do you cut the elbows with dremel or scalpel?
thansk for the info
and your pics are rad!

rupertvalero 04-06-2012 01:47 PM

thanks. i use very sharp shears to clean cut the vinyl arms. super glues as good as on ABS plastic.

ersico 04-06-2012 03:08 PM

sweet, ya i used superglue to glue the magnets in... post more :)

take off the arms. drill holes in arm slot and where body attaches to arm. insert a peg. this makes it articulated. the elbow bend is done by cutting below elbows, sanding where lower arm was attached to elbow. reattach lower arms where you want. you can take off lower arm and reattach where ever you want with super glue. all this until i come up with a better way o really articulate these flimsy things.

Nice work Bro!! Im glad to see people reposting up in here!! Ersico have you heard anymore about the WWRp Heavy Brambles yet??

ersico 04-06-2012 06:21 PM

nope.i haavent heard anything but im waiting on the ironpanda fromb bambaland and the deimos from bbts.

rupertvalero 04-06-2012 11:54 PM

and im waiting on a heavy bramble from both 'this is vinyl' and 'tenacious toys.' ggrrr. as i always lament, i despise how 3A keeps posting new stuff without as much as giving a definite shipping date instead of giving us nothing. not cool and im starting to get really tired.

i'll post more pics later. i just sheared off the head off a 3rd mini-bertie. im making the head movable. (engineering note:) im looking into finding a way to fully articulate the arms without having to glue the lower arms to the elbow joint- without completely removing the signature elbow design.

ersico 04-07-2012 05:46 AM

sheared and magnetized the head, added another eye, glued arm bent, fixed shoulders with magnets. got stikfa gun, and contemplating pelvis articulation

will be warbot bertie with skull and crossbones

ersico 04-07-2012 01:01 PM

I'm not sure what to do with the 2 blank ones I'm getting from you. I was thinking about making the desert bertie figure. Or maybe a deadpool bot or iron man bot. But lately I'm thinking a R2D2 and C3P0 would be cool.

ersico 04-12-2012 07:10 PM

go for r2d2 and c3po, sounds cool. there was some of those customs released a long time ago on a site as exclusives.. go for it
