The more I look at the three pack Scarlet Witch the more impatient I become waiting for the pack to release.

MeLikeJinx 06-12-2019 09:25 PM

^ I think I prefer the Odin wave Scarlet Witch, but now I feel like I have to go out and grab a Sabertooth since I have the Family Matters set coming and already have Juggernaut and Mystique. I doubt we will get a new Pyro or Toad though or a re-release of Blob. Is Emma Frost a part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants too? I hope we get a classic White Queen version of her soon.

TheBlueMarvel 06-12-2019 09:49 PM

The All-father wave Witch is cool enough, but I actually think her modern look is an improvement and super-heroines with heels are a peeve of mine.

Also, that Quicksilver mansion rescue scene was nearly worth the ticket price alone. I still watch the scene on Youtube to this day.

Yeah my wife and I watched it and liked it. We still love the X-Men movies.

Thanks! I think this Wendigo looks much better than the new one coming out.

Is your username referring to Macross Zero? If so, I’m also a Macross fan.

mimic616 06-13-2019 06:01 AM

Just got the Far From Home Hydro-Man, it's really cool!
I hope we get a repaint of Sandman from him.

Nah, it's just a shortened form of my last name and zero. As for being a Macross fan, I can't say that I am but I did make it a goal to complete the series. I think I did several years ago.

I honestly couldn't see why not though. They've been doing it in reverse with the comic versions having MCU follow ups (Shuri, Klaw and Mysterio immediately come to mind) so I don't see why we wouldn't see a comic Mandarin, Yondu, Grandmaster, Killmonger, or Executioner come down the pipe.

Yeah, that's my point. It doesn't seem like we've ever had a comic figure come out after the MCU figure has debuted. It feels intentional as if Hasbro is saying "you got the movie version, we're not putting out another one". Granted this is only the case for B list and below characters.

Captain Nash 06-13-2019 07:51 AM

Taking a thread from Fwoosh, so know this is not my idea, just wanted to get thoughts on this. We're getting a few more major X-men villains done /redone this year. Who's left of major (A or B list is my thought) X-Men villains? to me:

Redos:
Lady Deathstrike
Mojo
Avalanche (I'm counting the X-Men Classics figure as a ML in this case but I'd want his traditional look)
Pyro
Spiral (I'm perfectly happy with the one we have but I know she was hard to find)

New:
Sebastian Shaw
Selene
Exodus
Nimrod
Black Tom Cassidy
Madelyne Pryor
Mastermind
Callisto
Astral version of Shadow King

Of course there's others I'd want to see, but I think this mostly takes care of notable ones. I'm probably forgetting some one though!

My list, in order of priority:

Blob
Brood
Pyro
Lady Deathstrike

Mastermind
Toad
Deathbird
Sebastian Shaw
Selene
Donald Pierce
Avalanche
Cameron Hodge
Nimrod
Exodus
SugarMan
Black Tom

Ultimate Vulture and MCU Vulture released pretty close together (both are 2017 but I don't know which came first) ...And a classic Vulture is probably still on the books seeing as how classics of Thor, Cap, Hulk, etc. are still on the way even though they already have MCU counterparts... So IMO I don't think the MCU has any hold over comic figures getting made; they probably actually help push a classic character the the forefront that gets media attention from the movies.

Another use for that Chun-Li Tornado kick effect.... WHIRLWIND!!! (cracked the torso to separate him from his legs)

$ 22.00 plus exact shipping. Cost of course depends on location and if you want the original packaging.

All me. LoL. I used it with Siryn and have been looking for other places to throw it out there. The inevitable Banshee release will get to use it too. Ha!

My Far From Home Legends finally arrived. Took five days to seriously travel 100 miles down the road...*shakes head in bewilderment.

For any of you wondering, while these are showing up at Walgreens, they are street dated for the 23rd of June for most retailers for some reason...

Spyne98 06-13-2019 06:04 PM

Sweet twister effect, Bo
Glad to see your stuff arrived, Triv. I can't wait to get my hands on that wave!

I'm sure we'll see most if not all of these at some point but I think Deathstrike and Pierce are gonna be on the fast track since they have started the Reavers. I really want a first appearance Deathbird...I like the simplicity of the winged look.

Dr Kain 06-13-2019 09:34 PM

I got a $5 credit to Pulse for taking a survey, so I used it to preorder Dazzler since I had already ordered Storm.

Yeah, that could happen with the Reavers. I feel like it would be some kind of exclusive/multi-pack thing. They might also do Toad and Mastermind to complete the classic Brotherhood of Evil Mutants with that stupidly named "family matters" 3-pack. Stupid thing doesn't even have an Urkel.
I would fight people for it if Hasbro did a SDCC Freedom Force 5-pack of Spiral, Destiny, Pyro, Avalanche, and Blob.
They haven't actually announced anything for SDCC yet right???

Augustus_Cole 06-13-2019 10:17 PM

kinda pleasantly surprised with the BAF "smart" Hulk. didn't think i wanted it but once again.. in hand.. the figure is kinda cool..plus i mean... it's the Hulk!!

Thats a good thing. Two of three worst Toybiz ML have been redone with Rogue and Scarlet Witch, it's time to get that third done and give us a non horrendous Deathstrike. I've said it before, even back when it was released 12 years ago and we didn't know there could be better, it was still a fugly figure and we all knew it.

what IronMan figure are you MCU collectors using as your default in your display.. or what is your main, 'go to' MCU iron man??

I took down my MCU display but I think I was using the Civil War version last... probably would have swapped out with the 10yr version if I had kept them up.

Bo Ttef 06-14-2019 10:23 AM

Speaking of "Thinning the Herd" What is everyone's default Masters of Evil... not looking for a massive roster of every Marvel Villain Hasbro has made- (Thanks for whoever decided that every Villain in Bagalia was considered a member...)

For me it’s only really one MCU Iron man I use and its the Avengers 10th Iron man. He’s easily the best iron man figure damn near perfect imo
