Ah, Japan... have you ever had a "Bad" Idea?

So I had intended to pick up a couple Professor X's for some GI Joe customs, but somehow I missed that wave making it to retail. I see loose ones on eBay have flattened to about $13-$15 loose, but I was wondering if anyone knows if that wave is still shipping to retailers at all or is MU like 3 waves past that now?

Im in southern California and so far the latest wave here has been the Mysterio Wave but I missed it and it only came in once at ToysRUs and a Target.
The Professor X wave showed up I think once or twice in my local disney store and One of the Targets here a long time ago. This is just my area tho.

quinten182 09-03-2013 12:30 PM

I've seen the Mysterio/Elektra wave three times now. Every single figure in the case was there except.. Mysterio and Elektra. All three stores had Rhino, Nova, Thanos, Dark Hawkeye, new Cap, etc. But none of the three had those 2. Interesting really.. almost like they aren't showing up with them! Especially since the one I found today was freshly stocked about 10 minutes prior.

Could be that someone in the stock room is stashing them prior to putting them out unfortunately.

thats what I was thinking of

JamesBenjamin 09-03-2013 02:56 PM

So that means I did miss the Professor X wave then? Ah well, but I guess $12 to $15 on eBay isn't that terrble

Goldengreg 09-04-2013 12:11 AM

When I was in Miami last April, Disney stores were stuffed with ProfX and Jubilee figs, you could try there maybe?

Not here nah.. at least not at two of these stores. I've found my gem ghetto targets where nothing is touched for many days after stocking. They've stocked so many things for me without a care.. it's great.. it's like it should be. An autographed NFL series figure.. the UFC Kimbo Slice variant.. all kinds of stuff that'd never see the light at any other store. So I'm just confused as to why they didn't make it.

Moptop1 09-04-2013 10:48 AM

So Cal is the worse for MU, they'll get them first but disappear fast cause of all the scalper's out there...I was only able to see the Prof X wave cause I actually went to the Target when they opened the doors during opening, usually I go during the evening and the pegs are usually empty.

Word is they are equally packed in the same case.

decepticon_mark 09-04-2013 02:36 PM

Don't think so. New wave is up on ebay from past generation toys. Picked up Abomination Cloak and I'M. They said their cases had no Daggers or Abombs.

quinten182 09-04-2013 04:38 PM

Elektra and Mysterio arrived from HTS today!

Exactly, I cant even imagine how I use to get the toys I wanted when I was a kid cuz like I would only go to stores after my parents got outta work n stuff. Now that I'm older it should be easier but it's not. I have to be at the store right when the doors open to make sure I can find just the ones I like. A lot of the time if I get to the store 10 minutes after opening figures that are like one per case or just super hyped like Prof. X are gone. I'd like to buy cases but I dunno, Im really picky about the figures I get. Paintjobs on faces and eyes, and whatnot. Somethings are unavoidable tho, my Punisher has 2 left feet. lol

Got a Quicksilver like that...makes things hard when your power is super speed!

Marvel Universe new wave (Cloak) at Impulse Creations

New wave(Cloak, Abomination etc) of MU at Impulse Creations,All there except Dagger, 12.99@

Picked up Wave 1 of the Avengers Assemble figures at Wal-mart (though I gave Widow to a friend) and I have to say that despite some missing articulation in the wrists (and ankles in the case of Iron Man and Red Skull) all are pretty solid and excellent figures.

Hulk is my easy favorite as if he had wrists and a more expressive face we'd never need another 4" Hulk figure ever again.

Interesting Bio information on BBTS.

"Ghost Rider: Ghost Rider is outfitted with chains and spike-laden armor, with translucent blue flame radiating from the head and shoulders. Wandering into a junkyard Daniel Ketch discovers a motorcycle bearing a sigil which transformed him into a new incarnation of Ghost Rider. He later learns that he and the previous Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze, are in fact brothers and inheritors of a mystical curse which linked them to the Spirits of Vengeance. Wielding mystic flame and a magic-infused chain, Ghost Rider possesses superhuman strength and durability, and inflicts his prey with his Penance Stare."

Perhaps we are getting a Danny Ketch blue flame repaint?

Marvel Universe 3.75" 2013 Series 03 - Case of 12 - Marvel Figures (Hasbro) Marvel Universe 3.75"

ps. The Iron Man bio reads a bit strange so perhaps not. Does BBTS write their own bios to describe the product?

That is a good catch! I hope that's true. I'm thinking we're also going to get a series 5 X-force Warpath based on some figures that happyeverydaysales has listed on eBay and its numbering scheme with the other figures. I'd post a link, but I'm on my cell phone at work and that would take forever.

The new paint apps looks good at least! I'm digging the black suit and metallic blue on the belt.

I'm okay with that. I didn't like it when they made Ketch the blue flame Ghost Rider.
