Now where is my damn Sleepwalker figure ???? I'm looking at you Spider Man Legends.
Now this I DO agree with.

Great write up. Does the head from the previous Kraven work with the new one?

I never got the previous figure but looking at pictures online it appears to be the exact same body on both so I'd imagine it should work but with Hasbro you never know.

Thanks for the heads up about Best Buy... actually saw Silver Sable, Black Spidey with the weird peeling off eyes, Blink and Forge at one Best Buy and a lone Gambit at another... bought Silver Sable, Forge and Gambit.

I'm also curious if Professor X was easy to find at your Gamestop. At my Gamestops pretty much every Professor X was set aside to fulfill preorders... they only had extra Deadpool scooters on the shelves.

The basic movie Mysterio comes with an energy effect unlike the ML one.

To make matters worse, the new heads are sculpted somewhat short on the back, exposing the neck peg quite hideously if you look at the figure from the back, as the neck collar on the jacket is not quite high enough to hide it.

What's the preferred fix for this? Shaving down the neck peg, dremelling deeper into the head or something else?

Glad to see some love for Skullbuster. He's the only one in this wave I want.

So Morrison is responsible for giving Emma Frost her diamond form?

I can't help but think of Peggy Bundy whenever I see Kraven in those leggings and slippers.

Shinzero02 04-23-2019 06:17 AM

You know, I'm kinda hoping the next non-movie Spider-Man wave BAF is Man-Spider.

And that a wave this year includes Iron Heart or a better Blackheart.

The best way to do it usually is to dremel the head a bit...but in extreme cases, (such as the recent QR Cap that I modded to fit the Avengers Walmart Cap) it's best dremel the head AND shave down the neck a bit. That way it doesn't end up looking completely off.

The problem with Jubilee is pretty egregious though, and it's with the headsculpt itself, so if you were to do either, it's likely going to sit too far down the neck, causing Jubilee to look like Ram Man from Masters of the Universe.

Man, I really want that Kraven, but even if my Target has him instock I don't have the money for him right now. I hope he sits around for a while.

Wow! That is bad. My beloved Colleen Wing figure suffers from the same issue. I was tempted to shave down her neck peg but as you mentioned earlier, doing that would make her head sit too low. I just learned to accept it. Hell, even appreciate it. She has a great range of head movement because of the odd design.

Bo Ttef 04-23-2019 10:54 AM

why would you want to mod away the sculpt that actually lets the figure look up? that gap at the back of the head along with the neck swivel give the figure a great range of motion- unless you display the figure backwards I can't see why you would consider that a bad thing.

I can't speak for Trivial but there are times when aesthetics trump articulation.

well, that was a major issue with Toybiz... but the back of the neck of the figure just seems... odd. but, you know- to each their own I suppose, and if it bugs you then it bugs you. :) The ToyGods know there are plenty of things I can't stand about a figure that no one else would even think twice about so...

2. I too HATTTTTTE that Cat-Beast version of Beast, Always have.

I think my love of the Cat Beast comes from me really hating the swept "feral" hairdo that so many X-characters seemed to have back during the 90's. It was like Jim Lee didn't know how to style hair any other way.

I also really enjoyed Beast's secondary mutation because he's long been known to hate cats, and he ended up becoming what he hated most. I liked the tragic irony of it. Plus, he reminded me a lot of those creatures from "Sleepwalkers," which as terrible of a movie as it was, is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Not to mention the Khajiit of Skyrim...which is my preferred class to play as whenever I boot up the Elder Scrolls games...

Then there's my obsession with Felicia Hardy...and Sabretooth is pretty cool too. I really dig that Puma figure as well and....

whoa boy....

I might have a fetish for cats I think.

Robb 04-23-2019 06:12 PM

I am seeing Zed at target and walmart. I might be able to pick up and trade or sale if anyone still needs.

Could always put some putty (I'm personally eyeing some stuff used to keep things in place on shelves that is supposed to be plastic-safe) in the spot and paint it to match the hair/head. It'd fill the gap and allow continued articulation.

Thanks DTL- yeah, my Toybiz Beast is staying iiib the Danger Room, but there are plenty of places for the Hasbro version- I think his blue goes great with the Avengers!
