Yes, they're the same body mold. My Hulk 2 pack came in the mail yesterday and I've watched a couple of reviews since then to see if there were any differences. Aside from the head and coloration, they're the same.

While I like the look of the 2 pack version, it'd be nice if Hasbro released the SDCC version at retail in a normal Marvel Legends box. The same way the Star Wars Celebration exclusives were released on vintage cards but the figures later received a regular retail release in normal Black Series packaging.

Thanks.

Sure, so do I, but it doesn't prevent me from understanding that sites like this and TheFwoosh are digital shrines to consumerism...and that we are their collection (ha) of unhealthy hoarders (imo). I'm starting to understand the many people I've seen here bow out of collecting over the years. People I'd never think would stop... people I never thought would stop...RIP

Lol...go back a few pages. This thread usually breaks news before the main page. You'll see as you spend more time here (Or you already see; my fluency in 'sarcasm' ebbs and flows ;)). However, to be fair to them, Tony and Joe are pretty much a two man outfit and they do a pretty damn good job.

Welcome to the Ark...

Looks like you found your reason to keep both, they are slighty different...

maczero 07-18-2019 05:24 AM

Found Thor at Target yesterday and he looked damn good! Definitely one of the best comic MLs I've seen. I can see why Hasbro thinks they can get away with charging a little more for this guy.

I am a hoarding consumerist with some monthly disposable income...I don't need a reason.

i disagree, in fact I believe for me personally.. my hobby adds to the standard of mental health(reduced stress), comfort, and happiness I experience in my life.
By more than a little....

Quick question. I apologize if this is already been answered. Does anyone know when the marvel legends panel is taking place at San Diego comic con? Also, for the hell of it, does anybody know when the transformers toy panel is happening?

For the Marvel Legends one I read it was 430 PST on Friday - interesting changeup from a Saturday, not sure if they've done that before.

I don't recall when the TF one is.

Boy Blunder 07-18-2019 08:11 AM

Picked up Julia Carpenter and the new War Machine last night. Passed on Rock Python and Loki - their paint was pretty crap.

Lebawski Thor BAF

Welcome to the Ark...

HA! I did end up going back and seeing the previous Jean Grey post before my last comment. It just seems as if Marvel Legends are one of--if not the most--widely collected figures out there, and I figured(see what I did there?) this would be front page news for a highly anticipated figure.
I've been visiting the website regularly for a little over a year now but just don't take time comment often.

Veronica Mars 07-18-2019 08:32 AM

Looks like the wave will have an mcu Cap and an armored mcu Valkyrie

Saddest part for me is seeing collectors that say "well I hate this character" or "this is a shitty figure" but then say they HAVE to buy it anyway because they're completionists. That right there is what's wrong with collecting these days :P

Veronica Mars 07-18-2019 08:37 AM

I love when they do completely MCU waves, it saves me so much money

could you provide the upc # so i can check brickseek, thank you

SymbiSpidey 07-18-2019 08:50 AM

Looks like the wave is:

Avengers 1 Captain America
White Armor Valkyrie
Heimdall from Thor Ragnarok
Iron Patriot (basically the War Machine we already got but in red, white and blue)
Mark 85 Iron-Man
Vision (looks like the white/grey version from when Thanos kills him)

Big Lebowski Thor as the BAF. Definitely want Iron-Man, Valkyrie and Heimdall. Maybe want Cap. I can definitely pass on the other two. But Big Lebowski Thor is too hilarious to pass up.

I'm actually glad they're not doing a new Hawkeye and Black Widow because it's easy enough to kitbash Endgame versions of those characters.

Same though I do try to have at least one figure of each MCU character, two if the looks are different enough. I can pass on almost all of this wave, Heimdall and Vision are pick ups for me, only because I never got that Scarlet Witch and Vision 2 pack. On the other hand, if I miss them, I'm not going to worry about it that much.

Unfortunately I’m the exact opposite ha. So my wallet is crying right now.

Veronica Mars 07-18-2019 08:52 AM

For me, they're off to a pretty disappointing start

I can see why you may feel that way. But I think the rumor was the third wave was going to be all MCU, so really, it's kind of what I was expecting. Even not having seen the movie yet, I know enough spoilers that it doesn't matter at this point anyways lol, so I still had expectations.

Dr Kain 07-18-2019 08:55 AM

The fat Thor wave is as lazy as Thor himself.

What's lazy about it? Seems like all but two figures are brand new sculpts...
