The main Legends section was pretty barren except for six six-armed Spideys so when I spotted the display from a distance it really got my hopes up, and the only Legends in said display were three cases worth of Endgame wave 1 with Herc and Ebony Maw already gone. Because that's what goes in the display for the new Spider-Man movie, Avengers toys I can find cheaper online. The hunt for Mysterio goes on.

He's in stock on Hasbro Pulse.

trying to avoid doubling up on characters displayed near each other... it's... a weird OCD thing... lol... so no-go on Wasp Wanda or Viz... I would love to add Tigra but her Toybiz figure is $$$ and not a super great figure to dump $50 into... fingers crossed that we get a new version asap.

The new DC Essentials Cheetah is a perfect base for Tigra if you customize, it's my next project

I wasn't planning on collecting that line, but Cheetah and the new WW have made me reconsider

Bo Ttef 07-01-2019 08:45 AM

She's a beautiful figure- but that height... I know she can be scrunched down or put in the back, but side-by-side and back-to-back... she's a good 6.5ft+ tall... (She's probably the next Select Colossus in the fits/doesn't fit arguments- lol) I'll hold out and hope we see a new ML Tigra soon...

I think we will by end of next year at least. As far as redos of classic Avengers that already exist by either Hasbro or TB, is it just Tigra and Falcon left or am I missing any others?

I really hope so but I read somewhere that the ML team said we were unlikely to get a scantily clad Emma outside of a con exclusive, here's hoping the same isn't true for a bikini wearing cat girl

Yeah- I think you're right on those two... we've had every other "classic" Avenger re-made since Return of Marvel Legends. Maybe we'll see something at SDCC...

I think we will, before a lot of other new characters get made for the first time except for Sersi as she's to be the primary character for the Eternals film from what I've read.

My logic is these were characters that were on their radar once, it's likely now that they don't fit in with the rest of the figures made the last 7 years, that they are more likely to be on their radar again.

What if they finally reveal Firestar but as part of a three pack with a blue recolor of the vintage card Iceman and another pizza Spidey?

Works for me. When it's someone that high up on my list, I gotta do what I gotta do lol.

En Sabah Nerd 07-01-2019 10:41 AM

I would do whatever it took to own a Legends Stingray. He was in the first Avengers comic I read, and he's still one of my favorite designs.

It's possible, bust as evidenced by the 80th Anniversary line, they can always release improvements on older figures to help stabilize the line while making other less-popular figures.

For X-Men related figures, no.

For everything else, yes. Or at least until all that's left is figures too revealing or controversial to make for brick and mortar: classic Hellstrom, Satana, Morgan Le Fay, and the like.

The head sculpt on that figure is really weird looking

My comment was not entirely in jest as I do dig his classic outfit. I could see his wings being potentially problematic though. Soft goods could be an option for non-flight wings but I feel like he'd have to have sculpted plastic for the flying position.

yeah but those improvements were vast.. years in the making. a lot of toybiz were PAST due for updates.
i just saw a comparison from the new wolvy from the older one (x-force). aside from the height.. there'd be no need for me to update a fig that recent.

I agree with this personally. I think anything from Toy biz definitely needs an update if it hasn't had one yet, and the same for the first few Hasbro legends waves as well. Somewhere around the Red Hulk and Ares wave they seemed to start getting it more right than not, as I feel many of those figures still are fine, with the exception of Kang, and that's because he was actually part of the F4 line and was still originally made at the time Hasbro was on a learning curve.

Anything from ROML onwards I don't have any real issues with aside from scarcity, so I mean no real issues with the sculpts themselves outside of the Jim lee Jean Grey and Puck series Emma Frost.
