Wow, these last few pages have been filled with stunning, super-cool shots. Great job guys!!:thumbs
|
Yeah, everything posted has been an absolute joy to look at!
Monte, your pics feel like paintings. Nice job. I love to zoom in on the images! lol That sand is so clean...it's weird to see that kind of rock and fine sand/silt. Are your pics taken near a river? That's a phenomenal natural environment you have access to there. |
Thanks so much, Blue! It's high up on a canyon rim overlooking a river. Since it's under a bridge it's almost always shady.

I'm not happy with Spectre in that shot. Just seems he should glow more.
CCC. |
No? Well, I like the partially shadowed face contrasted against the illuminated (eldritch green highlighting) rib-cage/underarms and cape/legs. I was happy that I was able to capture the details of his face (i.e. cheek bones, lips, etc) with no flash and dim conditions. The glow of his eyes was more important to me in those shots, so I opted for no "night" filter. Low light photos are pretty tricky, but I'll consistently get the results I want with practice. Thank you for the comment.

I wouldn't know the first thing to suggest to light him up more; indoor lighting is witchcraft to me.
|
Well, I used a number of lighting techniques and a black light to take advantage of the glow-in-the-dark variant figure. Direct illumination of Spectre, and/or the use of a "night" filter changes the feel of the images significantly. Strange is meant as the focus; Spectre was featured more-so in the other pics...

Great job with Hellboy. With a light like this, it looks awesome

Awesome posing as always, Blue!

Thanks Monte! Sometimes you have to work to tease out a fig's 'expression.' I know that sounds corny, but I'm pretty sure you can appreciate what I mean.
|
I definitely do. :)
