Thanks. I am so impressed with this guy. The paint apps for the most part are solid, the pointing finger allows for a lot of interesting poses, and the sculpt itself is outstanding. I was original disappointed I'm not able to get the lighter blue version since in the promo pics I liked that one better, but having this one in hand makes me glad I got this one instead. The colors just work so well. Not only that, but he also maintains everything that made the Resolute design look impossing here. If I have any nitpick on this guy it is that he can't ab crunch forward at all, only backwards. I do wish they had given him a hooded head too though as there's really no reason for a 6inch figure that has the standard neck peg system not include interchangeable heads. Nevertheless, I love him and I am going to see about doing some more pictures tonight so I can focus on Gung Ho when he arrives tomorrow.

@dr. kain: that second Cobra Commander bit was funny as hell. I have mine coming sometime this week. I wouldve preferred the lighter one too but, I'm fine with what I'm getting. I had the mail away hooded version as a kid and that color scheme matches up with that.

You got the 39.99 snake eyes? I didn't realize that one was going back up again...

Yes, they put up more stock on hasbropulse. Didn't last too long, though.

Great stuff Dr. Kain. If anyone is looking for Cobra Commander, Gung Ho or Red Ninja stop by Walgreens. I have been 2 Walgreens in the past couple of days and Joes are there. Also heard from a Gamestop employee that Red Ninjas were supposed to arrive this week in store.

Gung Ho did indeed arrive from Amazon today, which is great, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, the figure... kind of... well... sucks.

The sculpt is incredible despite the fact that he looks like someone who walked off the set of Duck Dynasty. The problem is with his accessories. First off, the hat just sits on his head, which royally sucks. They should have just molded the hat on the head or made it bigger. Any time you move him, the hat tumbles off. Hell, just look at him funny makes the hat tumble off. The same goes for the guns when it comes to attaching them on the backpack. I have no idea which side which gun is supposed to go on, but it doesn't matter as none of them stay put, especially the grenade launcher, which doesn't seem to go anywhere. I'm lucky if I can get them to sit in the slots on the sides for 45 seconds, but the worst is the one on the bottom of the pack as nothing can sit there at all. Not to mention Gung Ho can't even hold his guns properly, so he must be very strong in the arms to be able to shoot all of those guns one handed.

My Walgreens don't even have price tags for Joes. I went to about 11 of them in the last week and half without success. That's why I ended up resorting to Amazon.

I found 2 Red Ninjas last week at Walgreens (to bring my total to 4:p) along with Gung-Ho and CC. I've only seen Joes at a couple of Walgreens though. It's like most stores in my area are ready to reset but they just won't do it. I still haven't found Silver Centurion Iron Man or the blue Clone Trooper.

Agree with you on the hat. You know what I find out about Gung Ho's guns on his backpack? The shotgun fits very well with the grip sticking inward. It almost seems like it was meant to hang there. The assault rifle needs a little exacto knife to cut the hanging tabs a bit lower, then it'd fit. Once you do that, those 2 guns hang on the backpack securely and doesn't stick out. Nothing you can do with the grenade launcher, so he'd just have to hold it. Then again, Gung Ho has always been my default grenadier before they made Hardball, so that has always been my primary weapon for him anyway. And yes, if you soften his hands first, the grenade launcher fits in his hands perfectly.

While I was at it, I toned down the silver on him (right forearm, weapons and shin guards), and gave him a Gunnery Sergeant rank on his hat.

Oh, and I also fixed Scarlet's problem with her arrow quiver and crossbow. I cut off the strap and glued it back the right way using Locktite plastic bonding system. Now she can draws her arrows and reload her crossbow properly.

Feature, not bug.

The GI Joe section of my birthday haul. Snake Eyes is a good quality figure, the hole-punched guns still bother me (mainly the pistol) but not enough to hurt my overall feelings on the figure. I already had PD Destro but when I found the regular one in person I decided I should also have the classic colors. The solid red holster/harness piece still sticks out to me as my one nitpick with the figure, I feel like if it were grey or black with red detailing it'd mesh better. Destro's still a great figure though and I enjoy now having proper Destro in addition to fun Destro.

I thought the hole punched gun was meant to be more of a grappling gun or something, and the hole was for the rope. Is that not the case?

A grapple gun wouldn't need a suppressor and the other gun is clearly some kind of SMG since it visibly has a magazine yet it also has a hole.

At only one per case the Red Ninja are going to be a pain to find, especially since they're an army builder.
