Dude, the story was miles better than the other X-Books at the time (Marc Guggenheim can take a goddamn hike).

Either way, I'd buy an XMR Jean. As well as a Jim Lee Jean. And any other version they release. Hasbro's all about makin' those dollars, so I don't see why they wouldn't get as many sales as they could.

@Triv: Man, all these Walmarts are looking exactly the same these days. Nothing on the pegs except for Wasp and some of the Captain Marvel wave around here. It's not even worth checking any more (except that, unlike Target, they're the only ones out here to have the Overwatch two-packs). I hope you can get ahold of that Cap without too much trouble eventually. If one pops up in my zone, I'll try and grab him for you.

Tim 06-03-2019 12:18 PM

Well I haven’t had any luck finding that new Captain America. The stores say the have 20 plus but only like 4-5 on the pegs. So I’m guessing I’ll find the Worthy caps in 6 months when a employee stumbles across the box sitting in the back

Give asking an employee a shot. You might have luck if you ask someone at the store pickup area as they seem to be more willing to check the stockroom than a random employee on the floor.

I might do that. I have tried it before but get the usual “whatever’s out there is all we got” response

I know it would never ever happen, but I think Hasbro should make these X-Men characters for Marvel Legends

Age of Apocalypse Wolverine/Weapon X
Age of Apocalypse Iceman
Age of Apocalypse Colossus
Age of Apocalypse Dark Beast
Sugar Man build a figure

Artie and Leech two pack
Generation X figure wishlist
M
Skin
Chamber
Mondo
Synch
Exodus - regular X-Men bad guy
Penance build a figure

I haven't been following the current dreck that is Uncanny, how are Scott and Logan's costumes new?

Gawddamnit....cyclops is alive again? If ever there was an x character i was happy to see die a slow painful death it was him. ;)

Boy Blunder 06-03-2019 02:46 PM

Dude, come on. Just because he gets shafted by a lot of writers doesn't mean he deserves that kind of hate. He's got his place, just like every other member of the X-Men.

Except Fantomex. His place is the garbage fire where he belongs. Only character in the 55 years of the franchise that I cannot convince myself to see any value in. His best contribution is that he raised Evan and gave Psylocke a pretty ladyfriend to get freaky with. That's about it.

Honestly, with the way things are going, I think we could easily get an AoA Wolverine/Weapon X. They apparently need to include 1 Wolverine per wave. The rest of the AoA crew could be in exclusive sets or even retail release. I'd love some more AoA characters.
As for the Gen X whislist, Chamber has been running around the X books recently, he could happen. And I feel like Exodus is a pretty big 90's character. I think we could get him eventually.

I always had a severe dislike of ol one eye. Maybe its just hes most always come across as a bit of a goody goody or monstourous douchebag. Plus ive never really liked his rather boring and odd costumes.

Honestly i want vulcan back. Outta all the summers brothers ( i smell variety comedy show haha ) hes the only one who hadnt treated his significant other like crap. ;)

I was pretty into the Uncanny X-Men Cyclops. The team was interesting with Magik, Emma, and Magneto with "broken" powers.. I liked that they added a super pissed off Dazzler to the team and was looking forward to where that was going, but of course the inevitable reboot happened. Then characters and storylines I was getting into were completely discarded. Stupid All New, All Different Marvel. I really hated that they decided to make the Inhumans a big deal and sidelined most of the X-Men. At least Walgreens will have Emma Frost and maybe someday we will get a white Magneto to complete the team.

While I loved the ANADM stories, I do agree that the ending of all the books was crap, and the Inhumans push... well, that bit them in the ass. Ike Perlmutter can go jump in a lake.

kylactus 06-03-2019 05:10 PM

I think most of the inhumans push was as a result of Disney not having the rights to x men, I’ve noticed ever sense marvel has re acquired the x men for the MCU the AOS inhuman storylines, the spin off series, the comic inhuman domination of mutants, and the planned inhumans movie have all fallen away, I think Disnarvel was using them more as a workaround for mutants. Now that they aren’t needed they’ve been discarded by the mouse...

I honestly don't know, I only read X-Men Gold, but they recently canceled the X-Men titles to do a reboot

Which is kinda sad as inhumans ARE an interesting bunch but never really given a decent chance. Id like to see both mutants and inhumans get an equal push.

I’d like to see more New Mutants and more Alpha Flight. Artie and Leech would be great, because we need more classic X-Factor too, to go with Cyclops. I’d love a Firefist.

I think it's more than the Inhuman TV show bombed massively and they're letting it cool down before trying anything really new with those characters.

Quake and Ms. Marvel seem to still be getting their push, though I wish they'd come up with a Quake figure, even if it's the comic version.

^ Always loved that Cerebro door setup of yours ever since I first saw it.

And I was looking at all the Age of Apocalypse costumes since some mentioned wanting AoA figs... and trying to be as objective as I can... they are all hideous IMO... everyone looks like pirates... well, except Magneto who kinda looks like regular Magneto.

I'd really like for Hasbro to repack the upcoming Amazon three pack figure as an individual toy and they could just give him his AoA head to keep it different.

Weapon X 06-03-2019 08:06 PM

I have still yet to spot Loki and Corvus Glaive in the wild. I just got hired at Walmart, so maybe I can start keeping a better eye out for these things.
