Mine too. Of my top 10 wanted figures of never done before characters 4 of them are the remainder of the original alpha flight team. Needs to get done.

As an aside: Since we're about a month a week away from SDCC and they're showing of all kinds of stuff, that may or may not get shown before then (ha Jim lee storm was #1 one must see), I'm expecting to see:

new figure reveals:

Moonstar. C'mon Hasbro. With Walgreens having her in their system already, don't let us down on getting her AGAIN.

Jim Lee Storm (Black Outfit), and another (if she's is coming and is in this wave) 1-2 figures from the 2020 X-Men wave.

Another Thunderbolt Member, prefer Mach II/IV

Another Alpha Flight Member (5-6 more would be nice but as best we could probably hope for 2 with Northstar/Aurora.)

Whatever is wave 3 of the Endgame coming in the fall. Having not seen Endgame I have no guesses. A new Classic Falcon would be nice but I don't know if I expect it necessarily.

Iron Man 2020 to fit in some wave for next year.

I don't know if I expect her....but ya'll know I WANT to see...Firestar. Duh.

If that rumored Havok/Polaris set is real then that as well. But I'm not completely hooked that's the case.

Already seen but in box figures:

Emma Frost
Hela/Executioner
80th Anniversary Thor...

I think that's all that we haven't seen in packaging yet, if we include the online preorders? I admit I've missed a bit the last month and a half but feel like I'm mostly catching up.

HOT DAMN! Now that's the Hulk I've been waiting for!

En Sabah Nerd 06-11-2019 06:15 PM

Heyyy, I was right the torn shirt is removable. I've had the set pre-ordered but it's nice to see more pics to tide me over.

You were right and so was I regarding the butterfly joints in the armpits.

But I also know that if it's a set that I don't want, I will lament at least another year...to never...of something I really would want. Which I guess is the same way for regular figures every year that passes by.

But I'm set on Hellfire Club because unlike Alpha Flight and New Mutants I know there's no way they'd make them for retail. Sebastian Shaw and Donald Pierce maybe but not the ladies.

Speaking of, as a tangential comment, I only just now realized that Tessa spelled backwards is Asset. Which is what she was to Xavier, retconned. I wouldn't say no to a Tessa figure, but not at the cost of replacing someone like Selene.

They could put Sage in a regular wave, she's been, an X-Man, an Exile and part of Excalibur

STAHP! No tempting me, I really don't want to drop $60 for a hulk figure

Augustus_Cole 06-11-2019 06:47 PM

the definitive comic Hulk...

Grant C 06-11-2019 06:53 PM

Much better looking than the Rufalo Hulk BAF!

that's a great feature that Dorkside has. a 360 is a great way to see the figs beforehand.

i'm gonna use that ice man .. uh.. ice trail.. (don't know what to call it) for sub zero.

^ I like the BAF Juggernaut better... I prefer my Juggernaut more brownish than red. Also I don't really do battle displays, so the broken helmet is kinda useless for me and I like the dented BAF helmet more than the new shiny pristine helmet.

I'm gonna gamble and pass on white Storm in hopes of a black version later on. I already have punk Storm and Storm is not a character I like enough to buy 3 different versions of her.

does that Juggernaut have a belly button??..

I mentioned it a while back, but the MJ head fits on several of the newer female bodies that have come out recently, including Claire. The skin tone for Claire is also a near perfect match, and MJ's hands were originally Claire's.

haha..it's so terrible it's good.

Nice pickups by the way DTCole...my wave should be arriving from Phoenix tomorrow. I'll never figure out how I can mail something to New York and it can arrive to it's destination quicker than something mailed to me from Phoenix, which is a mere two hours drive away.

On another note...After still not being able to find the Walmart exclusive Cap in store, I succumbed to just grabbing him off of Ebay for a half decent price thanks to a 10 dollar Ebay coupon I had that was about to expire.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...d8d5c4_k_d.jpg

Having him in hand, I can easily say that this is the definitive MCU Cap. I originally thought that this Cap borrowed from the Infinity War Cap in terms of remolded sculpt, but the upper torso is mostly new, and the shoulder pads are extra pieces that are glued to the figure as opposed to being sculpted on like the IW figure. The proportions are also way better (finally fixed his tiny hands) and the roll of the dice motion in his Mjonir holding hand is a very nice touch. Mjonir and the shield are nicely deco'd as well, although my Mjonir had a rather noticeable divot in it from where the plastic was most likely injected into the mold.

The head sculpts are really solid, although truthfully, I actually prefer the head sculpts from the Studios 10th series Cap over these. I was pleased to discover that those head sculpts do fit on the new figure with no alterations needed if I desired, and the new ones fit on the older figures as well. The skin tone is a tiny bit different, but not so noticeable that you can't unsee it.

As I said earlier, this is very easily the defining MCU Captain America, and in my opinion this should have been included in the first Endgame wave as a regular figure over the Quantum suited Cap...which should have been the exclusive (if necessary...)

I remember the butterfly joints were kind of visible with the display one at Toy Fair but this is a much clearer look.

The 80th anniversary stuff is really going to take a bite out of my wallet. The Hulk set, Juggernaut set, Ghost set, and Thor are all big wants. If I had finished the BAF Juggernaut maybe I'd be patient to see if the new pack will go on sale but all I have is Cain's top half so this pack is win-win since I also want Colossus. Hopefully it won't be too long before all of the non-exclusive stuff goes up for pre-order at the different sites.

I pointed it out on the very first images circulated; the boxed pictures released just before Toy Fair. While I'm not crazy about the disappearing ab-crunch and the limitations the design will create for dynamic posing, I'm greatly encouraged by the addition of butterfly joints for oversized figs like the Hulk. I was happy when Toy Biz did the same for a select few large characters and I sincerely hope this trend continues with Hasbro.

man we've bitched for a long time but...
i think for the 20.00 price point, 'most' Marvel Legends figures look great and we are getting our money's worth

...but why is that pipe positioned up his bunghole??

That looks amazing! Now if only I could find one on the pegs for $20 instead of online for $40-$50.

Just realizing that the Eternals movie is probably going to be on the radar for either 2020 or 2021. Aside from Sersi and Starfox, who are likely candidates/wishlist for a wave around this movie? Aside from them, Mentor, Sprite, Thanos and Ikaris my knowledge of Eternals is mostly nothing.

Weren't Mentor, Thanos, and Starfox all from Titan and not Eternals? I could be wrong myself. I've read a handful of Eternals comics, but I was never super interested in them. I know Sersi and Ikaris were Eternals. Depending on who Hasbro puts in a potential future wave, I could feasibly skip them all. I always buy comic designs, but when they are characters I don't really care for, it's an easy pass. Now watch the BAF will be something I want haha.
*Edit: I just looked up some stuff about the Eternals. Turns out the guys from Titan are indeed Eternals. I never knew!

I'm not super interested in them either, don't really care if we get anyone but Sersi LOL. She at the top of my list of classic Avengers I want (depending on if you don't count Firestar and Justice among "classic" - some put it pre Onslaught and some put it pre Disassembled)

Other than Sersi I really wouldn't have an interest in any of them, even Starfox. He's always been a cringeworthy, creepy character for me.

i have one left for sale

************************************************** ****

i am 100% keeping the old Scorpion figure. The new one is going up for sale.
The older one looks more 'comic-booky' to me. The new one's sculpt is much more in line with a more normal human body. I want comic book proportions.
