Thanks AFU-
it looks like you might be posting your pics directly uploaded to the site as an attachment. I post mine just copy/pasted into the message area via Flickr using the BBCode option.

Back on the topic of the Fox acquisition, Who do you think should be the primary foes for the first films of the Fantastic 4, Silver Surfer, and the X-Men when they finally make their way to the MCU? I'd like to think that Disney would steer away from villains we've received before, the way they did with Spider-Man: Homecoming (Vulture,) and honestly, I could go an X-Men film or two without having to see Magneto or Mystique as a primary antagonist. Same for Fantastic Four with Doctor Doom.

For me personally...

Surfer: Mephisto
Fantastic Four: Annihlus or Sub Mariner
X-Men: Mr Sinister or Freedom Force (Yes...I know Mystique was a part of that team...so maybe someone else to take her place...like a throwback to Rogue's villainous past maybe?)

Surfer.....terrax and or frankie ray

FF- while i love doom i wanna see either kang the conquerer or firelord ( didnt he start off as kind of a bad guy?)

Xmen-either sinister and the reavers or fitzroy and the upstarts (also can intro bishop as well. Get laroyce hawkins who plays atwater on chicago pd to play him as hes the perfect choice and would rock as bishop)

Nutimus Prime 04-12-2019 08:47 AM

I'd love to see a Silver Surfer origin movie. They could set up Galactus as a huge threat to the MCU by showing what he did to Surfer and his planet.

Or maybe show what happened to Surfer as flashbacks while he battles another herald or travels the galaxy.

And thus start the next mcu movies phase and big bad set up. Introduce rick rider nova, wendell vaughn quasar movie, hell even go squadron supreme movie.

Nutimus Prime 04-12-2019 08:56 AM

I want more cosmic content so introducing Nova and Quasar would be great to see. But I really really want Marvel to introduce Beta Ray Bill. I want to see him pick up Thors weapon and lay him out. Bills backstory could be held close to the comics. Lone survivor, carrying his species legacy, trying to save them.

Captain Nash 04-12-2019 09:17 AM

If F4 come first we will get doom and galactus, but we also really ought to get Kang,, maybe as the next crossover big bad, since he was denied usage due to contracting rights. Also support quasar as we need a quasar figure. And if we don’t get Sersi with Eternals figures I’m going to riot.

Dr Kain 04-12-2019 09:30 AM

I really feel that for Marvel's MCU X-Men reboot, I'd like to see them start small with maybe just the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. This way, they can focus on developing like 6 heroes and 3-4 villains. Then have it revealed in the post credit scene that Magneto is the founder of the Brotherhood. Save Mr Sinister for the third film.

For Fantastic Four, kick the movies off with Mole Man as the first villain. Again, bring Doom in in the credit scene.

Silver Surfer is tough because I want him to be Galactus' herald until he meets the Fantastic Four. As such, just do an origin story for him and maybe have it take place between Captain Marvel and Iron Man so that Ronan can be the main villain. This will also give them an opportunity to actually really develop Ronan into a character this time around. Third time's the charm, right?

if this happens, I’m demanding SAURON be in that group even though he wasn’t a member until the 90s. I’m sure it’ll be the 80s version though, maybe include Juggernaut too.

The metal implants, do they function as removable magnetic horns? That's pretty damn ingenious, if true...the customizer you use has some decent chops.

"Hear me and rejoice."
The Maw arrived today and as has been the case of late is a great addition to the MCU figures. A lot of precise sculpting is going on with this guy from his weird alien Squidward face to the grid-textured parts of the clothing which are contrasted nicely by the slick smooth overlay pieces of his costume. The paint on his body is mostly sharply done with no heavy bleeding of the gold onto the gray and then his head is done in lightly varying shades that really serve the sculpt-work already there. He might not be as intricately ornate as Corvus Glaive but I think he's equally as grand of a figure.

The gang's almost all here and they're looking good. I only ever got three figures from Cull's wave so obviously he's not in my collection but even then I'd rather have a figure of Cull Obsidian that actually looks like the movie version. Maybe we'll get him one day like in the 80th anniversary line or as a part of a multipack.

I actually had a whole idea for how a Fantastic Four trilogy could go down, setting up Galactus to be the Big Bad of their respective phase.

Fantastic Four: Mole Man or Puppet Master. Somebody who would make for a fun, interesting foe to rival the Fantastic Four who still isn't that well-known or beloved among casual Marvel fans. This way, Marvel Studios is given enough freedom to reinvent the character for a modern age without pissing too many people off. Dr. Doom would be a supporting character for the F4 who, much like Baron Mordo, gradually turn towards villainy as his jealousy of Reed (and the F4 in general) get the better of him.

Fantastic Four 2: Doctor Doom is the main villain. The end of the movie reveals that he saw a vision of Silver Surfer and Galactus coming to devour the planet....and the vision "reveals" that Doom would be the one to stop him (of course, this vision was heavily influenced by Doom's psyche), which further fleshes out his motivation for everything he's done.

Fantastic Four 3: Silver Surfer, properly setting up a Silver Surfer spin-off film, and also Galactus for the Big Bad of the next major Marvel crossover movie.

Totally agree about skipping Doom and Magneto, at least for the first film.

For the FF, I always imagined the first film would skip the origin similar to Spider-Man:Homecoming and start with them already changed. Reed leads them on the first trip to the Negative Zone where they run into Annihilus.

As for the X-Men, I personally think that mutants already exist in the MCU. In the Incredible Hulk, the canister containing the serum that Ross gave to Blonsky had a Weapon Plus label on it. For those who don't know, Weapon Plus is the blanket program responsible for creating super soldiers like Captain America (Weapon 1) before turning it's attention to mutants starting with Wolverine (Weapon 10 (X)). To me, I think it's totally possible that Wolverine is out there right now with his adamantium skeleton and claws.

But for the first movie, I would have the X-Men fight Trask and the Sentinels. Most of the general public isn't aware of mutants atm. The government however is and doesn't like the fact that random people are waking up with super powers. Trask wants to sell Sentinels to the government but they need a way to ID mutants. Trask reads some of Xavier's research that he published in grad school and suspects that Xavier could give him what he needs. Professor X has started the school which gives kids a safe place to control their powers and go to school before returning to society. But he doesn't want the government to view the school as a mutant boot camp so only the teaching staff are trained to be X-Men. Trask kidnaps Xavier which forces the X-Men to assault Trask's factory to rescue the Professor. I think the team should consist of Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Psylocke, Colossus, and Kitty Pryde.
