I think that is if you pay via paypal. I think Paypal forces you to put out the money immediately. It has for all my other retailers.

No, there was a coupon code that popped up on the submission screen that said you needed to copy down the code before closing the browser screen.

I want to say it was fandom52019, but I'm not sure if that code was for me specifically or if that was a general code.

It was the same for me.

Wow, that sounds bad. I had a store once I ordered a figure from that stated it was in stock on a Saturday and I kind of needed the figure by that following Wed, so I paid $15 for overnight delivery. The confirmation email said it would be shipped out within 24 business hours, so Monday or Tuesday.

The following weekend comes along and my figure still hadn't been shipped out. I emailed them and then the Thursday after that they said they were waiting for the figure to be restocked before they fulfilled my order, which would be in 2-3 weeks.

Suffice to say I forced them to refund me and never ordered from them again. I think the store was called Toysnjoys or something like that.

Not sure why I worded it like that but yes I mean to say I love the option of paying upfront.

You can't use Paypal for preorders though. I tried several times and it wouldn't let me so when I emailed them they told me Paypal is only for instock orders.

Interesting. How do you choose that then?

I would love to pay for my Storm now.

If anyone is looking for the FFH wave. I suggest checking your Walmarts. I just found the entire wave at my store. Only picked up Mysterio for now. And man he’s amazing. His helmet alone is awesome as hell,
It seems like these MCU legends just keep getting better. I definitely prefer him to the comic legend fig. For the fishbowl alone

Question about the FFH/Classic Scorpion, is the lower face green from his mask or left exposed?

I don't have one in had, so I may be wrong, but looking at a close up...
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/01...g?v=1557175735
...it looks like the lower face is painted green, but there seems to be some lines if you wanted to use them as a guide to paint more of a flesh tone on it.

Yep...it's painted green but there are clearly sculpted lines for where it should have been left exposed. I mentioned that in my write up a day or two ago.

It's a shame in a way but I guess you can't have it both ways. If the face was more exposed I would consider this on par/upgrade to the Toybiz one. As much as I'm trying to phase out the Toy Biz figures I'll stick with that one, maybe if this one is way below retail in a year, I'll get it.

Also all, and someone may have said this, check your walgreens for this wave. I was at the nearby one getting medicine and they had the black Spider-man suit and the regular spider-man.

Is this the Street Cloths 3 pak that has been rumored?

Thanks for that!

just flipped through the video, hoping for some kind of update on Moonstar. nothing. Gah. And no update on the Hela/Executioner release date, so double gah, though we at least know that's coming.

Also still can dream/hope that the Emma Frost will come with an alt Selene head so long as we haven't seen in packaging pictures yet.

Hulkwummy 06-20-2019 01:50 PM

What about the Polaris / Havok 2-pack?

They're mentioned, surmising likely will be X-Factor 90's costumes but no confirmation for sure.

Weirdly, I did a dive for some reference images of him from the comics, and even there it's been depicted like the toy, with a clearly marked area where his skin should be exposed, but it's still colored green. And these are from recent books, too, where it just being a colorist's error is a lot less likely than in the older comics.

Maybe they just really like giving him the gimp mask look.

They haven't said what versions of the characters, just that they're coming, If I had to guess I'd say Jim Lee Cyke with bomber jacket and unmasked head, plaid shirt wolvie and 90's Jean maybe with an alt ponytail head

Augustus_Cole 06-20-2019 02:13 PM

@Mars you ever make "civilian women" figs??

and RE: Scorpion
I had the figure when i bought the wave. I stood it side by side with the Toybiz one and the Toybiz version won. I liked my character looking more comic book exaggerated... so i sold my Scorpion. Then i KEPT seeing people pose him.. so being the AFS that i am (Action Figure Sucka). I swung by a Duane Reade and grabbed another one. Now he is posed at my desk at work. It's just damn cool fig.

Boy Blunder 06-20-2019 02:20 PM

Cole, I'm a Transformers collector who has bought and sold so many versions of various characters, and I will never match the tier of AFS that you are :D

Cool thanks for confirming, I saw some of them today but wasnt sure if there was an unpainted lower mouth variant to match the different looks from the comics

Glad we've got him though - hope we get an updated classic vulture next for the Spider-man villains!

Nope, maybe if I had the room to build dioramas I might worry about female civilians.

My friend, let me know who you're selling at some point. I might be interested.
