Is there any kind of ignore list or way to block a specific user so I don't see any of their posts? I know you can do it on TFW, but I can't seem to figure it out here. It might just be me being dumb.

Thank you for using punctuation and capitalization. It makes it easy to read your post from start to finish. I am being serious. I legitimately appreciate when text is legible.

EDIT: Never mind. The problem sorted itself out. Thanks.

yes, you go to their user tab and click the tab "user list" then scroll down to ignore.

Dr Kain 05-31-2019 09:42 PM

Wow, I didn't do it this time.

I could definitely go for this. I'd love to have a Malice to go with Mr Sinister.

I want three eras of my main X-Men team. The early Cockrum/Byrne stuff of Wolverine, Storm, Banshee, Colossus, Cyclops, Phoenix, and Nightcrawler.

The team from Mutant Massacre/Fall of the Mutants consisting punk Storm, brown Wolverine, Dazzler, Havok, Longshot, Rogue, Shadowcat, Colossus, and British Psylocke.

The cartoon team of Cyclops, Storm, Jean, Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, Wolverine, and Beast.

I went to the Walmart store just yesterday and holy crap they were all out of the recent Marvel Legends X-Men wave. Damn. Guess Ill have to order them online from amazon or whatever.

at least the walmart store still has the Avengers Endgame wave

JCarterVA 06-01-2019 04:35 AM

Went to a Walmart yesterday and found Silver Sable and Night Thrasher on Spider-man far from home endcap. No new Spidey figures. Lookout for these endcaps if you are still looking for the Kingpin wave.

Your Walmart got in the new wave? Mine still has Havok, Iceman, Polaris, and Shatterstar collecting dust. Oh, and a ton of Gwenpools and one Prowler.

Still can't find Worthy Cap and Binary Marvel at any Wal-marts in the Chicago area

TheBlueMarvel 06-01-2019 07:25 AM

RANDOM:
This may have been discussed already, but I noticed some interesting things when inspecting pictures of the upcoming Scorpion. Beyond the obvious new Mid-Large mold (i,e Grim-Reaper, Whirlwind, Punisher, Kraven et al), I see that Hasbro opted for a ball-joint torso over the ab-crunch. My initial thoughts were that Hasbro was engaging in a strategic homage to the Toy Biz Scorpion masterpiece. "Strategic" in the sense that many Legends collectors consider that fig to be one of the very best Toy Biz had to offer and failing to match the effort (let alone improve on it) would result in considerable egg on the face - cough - Shocker - COUGH - canon Mysterio. Essentially, play it safe and just faithfully reproduce the original outing - easy peasy. Then I glanced over at my recently acquired Caliban wave and remembered that Beast has a combo ball-joint-ab-crunch (which I think I'm digging - check back with me in six months), which in turn made me think of the 80th Anniversary Hulk which also appears to have a ball-joint torso.

All of this got me wondering if we could be seeing a slow creep toward the more aesthetically pleasing (for some - not me) ball-joint for male figs bringing them in-line with the females. Recent Hulk figs have featured ball joints for the past 4 (or so) iterations, so that's not that unusual of an occurrence. Meh, it's probably nothing...however, if Hasbro is contemplating trying to make their wares more visually appealing at the expense of functionality/articulation, well, I'm not sure if I want that...I recently declared my preference for a less articulated Loki sporting a superior sculpt, but that's suitable (imo) for one-offs and I'm not certain I'm on board for a line-wide shift in design.

EDIT...and RANDOM (redux):
I see now that the Ark has become even more mainstream with an Amazon roll-over (ohh...ahh...corporate sponsorship can only make things better, right?), the powers that be have removed easy access to the forums from the front page. Can't have all that vitriol and humanity on full display, now can we? Another layer of annoyance...

Keep waiting. Its people who are impatient the reason why scalpers exist. They are street dated for June 1st..today. Give it at least 3 months before saying "I cant find Cap". Even if they did come out early in your area, chances are scalpers took them out early..expect to wait for the next shipment.

Binary Marvel has not really hit North America so expect to wait for that as well.

Wait or pay the scalpers on Ebay.

