@captain Nash
You would imagine Salma Hayek would play the curvy Sersi. I though Angelina would play the female deviant. Ereshkigal? Something like that. The characters I remember offhand are Sersi, Ikkaris, Makkari, Zuras, Thena, Sprite, Gilgamesh, Druig and Ajak. Oh and Kingo Sunen. From the deviants, Kroo, Karkas, and that Ereshkigal lady. I wonder if the tone of the movie will be god-like serious, or Ragnarok type. I am guessing it will follow the plot of the Neil Gaiman series, as that was quite cinematic, and mysterious. We shall see. |

Is Sersi the lady in pink that joined up with Exaclibur in the 90s? |

I feel stupid ha, because am I the only one that doesn’t no anything about the eternals? like never ever read a comic with them in it. So I’m probably gonna have to look them up before I see the movie.

We all know how obscure the Guardians of the Galaxy were before they got a movie. Even among my circle of comic friends I was the only one who read GotG or really any of DnA's cosmic run. Now it's odd not to know about the Guardians. So we'll see what they do with the Eternals. |

Famed actor Rutger Hauer, most know for playing android replicant Roy Batty, has died at the age of 75.

And Thanks fellas. Glad to see I’m not the only one not knowing much to nothing about the Eternals. I knew a bit about GOTG before the film but basically like a Casual knowledge I’m still probably gonna wanna do some reading or research so I’m not completely lost haha. @En Sabah Nerd yea I was kinda the same way, I’ve read way more New Gods comics and I absolutely love them especially Jack Kirby’s era. They were one of the things that got me into Dc comics(who I was a fan of before I even read marvel comics). The new Gods and Flash were really what got me into comics in general. |
RIP Rutger Hauer! If you ever get a chance to look at some of his deeper cuts, the movie Split Second is pretty awesome, though definitely a product of its time (1992).
In toy news over the last 24 hours got shipping notices from DS for Hela/Execution, Colossus/Juggernaut, and today, the Wendigo wave. Definitely a great feeling knowing more X-Men product is coming! And usually there's a lull of figures coming up past August, but including multiples of a few figures I've still got 15 figures left for the year!! side note, if anyone happens to have the new Emma Frost and Hela set, can someone tell me if the Hela head will fit on the Emma body? |

GameStop has been good to me lately. Picked up Sinister (they also had Wolverine), Dazzler and Cyclops yesterday. Hoping a Storm, Nightcrawler or Boom Boom pop up today but if not I’m going to settle for Vintage Iceman.

I do like the design of Sersi on that Gaiman cover though. Quote:

Thanos' Father was an Eternal if they choose to follow the comic book history. Salma Hayek should play Sersi. She is the only actress Hot enough.

My favorite Rutger Hauer stuff was from his time doing films for HBO. I loved "Wedlock" and "Fatherland." Really showed off his range as an actor. "Hobo With A Shotgun" was pretty damn epic as well and is a guilty pleasure of mine. RIP Mr. Hauer and Godspeed. In less depressing news, I've made it no secret that I hated the headsculpt on the recent Legends Beast, and after seeing this re-sculpted one featured on a recent Fwoosh YouTube vid, I had to get my hands on it. Just need to cook up a pair of glasses now. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...7c8ab2_k_d.jpg It would have been nice if Hasbro had given us this in the first place, but I'm much, much happier with the figure now, as in hand, the paintwork and craftsmanship on the re-sculpted parts is pretty incredible. |
