This is what I have, I'd prefer to sell them as a set. I'll let them go for $65 shipped loose or $74 sealed. That averages out to about $3.80 loose or $4.35 sealed per figure, so it's an awesome deal (I paid twice that much, but like I said earlier, they're just collecting dust). If anyone is interested PM me. By the way KL, I have a loose Batman like the one you asked about, but I kind of want to keep it (I'm a sucker for Batman stuff).

Looking to flip these for some DCUC. Check out BD's Place of Bidness to see my DCUC wants.

So BBTS delivered the New 52 Superman and Batman to me yesterday and I finally decided to open them earlier today...

...SO DISAPPOINTED IN SUPERMAN!

His right arm fell off the second I took him out of the plastic and while it can be put back on, it's not a snug fit and it falls off with very little pressure no matter how far back you try to push it. You can't even pull off the left arm without feeling like you'll break it so something really got fucked up and missed in QA.

His ab crunch thing is also broken in that if you ab crunch him forward he just pops all the way back wards one you let go of the pressure to move him forward. Legs are too loose at the hips and he has no double jointed knees and he can't look up very well.

Batman I actually like, but his lack of double jointed knees and no rocker ankles make me wish Hasbro was making DC figures in the 6" scale. I guess I'm just too indoctrinated into the Legends line and maybe my expectations are unreasonable, I dunno. His legs are a bit loose at the hips too.

So with that, my Senior Quality Engineer did a quick inspection. He didn't like what he saw:

Here's a pic of both in scale with the Legends line from Hasbro:

Hahahahahahahahaha that made me rofl hard. Not that fact your Superman has some serious QC issues, that sucks. But the Hulk coming in and roflstomping supes was pretty awesome.

So I'm not the only one with the ab crunch problem good to hear in a way. But puts him through the test which is excellent!!

SwindlesShop 08-16-2012 09:26 PM

did your batman have problems?

Tiberius 08-16-2012 09:27 PM

You know, I am really bummed on the Superman QC problems. I really want him to be the first to start off my New 52 collection.

Love that S.

iLegends73 08-17-2012 02:15 AM

just updated my bst for DCUC. i really was heavy in that line and its a few i couldn't get rid of. batman legacy joker, harley quinn, modern batman, metal men, sinestro corp and red lanterns. i just couldn't drop those lol. i gotta say out of all the ones that i let go the hardest was two-face. that is my ALL TIME fav dc villain. i might have a hook up on the DCSH version still carded so i'll be cool with that

Dr Kain 08-17-2012 07:17 AM

I'm still deciding if I wanted the New 52 figures. I mean, I wanted them this time last year when the New 52 first came out. Now that all of the hype is gone and the comics have turned out to be quite lackluster in terms of writing, I just do not know if I care enough anymore.

Legends, why did you not want Legacy Joker? That Joker is down right awesome and the best Joker toy ever. The only thing he is missing is his hat.

I feel ya, I passed on the DCC New 52 JL gift set because I wanted something in scale with my Marvel 6" figures. But that Superman is just inexcusable and these figures are just barely more articulated than DCC so now I'm debating whether or not to cancel my pre-order for New 52 Flash and Wonder Woman and just invest in the DCC set.

As for the books not being good...well the ratio of bad to good out of the New 52 definitely isn't favorable. However, Snyder's Batman has been one of the best books consistently along with Animal Man, I Vampire and Swamp Thing. Wonder Woman has been good IMO and so has Aquaman (which is probably the biggest surprise of the New 52). The main GL book with Hal and Sinestro is the only thing good happening in GL related books and JL is mediocre nonsense (first arc at least certainly was).

Beyond the above I dropped a whole bunch of New 52 books for the same writing flaws you mentioned.

No Batman was fine. I did feel like the part of the hip that allows the leg to move forward and back was looser than I would have preferred, for example: from a standing position I can flick the back of his ankle slightly and he'll end up in a fully extended front kick pose, lol. Now as a kid that would have been awesome but I just pose figures now so loose limbs mean it just becomes more difficult to create dynamic static postures.

I really hate the lack of double jointed knees. Is this standard for DCUC figures? It should be noted that these were the first DC 6" figures I've ever bought, hence my disappointment.

lanternjv37 08-17-2012 08:30 AM

if you get the set, i'll take the GL, batman and superman off your hands?

jaybird7072 08-17-2012 08:44 AM

so has anyone seen ras al ghul anywhere? been looking all week and no luck. need him to complete the bat signal :(

hrothgars 08-17-2012 08:51 AM

Can someone post the SKU & Manufacturers Product Numbers for any of the All-Stars Wave packaging?

Dr Kain 08-17-2012 12:56 PM

Green, I've actually dropped all but Aquaman. Not all of them were terrible (I was enjoying Swamp Thing and All-Star Western), but nothing was happening. It just kept going on and on and on that I've decided I will pretty much just stick with graphic novels from now on. Honestly, I don't even know why I am still getting Aquaman, but it is probably because it is by far the best of the entire New 52.

Tiberius 08-17-2012 07:31 PM

Aquaman, Swamp Thing, Earth 2 and Animal Man are my personal favorites.

Even though the Hulk is winning in a DC forum, I'm appreciatin' this photo. :)

kenm2474 08-17-2012 07:55 PM

I am looking to buy a good figure. Metron, either Parademons, Mantis, Steppenwolf, Desaad, SDCC ML XForce set, BAF Apocalypse, BAF Giantman, Antman, Wave 3 ML Punisher, Blade. I know this is the DC Thread but I also know a lot deal in both ends here. LMK. Thanx.

Tiberius 08-17-2012 07:57 PM

Oh god...if you get a Giant Man before me I will cry. I'd say go with Parademons, Mantis, Steppin to add to your New Gods Squad.

DogFashionDisco 08-17-2012 07:58 PM

I saw Steppenwolf not too long ago, if you want, I can look into it. What version do you like?
