so it sounds like everyone is not liking thw whole subscription wave lol , its gives me chance to get some of the hard to find ones...
I'm hoping that larfleeze is 6 in only lol |
If most these turn out to be subscription figures then I am sooooo glad I didn't subscribe. Although I must ask why do they still not have poison Ivy up.
|
It may be just a NYCC exclusive figure.

Odd that all the Targets I've been to this week all have the Deputy Lantern wave out on the pegs. It's so weird to see. Passing since I didn't care for any deputy Lanterns. Plus White/Black Lantern Hal just isn't that appealing for some reason.

I'm really looking forward to the upcoming TRU battle damaged Batman/red Azrael 2 pack. I will finally be able to get a chance to handle that mold, I haven't opened the reg. Azbats yet, took me long enough to find the bastard lol. He does look great on the card I suppose, I keep telling myself that to stifle the urge to free him:)
And the Batman looks cool too lol. |

Is that Penguin a chase figure?! I only ask because I've been seeing J'onn & Supes a bit lately and I know those are chase figs since no collect & connect part.

Yeah, I've got more questions from this than answers:
1) Is that Larfleeze as tall as it looks? Looks as big as Nekron in one of the photos, maybe bigger. 2) How do you get Larfleeze? 3) How do you get Super Powers Penguin? 4) There's some box of something you can see in the lower right corner of the Larfleeze picture. . .what is it? It looks kinda like a JLU boxset with Gypsy and Dr. Midnight, but I can't tell -- it's in the background and out of focus. 5) Is the wave 20 Sinestro height-corrected/which mold is it using? 6) If these are the subscription figures, why are they such bad choices? |
Quote:
2) no idea 3) no idea 4) I believe it is a JLU set and also I spotted the crime syndicate pack 5) not sure whos body they use but it does look like corrected height 6) not sure if they are or arent. But if they are its becouse Mattel hates us. |

So far the sub wave looks cool but when will we see Posion Ivy , is it that to much to ask . man
Im so going to get that 2 pack of batman vs Azbats . keeping that one in the case for time being lol .. I belive the Super Powers Penguin would be a Legacy Edition Batman wav just like that golden age batman. ( Kmart Exclusive ) which I cant find no ware. UGH |
So far I am underwhelmed by the Sub, another reason why I didn't sign up. I think it is unfair and extremely EVIL taking peoples money saying "trust us". Scammers do that to old people.

Another member posted an article stating larfleeze will be in the new retail line which suggests that so will penguin. Especually seeing as Penguin was in wave 1 of DCUC.

So we KNOW --Penguin and Larfleeze DID NOT have the Club Infinite Earths logo on their placeholders. Likely does mean they will be the new retail line. --The retail Toys R Us two-packs -- Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, Batman, and (Azrael) Batman -- all very recognizable characters. So maybe what they are doing is rebranding again. Cutting out the Collect 'n Connect (but I bet they won't lower the price) and offering re-dos of mainstream characters. We know it'll have the new DCnU costumes. Maybe they'll just stick to figures "everyone" knows, like Penguin (and I bet/I hope we get one that looks more like the one DC Direct showed off at NYCC), Lois Lane, Jimmy Olson, maybe a Nightwing in his blue and yellow costume, JLU-style Aquaman (fish-hook hand), President Lex Luthor, and every simple repaint they can do for Blackest Night/Brightest Day and Flashpoint, etc. They'll just shy away from the obscure stuff they went into, like the Doom Patrol and Metal Men -- they'll be in the subscription. That means the subscription figures were chosen as follows: Jay Garrick -- maybe they figure everyone nowadays considers Wally West to be the Flash (and I bet we'll get one in the new retail line) -- put in the subscription as "not mass marketable" Atrocitus -- too scary for soccer moms to buy at retail stores. Doesn't give a positive image to the product line. But collectors really want him. Starman -- so completists that plop down the $180 for the LOSH set can get an even better complete set; again not mass-marketable. I mean, even here among toy geeks -- I mean experts -- a lot of us didn't seem to know anything about this guy. Poison Ivy -- bait. I don't remember her originally mentioned as a subscription figure. There were rumors she'd be in the sub. But after the sub failed the first time they officially added her. I'd bet she was going to be in the retail line. . . Metron -- fan's choice of course And the sub will be team-completers -- I'll guess The Chief, Elasti-Girl, Bumblebee, at least one more of the Metal Men, Rag Doll, etc. That's all speculation of course. . . But man if it goes that way. . .I'll really regret getting the sub (except for Jay Garrick and Poison Ivy) and I'll have to rethink what I was looking forward to. . .being able to save money by not having to buy DC figures! |

I was the one who posted the link to Actionfigurepics.com. In that article, Mattel's ToyGuru confirms that Larfleeze in part of the new retail line. It sounds as if they still haven't quite figured out where to place Penguin, so for now it's just speculation that he'll be a part of that new line.
