I've gotta disagree for a ton of reasons that I can't talk about here due to the lack of spoiler tags. I felt the ending of the comic was a cop out honestly. The movie didn't go in the directions I expected it to, it was a very character driven movie, and had a lot of great action scenes. It is easily in the MCU's top 10. Nothing will top The Winter Soldier though. That is The Dark Knight of Marvel.

Anyway, my Target today had 4 Deadpools with the moped in stock. They'll probably be stuck with those until they clearance them off in 8 months.

No store around me has anything related to the Caliban wave, the Kraven 2 pack, and even though I'm not buying them, none of the new Endgame stuff either.

Veronica Mars 04-30-2019 10:28 PM

After seeing Endgame I have to say that it's a great send off for the this chapter of the MCU, it is not without it's issues, some of the characters felt shoehorned in, there were certain political things done in the name of fan service that fell very flat. I've heard some negative things about what is being called the "sailor moon scene". I loved it, I love what it was a nod and tribute to, and I love the implications for what it could become in the future

I thought that particular scene was dope!!!, and the bigger scene that it was part of was EPIC beyond belief. One of the best scenes (The FULL scene) i"ve ever seen on the big screen.

Dr Kain 05-01-2019 05:45 AM

Sailor Moon scene? I don't remember anyone transforming for like 20 minutes.

If we're talking about the same scene, the women in my theater's audience went nuts when they saw that shot! It got my thinking about how important representation is in these films/comic books.

BTW, what's up with long time members changing their names? My apologies to Augustus Cole and Harbinger if you aren't who I think you are.

Trivial Psychic 05-01-2019 07:53 AM

I think we need to drop Endgame conversations here...period. Wanna tell someone you saw it for the ninth time...fine, but please just a reminder that some of us were not a part of that gaggle of people on opening weekend. We have jobs, young children, lack of free time, desire to avoid crowds etc...and we don't want to know about "Sailor Moon scenes," "ending redos" or empty context memes..."

Unless they are regarding the Armored Thanos wave...please check the Endgame conversation at the door. Some of us are already doing our due diligence to avoid spoilers, and I'd like to think this could be a friendly place for people not wanting to accidentally walk into them. We had some serious ones that were dropped here accidentally (or possibly intentionally) with Infinity War and we should all work together to prevent that from happening again.

I'm inclined to agree with Trivial. It hasn't even been a week. I saw the movie, but I haven't felt like I need to discuss specific things. Honestly, someone just start a movie discussion thread.

MajinAkuma 05-01-2019 08:53 AM

I still think the funniest part of the movie is when Thor dropped his eye during the battle and Racoon goes to grab it.

Don't know if anyone saw, but Hulu just announced Ghost Rider and Helstrom TV shows. Hopefully this means Hulu becomes the home for the more mature Marvel shows going forward. Hopefully they bring back The Defenders and Punisher.

While it is gonna be Robbie Reyes (with Gabriel Luna reprising the role), current reports are saying it'll be unconnected to Agents of SHIELD (I'm guessing that's in order to let new viewers jump in without having to go back and watch it).

Harbinger 05-01-2019 12:22 PM

Bleh....not interested in watching ghost driver. Color me interested if they actually make a real ghost rider series, either blaze or ketch.

If the show catches steam (no pun intended), I wouldn't be surprised if Blaze and/or Ketch make an appearance, possibly in a recurring role. They already referenced Blaze in AoS.

The actor playing Robbie Reyes said he wants Norman Reedus as Johnny Blaze and I'm all for it.

Hulkwummy 05-01-2019 12:36 PM

Got the whole Caliban Wave in the mail today, and I was lucky enough to move the sunglasses on the non-bubblegum head of Jubilee upward, how cool is that.

Augustus_Cole 05-01-2019 12:40 PM

I wonder if they'll bring Rachael Taylor back as Trish Walker in Hellstrom
