I haven't kept up with DBZ in ages but guys like Galactus and Onslaught are physically unbeatable or at least come with severe repercussions if physically destroyed (Galactus' death will allegedly result in a cosmic-scaled nuke) and Marvel still has the numbers so if DBZ does still win it would probably be a hollow victory.

Il Cattivo 04-02-2019 06:11 PM

unless blue haired goku and vegeta are galaxy buster level, odin solos.

ARE there ANY marvel legends figures that has an open hand like that ..that I can swap out with his current grapsing hand?..i needs him to look like he's using the force.

I want to think Polaris, and Scarlet Witch, the Rogue extra hand ... all women's hands .... cant think of any male characters that have anything close except Spider Man, then you would have to paint the hand.

I just busted out Maw, such an incredible figure. I’m super impressed with the level of detail, sculpt and scale of this guy. I can’t wait to add Corvus to this group.

Armored Thanos is a beast of a BAF, but the lack of a bicep swivel holds it back from being great IMO.

Awhile back there was a Poll with all the Marvel, DC, DBZ, and many other comic character teams and DBZ came out the winner there too.

I’ve been trying to talk myself out of starting to collect DBZ figures, but you had to go post something like this...

Il Cattivo 04-02-2019 06:42 PM

odin throws punch....galaxy busted...

odin: oops my bad, I didn't mean that. let me put it back together.

can anyone in dbz do that?

Just curious how all of you MCU collectors out there are displaying your collection. Are you grouping together by movie-accurate appearances or just piecemealing your favorite designs/figures into an overall MCU display?

I have Vulture hanging from the Ceiling and I have another shelf of "overflow" figures. It's got like 3 Caps, 4 Thors, another Ant-man any figure that received a 2nd+ figure, the old one goes on the overflow shelf.

I also have a few stand-ins so you must ignore them.

Vamp 04-02-2019 07:06 PM

marvel would beat DBZ

MeLikeJinx 04-02-2019 07:52 PM

I remember liking DBZ in... '93 I think it was and their costumes basically look all the same since then I think. Meanwhile all the X-men I began liking only a year or so earlier had a bazillion different outfit changes since... not too mention movie costumes and what not. Collecting for DBZ must be easier than collecting for Marvel.

Tell that to the guys on this thread who collect Figuarts DBZ figures, and have to deal with the ridiculous pricing, preordering, importing of, and excessive amounts of exclusives from whoever Bandai can think of to put them with...along with the often ridiculous secondary market and flood of bootlegs plaguing everywhere from Ebay to Amazon.

No thank you. I'm good. I'll stick with the Legends.

On a side note...didn't see the any of the new Legends ANYWHERE in SoCal while I've been on vacation, but I did see the first of Hasbro's basic Power Rangers line at a Walmart here...so the legends style versions can't be too far off!

Well, there is Beerus, the literal God of Destruction...

And Goku's (maybe Vegeta too) on the road to rivaling that power...

Of course, Whis (and his angelic brethren) are even more powerful than that...

DarthKamen 04-02-2019 08:01 PM

Trunks "killed" an immortal God...

Who then went on to infect his own and other timelines like a plague and required a literal reset button to truly beat.

So I'm giving this one to DB.

I was at Wal-Mart on Memorial. I was buying automotive bulbs. I hit the Legends section first and found nothing. These were in a main aisle display before the toy section begins. I ACCIDENTALLY found them. I doubt anyone knows to look for them there.

FYI, we're opening a retail store in the boro soon. Hopefully by June it'll be and we'll be in a bigger spot. Ur right....Mandy is the bomb:)

Without getting into Thanos (Infinity Gauntlet) = Captain Marvel (Genis Vell) > Galactus > Odin > Dark Phoenix > Thanos (regular). Putting aside the fact that Surfer and Beta Ray have recently (relatively speaking - 2008ish) accidentally destroyed planets (Surfer vs Ravenous - Annihilation and Bill [lending that he and Thor are, at least, equals] & Stardust vs Asteroth - Stormbreaker saga)(and overlooking that Surfer also defeated, not one, but two proemial gods - Aegis and Tenebrous, peers of Galactus from the old universe pre-dating the big bang - by himself ). Ignoring that Terrax did the same, on purpose, to a planet he quelled (post Annihilation). Shelving the understanding that both Gladiator and Sentry are veritable stand-ins for Superman (with Sentry possibly being more powerful than supes - "the power of one million exploding suns"). 'Scion' Juggernaut (I can't believe I'm citing this shit because I think it's silly) can punch through dimensions, grow to the size of Galactus, and threaten universes. And the Hulk, beyond World Breaker - who shatters tectonic plates with one blow, hense "World" and "Breaker" - has destroyed a dimension with only his rage and fists (Dark Crawler's dimension)...and the Maestro may be stronger...and those last two might be the weakest of the bunch.

DBZ is fun kids stuff (LOL yes, this is a taunt to DBZ fanatics! - and yes, I know comics could be considered just as 'kiddified,' but your shit is straight sandbox shit! ;):p), but the 'toon and manga offer too many inconsistencies and the body of work is too limited to seriously compare 'feats.' DBZ, imo, has always been Japan's insecure love letter to DC/Marvel's pantheons. Just like that little brother attempting to keep up and looking pathetic in the process, DBZ has directly aped elements of Supes and engaged in an unending war of one ups-manship with two publishers that are entirely oblivious to them.

Marvel for the win.

Now I'm sure there will be Grand Zeno talk, but he (they) isn't pictured. And even if they were, Thanos did it first...and cat and dog men walk on DBZ Earth with nary an explanation. They're even featured as routine members of society as police officers and such...pffft, they don't even take their shit seriously! lol

...and I'm gonna put MR FINGAS excellent photo here, not because it proves my point in the least, and not because I forgot Nova Prime who would also fare well against DBZers, but because it's dope and functions as a great exclamation point!

My order of the figures I wanted from the Endgame wave (minus Ebony Maw who was sold out) is set to arrive today. I got them from Hasbro Pulse. That free shipping is great! Walmart is supposed to also have the Loki 2 pack ready for pick up too. After my radio show tonight, it's gonna be toy Christmas in April!
