I've already preordered to be sure I get it but I wonder how plentiful in retail the X-Men vintage wave will be. I saw a few of most of the wave 1, but I don't think I ever saw a single figure from wave 2 at retail, could be wrong but if I am it was minimal sightings at best.

Sometimes I wonder...with the backup of figures a year or more old at stores, how hasbro is able to justify putting out so much product, but I'm not complaining as we've gotten so much great stuff the last few years> it's just a thought because there is so much stuff I have not seen or seen just a handful of times at brick and mortar stores.

Does Iron Man have extra hands or are those spider-mans? Having Permanent Blaster on IM Arms is kinda upsetting.

Awesome he looks real good. Hands are Perfect. I am going to do this just need to get another Kingpin as I am going to do the Hands and paint the neck area too. And add a little darkness to his outfit to differentiate him from Kingpin.

I buckled. Went with both Figuarts. My wallet might be still crying, but my happiness levels are currently high.

The hands look to be Iron Man's. If you look closely, you can see the unpainted repulsor in the palm of the one hand.

So do you think that the Arm Blasters slip off to reveal normal arms to attach the hands too?

I think so. If you look at the out of box pic, you can see that Iron Man has his repulsor blast hands attached while wearing the arm blasters and it looks like there is some space around the hands, like it's not one solid piece. The fists in question are also near Iron Man in the pic.

I just looked up the Toy Fair pics of the Mark 50. You can see a lot more space around the hands and it looks like the arm blasters snap together.

Some of the 80th Anniversary figures have started to hit Canada. Looks like Iron Man didn't get that metallic red paint job after all.

Yknow, I think I'm okay without the metallic job. It would've been snazzy but it might have looked out of place with the other armors we've gotten so far, and I rather like the paintjob we got :)

If this is as we have described then this is a Total Win from Hasbro and a defiant purchase.

OMG Canada! You guys got all the 80th stuff first! Too bad Kawhi is gonna leave probably though... still, getting the Colossus 2 pack first is a good consolation prize IMO. That Thor looks pretty cool too.

Finally got my HydroMan in... I'm not crazy about him having legs (Being a difficult fan here- HydroMan should have had a water base- cannonball should have legs with a blasting effect- lol) Popped him apart and pegged him onto the old HydtoMan base- threw some paint on it to better match the water arms... done!

Of course now that I’ve opened mine, Hasbro will undoubtedly release an upgraded version with energy effects & an unhelmeted head in a two-pack.

I'm torn with Kingpin. Do I place him on my shelf of Spidey villains or my shelf with generic Marvel villains given that he's also a Major Daredevil villain?

Also, what do you guys mean Iron Man doesn't have metallic red? It looks metallic to me from those pics.

It is.

On the actual figure, the red looks like it is bare plastic (possibly the swirly/pearlescent kind). However, the Hasbro reps at NYTF were asked if the final product would have the metallic looking paint job like the Iron Man figure on display and they said yes (which it doesn't). Maybe someone misspoke or something changed. Either way, the change in red doesn't diminish my excitement for this figure.

Hopefully the rest of the 80th Anniversary figures will go up for preorder soon.
