or maybe even third weekend, but that's on me.

Oh I know. I was just being a wise guy about it. I just have to remember to block the guy from college on facebook before he spoils something for me. He messaged me something about Captain Marvel while I was watching it, thank goodness I didn't look at my phone during the movie.
He did manage to spoil every suit from the PS4 Spider-Man game though. So much for surprises.

I think even a week is too short of a time frame to start releasing spoilers. Media outlets are particularly bad at this. I remember sites reporting stuff two days before IW debuted stateside (since China received the film first last go around...) You didn't even need to look for it...it was the first stuff that popped up during a basic Google search.

Sometimes, life circumstances can keep people from getting to a show for two or three weeks (especially if you have two young children and work partial overnights such as myself.)

In all seriousness though, everyone be careful with the spoilers. The MCU as a whole might have worn out its welcome with me a little bit (I honestly have not been impressed by the last four or five MCU films that I have seen) but despite my grousing over them, even I enjoy surprises. I remember someone on the thread spoiling (either intentionally or accidentally) the Red Skull cameo from IW within the first 3 days of the film's release last year, and it totally killed the film for me...since by then all the other stuff had been spoiled by every media outlet you could think of, despite my damndest efforts to avoid them. I ended up skipping IW in theaters altogether because of it.

Just curious how all of you MCU collectors out there are displaying your collection. Are you grouping together by movie-accurate appearances or just piecemealing your favorite designs/figures into an overall MCU display?

All the good seats were gone for the preview night showing- not many seats left at all actually on any of the times available- So I just sucked it up and did 2pm on Friday- that should get me in there before too many spoilers are let loose. Got great seats as well- I stopped doing the "waiting in line for hours" things ages ago and switched to a 'reserved' seating theater.

Before i took the MCU down in favor of some Batman and Mythic Legion shelves I had the Avengers on one shelf- then all the supporting "almost Avengers" people below that, and then villains on the third shelf. Costumes tended to be whichever I liked best that was closest to iconic- so no Ragnarok Thor/Hulk or Iron Patriot or spy suit cap... it worked for me. :)

I have three detolfs Filled to the brim with MCU figures.

Each compartment represents a specific Movie or character. Like I have one for all my Iron man movies, one for all the Captain America Movies, one for Thor and One for Black Panther. All the Avengers movies have their own compartment too. The only ones that did not get special treatment were Dr Strange and Ant-man. They are combined since there are not enough figures released to fill an entire shelf.

Here is a video I made (That is almost 3 year old!), but now there are three instead of two detolfs, and they no longer hold any comic figures as all three house MCU figures only.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xeX4LFxa6A

I will make an update at some point, but I already have too many figures to fit and haven't found all the new IW/EG figures

I wanted to save money to use for more figures :p so I bought some big Whalen shelves from Costco and Sams Club instead of Ikea. They sell better styled ones than you find at Lowes or Home Depot but they're the same functionally. They have a metal frame, adjustable shelves of melamine but the holes on the posts aren't visible with these.

I tend to bounce between display options. Sometimes grouping by movie, sometimes grouping shelf by good guy bad guy, sometimes grouping into battle scene, etc. I'm about to completely rearrange them again now that you've brought it up. :thumbs

it "kind of" looked like ThunderStrike in the last video, unless you paused it while flying and saw the blade- this latest clip doesn't leave you guessing at all- 100% Stormbreaker :)

And Black Knight, and Balder the Brave, and Moon Knight, and Vance Astro, and Man-Thing, and Adam Warlock, most importantly.

Question:

After picking up the new Hasbro 6" Mace Windu, I realize i do not need the Figuarts Mace Windu. Now I am a big Mace fan but there is no reason I see to keep that figure when to me..the Hasbro one works just fine. OF COURSE with the exception of some poseability..but i can deal with that.

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7873/...81b23d83_c.jpg

BUT.. this force hand..i do want..
ARE there ANY marvel legends figures that has an open hand like that ..that I can swap out with his current grapsing hand?..i needs him to look like he's using the force.

Augustus_Cole 04-02-2019 05:45 PM

who you got???
