Has anybody on Funko forums asked about the whole rights thing? I thought they could only do these figures through the subscription box...

Perhaps these figures were originally MEANT for the subscription box, but proved popular enough for Funko to work out a deal for the retail side of things?

I have one and personally Im just not happy with it. It's pretty sure, but I just never liked it as Ollie mostly got him for death stroke and the bow

I'll start digging him out

The Injustice Figures go nicely with the Infinite Heroes ones... very nicely. Additionally, some of the Green Lantern figures are still available on BBTS...
NYCC 2013 Hal Jordan & Saint Walker 3.75" Two Pack Exclusive - Green Lantern Action Figures
SDCC 2013 3.75" Green Lantern 4 Pack - Green Lantern Action Figures

Sadly, the set with Kilowog is very pricey.

Most of the Injustice figures are still available and/or on clearance

All of these figures use a neck peg very similar to the HACKS one. It is pretty simple to pop off the head and not impossible to put a better-looking IH head in its place.Very pleased with my results on Guy Gardner. I'm looking for a suitable Aquaman head.

Aside from that Doomsday is pretty awesome. Harley Quinn is great. Cyborg is much better than the IH version, as is Raven.

Final thought about Infinite Heroes... Spectre, Wild Cat and Dr. Fate can all be customized using Boss Fight bodies with relatively little effort (getting the heads onto the BF pegs takes some patience and a lot of hot water). Lex Luthor also looks like a pretty easy kit bash, as long as you're willing to buy a couple HACKS so you can swap out color parts. They still look small compared to MU figures, but they look awesome compared to the IH versions. They even scale pretty well with the better IH figures.

Also, The Question's head can be made to fit on a MU Professor X body. He scales very well with the Multiverse/MU figures (also easy to turn into Rorschach).

Finally, the IH versions of Deadshot, the articulated version is pretty great.

Thanks for the tip on the Injustice stuff on BBTS. I'm gonna jump on some of them.

EDIT: They've got the Atrcious pack for $24.99. It's usually double that on eBay from what I've seen.

EDIT #2: Just jumped on the Doomsday pack. Thanks a bunch for sharing this, dude. I got a really good deal on the pack.

Yeah, the Atrocious pack isn't a great deal on Ebay. They had the Guy Gardner one on sale last week for $9.99, but that seems to be gone.

The Funko figures are meant to be representative of the current movie(and hopefully TV)incarnations, and as we only have one line from that current slate of movies, and even those doesn't scale too badly with the new line, I'm willing to accept it.

You see, in my experience this scale is kinda inconsistent across the board. I have a Star Wars figure that's shorter than a Doctor Who figure, whereas nowadays they make the new molds more along the taller MU scale. As long as the scale is consistent in the line otherwise, I don't mind. Better to collect and possibly give yourself a pleasurable experience than to split hairs about a small thing like that.

redx24 09-23-2016 03:14 PM

Anybody have a spare maskless Ryan Reynolds green lantern movie head?
Just need the head.

I know right. I actually like some variance in the heights as it makes it more realistic IMO. Not everyone on earth is exactly 6 feet tall or whatever.

I wish those funko figures had ball jointed shoulders instead of just swivels.

Amen on those shoulders, man. Wrists and bicep swivels would be pretty practical additions, too, with MAYBE a waist twist added for good effect. I consider the arms to be a key point in basic posing, since they'll probably be used the most in any pose you can think of, so the basic formula you'd get from a pre-2015 MU is what I like from my figures(again, not a deal breaker, just a preference). The waist twist is optional, as whilst it CAN help with dynamic poses, I CAN work without it.

The swivel shoulders are the only thing that bother me. Anything else I can live without.

Yeah hopefully funko can figure out way to add ball joint shoulders lol it is 2016. They did a good job on those mortal kombat figures.

I agree, but it always seems to go in the wrong direction, like a 7' tall cat woman and a 4' 9" superman. I wish more companies put more thought into scale. Even a well thought out line like MU has a few wildly out of scale flukes.

Good point, but nothing that some dynamic posing can't usually fix.

Also looking at that upcoming DC icons swamp thing (6" scale) makes me want to get a green boss fight blank for a 4" swamp thing.

MK figures? The ones by Mezco?

slim19722 09-25-2016 02:47 AM

Easy Deadshot. Bossfight head, everything else from Marauders.

Yep. My mistake sorry. For some reason I had Mezco and funko confused. :o

Okay, general question here: Can you swap swivel shoulders with hinged ones with some modification?

Because if my hopes pay off and we DO get CW figures from the new Funko line, Green Arrow would likely need a swap to properly use his bow. Now, I'm PRETTY sure that the pegs would be similar, but you'd obviously need to factor in that hinge and give it room to fit. Can anybody give me some ideas on how one might go about such a mod, if it's even possible?

Unlikely. A hinge is flat with a hole where a swivel requires a ball socket. The plastic is usually too thin to try and grind one out.

CCC.