Boy Blunder 06-01-2019 09:02 AM

@TBM, I think that Hasbro is moving the ab swivel/crunch combo, since they've been using those exclusively on both the Overwatch Ultimates and Power Rangers Lightning Collection figures. Wouldn't be surprised if that becomes the new standard for their 6" lines overall.

Yeah I noticed this seems to be on a lot of figures too. If nothing else, it might make customizing a bit easier. The female figures are super easy to pop apart. Wouldn't mind the same treatment on the male figure torsos.

Yeah... I just had to Ebay for Mystique and Iron Doom. None of the Walgreens in an hour radius of me had them.

Honestly, the exclusives are becoming a bit of a problem.

Target seems to be the only place that even tries to distribute them to nearly every store and have a decent online presence for them. Even then, some of their recent exclusives just totally vanished. For me it was the Spider-Verse 2 pack and the Quantum Suit Avengers.

With Walmart, I've found that I will stumble across their exclusives 3-9 months later after an employee finds a box of them that just sat in the warehouse collecting dust for months.

With Walgreens, I just give up. The hunt for them isn't even fun.

Now, the only exclusives I regret missing are:
Dark Phoenix/Cyclops - Saw them at a closing TRU but had no money at the time.
Scarlet Witch/Vision - Also saw them at that same closing TRU
SDCC Red Skull
SDCC Netflix Defenders
SDCC Book of Vishanti
Silver Surfer - Never saw in a year of Walgreens checking.
Miles/Gwen 2-pack - Kept putting it off and then they just vanish entirely from shelves before the Oscar win, unexpected given how the Infinity War and Civil War 2 packs shelf warmed for a long time.

You can always try trading as well..some areas get more than others. Lets say your area might get more cyclops than mine, now I'm out to look for it..mean while I get a lot of Surfers.

So with that said, I do have a surfer if you have a cyclops lol

Good point in Overwatch and PRs. Hasbro is likely to engineer greater Legends/Overwatch/PRs/Star Wars parity, if only to save money on manufacturing. Like I said, I THINK I like the Beast 'ab-crunch-ball-joint,' but I'll need to see how it looks on smaller figs before I know definitively whether I like it or not.

that would suck, i know i personally would need all the characters remade then lol, beast tho he can still fit in with the x-men due to him being a big buck , but like that buckycap bucks it'd bother me having them made different , kinda like how the figures that were released new still had the aweful ball jointed hips, just hope they do the 90s havok before then , so if they change the ab crunch to that i wont need to buy them anymore. but me i guess, and yea i do like the power rangers but i have no plans in mix matching them with legends cept for maybe the movie red skull.

Sadly, I've been burned way too many times with trades so I tend to stick to pure monetary transactions. Nothing personal but there was a while when I'd have been all for it and then a series of bad trades *not on this forum* soured me to it.

You had a problem getting this? I jumped on this the moment it became available on Hasbro toy shop. Turns out it was still available months later.

You might get a second chance at the Dark Phoenix set. Several of the TRU exclusives have been re-released as Fan Channel exclusives since TRU closed last year. The Hydra and Vision/SW 2 packs received a Fan Channel re-release last year and the Black Series Commander Gree went up for preorder a few weeks ago on the FC. I haven't heard any rumors about the Dark Phoenix set being re-released but it was extremely popular and Hasbro is making a big push for the X-Men now.

Again a missed oppurtunity. Grizzly shoulda been the baf ( coulda done an alphaflight wave with guardian and wendigo ) and replace guardian with either classic warpath or black n grey xforce version, same with nightcrawler and cannonball should had legs to swap out. Really only gonna grab boom boom and nightcrawler...maybe sinister. The rest is an easy pass.

Cannonball not having legs is definitely a huge fail

SymbiSpidey 06-01-2019 05:27 PM

Apparently it's up for pre-order in-store at GameStop. According to them, it's hitting in July, along with FFH, EG Wave 2, the Magneto, SW and QS 3-pack and some 80th anniversary stuff. Ugh lol

MeLikeJinx 06-01-2019 05:33 PM

I hope the flame part on Cannonball comes off easy... then maybe you can just use somebody else's waist and legs.
