I know a few people who have worked at Walmart for several years. According to them the toy dept. is one of hardest areas to stock because it's always a mess & takes a while to straighten up. Then when stocking you have to put each item in a certain place & that is tedious. They have told me it's one of the most undesirable jobs in the store because after all that they then have to deal with a bunch of irate fanboys/girls!

My Target has Alice from The Brady Bunch, Paige Halliwell (the one who wasn’t played by Alyssa Milano, Shannon Doherty or Rose McGowan) from Charmed, Samantha Stevens from Bewitched, one of Charlie’s Angels who isn’t Farrah Fawcett and the aformentioned Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure 2 pack. I absolutely hate these things. I also believe rooted hair has no place in the boys toy aisle. Fight me bro. That WWE doll line was a f***ing disaster.

If they manage to do all of the Cheers gang, I would be interested in collecting those but otherwise a solid pass for me. I keep seeing Norm pegwarming with Cliff and Woody shown on the package. Did those ever get released? It would be great to see these done by another company with parts of the famous bar counter that they all stood behind and around as a BAF. Cheers done Legends style!

I just think they belong with the other entertainment toys, like over with NECA and the Pops.
"Fight me bro". Good lord, are you twelve? |

I was just in Target the other day trying to find a way to get the $25 gift card with $100 spent on toys deal going and I couldn't do it since all their Marvel Legends were from the Captain Marvel wave or older and even their Transformers were older figures. |

I thought this was a Marvel Legends thread. What the hell do Megos & old tv shows have to do with Marvel Legends?

I've noticed that this thread does become a general chat quite often.
I don't personally mind it, I assume it's just because of how many frequent it. |

It was meant to sound douchey.

Back to Marvel though.... I really feel that, based on Jubilee and Beast being more accurate to the comics than the cartoon, that Storm will be Silver and the new Jean won’t have a ponytail head. |

I'm not worried if they are comic or cartoon accurate, I just want them. It's like some people are now complaining that Nightcrawler's heads aren't 100% accurate to the Cockrum/Byrne art, but right now, I'm just happy I'll finally have him. I'll worry about getting an artist specific version down the road like I did with Green Goblin and Hobgoblin. Nevertheless, I'm still glad to have a GG and Hobby in my collection.

There really is no precedent for it though, and even if it came with the extra head the color of her suit wouldn’t be accurate (it was closer to a flesh tone, not yellow in the cartoon). I still think the best way to release animated series style figures would be 4 sets of 2 packs.
Beast (new head)/Storm (White, with pupils) Wolverine/Jubilee (BAF head) Rogue/Gambit (flat colors, no metallics) Cyclops/Jean (ponytail head) There will never be enough X Men figures released, bring em on. |
The X-Men have always been my favorite part of Marvel comics, so I'll take anyone they want to put out. I started reading comics in the early 90's, so any costume from that era is preferred by me, but I understand if that's not everyone's cup of tea.
I'm just hoping they get as many figures out as possible before they introduce the X-Men in the greater MCU and we get waves upon waves of movie figures. *Edit, not that there's anything wrong with that, I just prefer comic figures over movie ones. |

And I'm in the same boat. Got into the comics because of the animated series, then just went nuts on the franchise as a whole, so the 90s are very formative to me as a fan. |
I know we're all hoping that if the 3 pack isn't a rumor, that it's the 90's versions of Scott, Jean and Logan, but what if it's their current costumes?
|

I haven't been following the current dreck that is Uncanny, how are Scott and Logan's costumes new? |
X Men Red Jean’s costume is so terrible. Story sucked too, it got cancelled after issue #11. Hasbro should know better. There are about 10 versions of Jean that aren’t a Jim Lee redo that would sell better than that monstrosity.

Ran into the Far From Home shipper today at Walmart, which not only continues the trend of not fully utilizing the space properly by filling it with empty cardboard, but there also wasn't a single FFH figure in it...it instead came bundled with THE KINGPIN WAVE of all things.
Meanwhile...the rest of the aisles looked like this. Oh....and still no sign of Power and Glory Cap. This is indicative of just why these so many people frown upon Walmart. Walmart's shitty ready scan system of ordering (as well as not offering their exclusives online without threatening your bank account or holding it hostage) along with Hasbro's bungling of promotions really does nothing to help us. So hoping someone roasts Hasbro on this once the panel begins at SDCC...because it needs to be said. |
