thanks for the intel. he messaged me explaining that going 'ground' sometimes takes as long as two months. -__- that's cool. i'll just wait it out.

i got some new MU available if anybody across the pond needs this stuff:

i used to be a strict MOC collector and its so liberating getting away from that.

i still have a few cool things MOC, but opening up is a cool experience.

try it sometime. ;)

I'll eventually do it, I'm already itching to get my X-Men team set up. It's not about future values or anything, it's just that as I still live with my parents being a student and all, I don't have the room to display properly. Not to mention the thought of losing stuff

have your Spidey spin webs under your display in case something falls. ;)

i can never part w my X-Men! they are the reason i started collecting Marvel Universe. i have 3 Sentinels too that won't ever leave me. someday i will be able to display them all in my study.

first i need to actually have a study. still working out the details. :D

keep up your studies, dude.

I wish I could afford a sentinel over here, but damn they are expensive. MU collecting is a tad more expensive here, so you can imagine how expensive those things are

I would love to sell you one (i can part with one realistically) but wouldn't shipping be an arm, a leg, and a Lionel Messi?

lol

Indeed it would be, and the LCS's that have them charge around 80 dollars for them

what would be a realistic good price for a sentinel/shipping to the UK?

80 is ludicrous. how can i help flip the bird to that LCS dealer?

No idea, because they're so bulky and awkward I get why they're expensive to ship. I'll get one down the road, not looking to get one atm but I appreciate the offer man. Very few are willing to trade/sell international so to see someone so willing to help is fantastic

Get your ass to Ikea, buy 2 storage box's.slip them under your bed.you would be crazy to pass up some of shockwaves figures.plus you wont be waiting long,me and zeldaman did a deal took 6 days for his items to arrive, and he is in the same general area as SW.

Jimmyo 08-02-2012 01:00 AM

The one night I decide to actually get some sleep and I miss out on a Shockwave 4 for $25, I would have hoovered up those A.I.M soldiers lol

im pretty sure i seen AIM soldiers being sold on Amazon.co.uk for reasonable prices.

Jimmyo 08-02-2012 01:14 AM

I have a few already and @4 for $25 it's cheaper than going the Amazon Route and as they say every penny count's lol and the cheapest is £8 per figure so full price still

Zictor 08-02-2012 02:26 AM

If I get a decent amount of disposable income that I can use on my collection I'm going after Galactus. Thats the one reason I've not bought the Silver Surfer yet as he comes with one.

Can't wait to get my own place too... everything is so expensive here!!!

Tell me about it. Trying to find a place is just as hard as trying to save for one. I'm looking forward to unboxing all the figures I've accumulated and displaying them once I've found a place. Especially MU Galactus, who's been held up at my girlfriend's house for over a year now..

one of the reasons I won't use bbts or toywiz anymore is that they are not customs friendly and see the UK as an excuse to scalp us further on the shipping.
They use Priority mail, which comes with tracking and insurance... and a massive price hike! Because Priority is shipped courier, it's much much more likely to get opened at customs and end up with import fees. Also, anything large has to be shipped Priority, so it's the same thing again.

Loving the love from fellow Arkers here and two thumbs up to Shockwave for his generous offers. Things like the Sentinels / Galactus / Gigantic Battles never actually get released over here - only specialist stores get them (with a large markup). I think it's just one of those things where if you can afford it you have to pay the shipping and swallow the import duty. It's just damned expensive. However... if someone writes a value of less than the chargeable VAT price you won't get stung for duty even if it gets stopped at customs, but many sellers don't do that. Which, if they only have 1 of the item - I can understand, but if they have more I don't see that it makes a difference. As long as they agree with the person buying it that they'll only get X amount back if the item goes missing - which, with Priority - it shouldn't.

If you can get down to Kingston Entertainer they have a fair few AIM Troopers for £4 each. Or at least they did last week...

I think we should make Shockwave the UK MU Ambassador. Who's with me!

Kapow's prices are steep, but I have always wanted a Bombastic Bag-Man figure, so I was willing to accept it this time.

Jimmyo 08-03-2012 03:05 PM

Anyone in the UK have A BAF sentinel that they want to sell on? I'm looking at you Proteus lol

proteus 08-03-2012 05:03 PM

Hahahahahaha sorry mate, cant help you there,iv only got Galactus in the BaF size!!

Has anyone else seen the Glow in The Dark Movie Spidey figures yet?? They showed up at my local ASDA Living store today, two different Spideys, and a Lizard seem to be the extent of the line....

Nah bro, I'm fielding offers on this bunch.

cellardoor 08-13-2012 06:21 AM

Jeez, you take your eye off the ball...lots of confusion around the order of wave releases and stuff and the availablility of certain figs.
As mentioned before I think i'm going to settle with Kapow for Prof X, Jubilee and Blastaar but don't like those prices.
I've asked Star Action Figures if they're likely to get the next waves in...waiting for an answer from them.
But the collector in me couldn't help itself so i've just ordered Beast, Kraven and Beta Ray Bill from a US seller on Ebay for £35 p&p included. That makes each figure about £12 which is good going for a NIP MU toy in the UK!

'Nutha edit: Star's pre-orders go up this week. There's very little UK distribution for the next waves so get 'em whilst you can.

Edit: Not sure how trades/sales work around these parts but i've got the following figures up for negotiation...No set prices and willing to trade for New Hulk, New Punisher, Kang, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, FF spidey/Doom, basically the hard to get UK stuff!

Jim Lee Jean Grey - New, in package
Series 1 Daredevil - New, in package
Grey Hulk - New, in package
Scarlet Spider - Upside down version, new in package
Deathmask Archangel - New, in package

Pictures will be added once i'm at home!
