I played the first one once. At Walmart at a demo table. Not my thing.

I miss those. The only place that still does that sort of thing around here is Game Xchange.

slim19722 08-15-2016 06:23 PM

I softened the head with a soak in hot water out of the microwave and placed it on the Prof X body. No dremeling was needed.

I assumed you dremeled it. I got a strong friend of mine to force the head unto the MU Chameleon body and the Multiverse Batman. It turned out pretty good.

I have both the Green and White blanks, I'll try and combine them to get this figure for a visual reference. I don't have the DCIH figure anymore to use as reference or to use the cape but I'll put one of the DCIH figures I do have.

Nice picture btw, you can link straight from the Archive if you want, I have enough bandwidth. You don't have to save it and then re-host it unless you really want to.

That would be a huge help!

And, I only do that to ensure the longevity of the post for people who browse the old threads. Normally third party websites won't keep the picture for another few months and will have to clear some stuff for the sake of having clean servers so that's why I re-host all of the pictures I post on this website. Plus, it's an OCD thing.

Also, thanks for making the archives in general. Your website has been extremely helpful and I just thought that I'd show my appreciation since I don't see a lot of people doing so.

Nice. Chameleon makes for a pretty good Bruce stand-in.

I hate when people link a picture to a post then delete it weeks or months later, then someone new joins the group but never gets to see the pic. I make a point to leave pics in my photobucket account. I created it to be able to share them, so it makes no sense to go back and delete them.

I don't like a couple of shots where you can see how high up his head sits. Makes you have to be careful what angle you shoot him from.

Sometimes the image hosting websites people use are unprofessional and have crappy servers even though they're image hosting websites. An image hosting website is supposed to hold millions of photos but if you have use crappy one then some photos are deleted to free up space.

That's why you should stick with the two best image hosting websites, Imgur or Photobucket. Unfortunately, every now and then those websites malfunction and your pictures get deleted. This just happened with the photos from my Flash posts which really sucks because I put a lot of effort into them despite their low quality.

I really hate it when I look through some old posts and the picture's are deleted. That damn Photobucket cat that serves as a placeholder for deleted pictures haunts me.

I totally agree. It's especially great for Bruce because the suit screams fancy playboy whereas the Professor X body is more fancy businessman/accountant if you know what I mean.

It's also the most affordable suit option for 3.75" figures. I'm really glad that it exists. It also uses the same buck as Professor X, who uses the buck from a Joe figure.

snake5289 08-16-2016 04:47 PM

Prof. X looks like a great Lex stand-in. Wouldn't even need to change his head.

Lol! That's what I thought when I looked at it too.

LordMudd 08-16-2016 06:36 PM

That base would be cool in translucent color for characters like Sinestro and GL.

No those are not the best sites at all. I left them because they deleted pictures or "archived" them because I supposedly went over the limit.
Photobucket is the worst. Photobucket makes you go to their site to view the larger ones. I pity the people who do not have an Adblocker then.
Imgur is better but they have a limit of how many photos you can have. If you go over that limit they just archive the oldest ones. That disconnects them from everywhere.

What other image hosting sites are there that are better? I haven't stumbled upon any.

The main problem with Imgur is that ever since they made it a social media/image sharing site that part of it is eating away at their servers and leaving less room for the image hosting part of it which is all that Imgur was initially all about.

They really need to get a server upgrade.

I have been using...
Upload A Photo - CtrlV.in Image Hosting

you don't get a gallery to keep but you can just create a text file to keep track of the links

Thanks! I think I'll just stick with Imgur. It looks like I've reached my limit since those Flash pictures just disappeared. Hopefully it was just a malfunction that occurred because of the very long and wonky upload from the Imgur app on my phone.

That would be perfect but it's too bad that the skin tone on the head and the Prof. X buck is too different.
