The word is Scalp but yeah, They're always scalping shit left and right. It's getting tiresome.

I wonder if they will just show a bunch of 6" scale director's chairs.

Thatannoyingguy 04-01-2025 02:06 PM

Well, what does everyone think about Maximum Hulk?

Absolutely hideous. 3 different heads, and the best of them still looks awful. There's one sculptor, Paul Harding, who has done some of the worst recent Marvel Legends head sculpts (Including the hideous ML 20th. Anniversary Hulk)- I wonder if he sculpted these? The Marvel Anniversary 2-pack one is still the best Hulk figure ever made- a shame that there have been two green Hulks in a row that just missed the mark completely. I will say, I like the accessories with the Maximum Hulk, but I'm not going to pay MSRP just to get those accessories.

WallySparks 04-01-2025 02:40 PM

I think the head sculpts look just fine. the three Hasbro guys were jibber jabbering away about the heads being based on artwork from the original comic artists from back in the day or whatever. weird for them to include the slicked back hairdo which I presume is the 1990s smart Hulk head? last time I checked, Smart Hulk in the mid 1990s had a black tank top shirt and pants and boots

I like the figure and think the sculpt looks great, but that price is ridiculous

Dolemite 04-01-2025 05:14 PM

I agree, $60 is insane. Hard pass.

redfox 04-01-2025 06:10 PM

Really glad to see both Mystique & Madame Masque getting updated figures.

Nominating classic Valkyrie & Hela for the next round of updates.

The heads don't bother me as much, but I wish there would just be one headsculpt that was a seething non open mouth one.

What bugs me is whatever that Storm Collectibles wannabe rubbery material is. Listen, ML team, I know y'all trying your hand at Hyperreal 2.0 with a skeleton under whatever that is, but it just wrecks the cuts. The butterfly forward is great, but it sacrifices a rear butterfly from the way it looks. The underside of the abs to the upper torso look almost Yamaguchi levels of gappiness.

Maybe I am nitpicking, but someone on another social stated it very well. Jada is dog walking the competition while everyone else is still trying to play the 'we're making it more premium' game.

Darth Revan 04-01-2025 09:26 PM

I hope the Maximum Hulk is $100.

Darth Revan 04-01-2025 09:29 PM

Target Exclusive is the Seal of Death, Only scalpers and people willing to pay too much will get those figures.

StudioOneTwelve 04-01-2025 10:16 PM

The static waist and ball upper torso Hasbro does with most of the MCU stuff is such a killer. I used to work in toys, there are easy ways they could reimagine their approach and give us ball waist and upper torso plus butterflies on every single figure. Hell McFarlane has been doing it for $5 less for years now. There is a real and true desire on their end to deliver something that leaves you hoping for a better version later and I'm getting tired of it.

Jada is at the top. I like this hulk a lot still.

Black suit movie Spiderman is $38 on ET, $35 on BBTS, and $30 on Amazon. If that is due to tariffs and these are the new prices for basic Marvel Legends then I am probably going to start transitioning out of collecting those, especially when the quality is not at that price level.

I guess a complaint can be made about the mask being inaccurate since it is the No Way Home mask, but I really don't have a problem with that since it is a pretty minor difference. It's more a complaint that this is the third use that they have gotten out of this sculpt and the price keeps increasing.

I'll wait for the Mezco Hulk. Hopefully that will be an all new sculpt with more classic heads and better accessories.

I think Hasbro is incrementally increasing the price to see what they can get away with. Eventually, they'll hit a point where even the shills won't justify it. I like Marvel but not enough to be in denial about getting financially hosed. It's probably cheaper to collect guns.

Apparently black suit is a Deluxe figure hence the 30 dollar price that’s what I am hearing

I saw that. ‘Deluxe’…..ok.

A tease for the Fantastic Four figures.

I agree with those stating Hulk's head sculpts are terrible. It seems the best was the 2 pack woth 1st costume Wolverine, they haven't even done similarly well with the green Hulk since, & these are especially bad. I would be nervous that the new unecessary way they're doing his shoulders will wear out & his arms won't stay up. Surprised they're not asking for more money, seeing how much of a difference Spidey was. & who needs toe articulation on Hulk? But they keep being stingy with Spider-Man figures, even recent 1s like the black suit Secret Wars, & Spider-Man is the 1 that most needs toe articulation.
I've said it, & others are saying it here: Hasbro seems to love doing bare minimum improvements over time so they can sell a new version every years without fully satisfying their customers. You might as well not give buy this model, wait a few months to get 1 that hits the mark better.

JPs 04-08-2025 04:49 PM

Those FF look weird. Probably for a movie with that odd texture. I have doubts especially now that their 3rd/4th attempt at FF will be any good. Unless the figures have a better Invisible Woman (not likely, despite not being a high bar) the figures will probably not sell.

Juggernaut44 04-08-2025 05:46 PM

Very curious to what the Juggernaut teaser is?
