I just need Hasbro to do a Classic Dr. Strange then we can go from there. I don't really like any of current Strange figures we have. I'm hoping we don't have to wait for the movie to get a good classic Strange.

Whooof, the X-Force wave arrived to me today. Thus ends the deluge of goodness for a good while, which isn't such a bad thing. Between whole waves, multipacks and partial waves I think I got 18 figures at the least (maybe more if I'm forgetting any) over the month. That is a lot. And the funny thing is it didn't feel like it let up any during the first part of the year, at least after March. I guess while I was sick it did but stuff was still coming in even though I wasn't paying much attention beyond the X-wave.
So all that's left for the next couple of months is Emma and Thor for me and Dani if she hits early. Still, 18 over one month vs. 5 over 2-3 months is a huge difference. |

2) I’m figuring at least one of those will happen next year. Doctor Strange will probably come out in 2021 for his new movie. Storm will be eventual, since they always need one or two headliners in an X-Men wave. Adam Warlock is least likely, but is one of my very favorite Marvel characters, so he’s on the list. Longshot feels certain with the current pattern of X-Men releases (he’d be great with the new Dazzler). Falcon is in the same boat as Strange, where I figure he’ll be released next year as a ttie-in for his TV show. Tigra seems realistic for a future Avengers or retro wave, on account of the amount of seeming fan demand I’ve heard. As for Doc Ock and Electro, why don’t they just give us a Sinister Six boxset? 3) I’m not fond of build-a-figures, but I see them as necessary to get out figures of larger characters. Sure, we’d get a Thanos or Apocalypse regardless, but Sasquatch? Probably not. Although, it is a pain when one or two figures become rare, and the build-a-figure is essentially impossible to complete. Don’t get me started about Cyclops, or worse yet, Rogue. 4) There’s a reason Hasbro splurged for a new mold on the 80th Anniversary Hulk. They can make variants of him until the sun goes cold (or Galactus devours us, or the Mangog triggers Ragnarok). And I’ll buy all of them. |

Dunno if there's any interest, but I've got these available if anyone wants. Just make an offer. Nothing reasonable will be refused - I want these out of my home! All are available until Sat 8/3 then they are getting dumped at one of the local comic stores for whatever they'll give me.
Oh yeah, I do have the figure accessories (no sentinel bases though), I just wasn't pulling them out and dumping them on the floor. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...2555a730_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...a9da9551_b.jpg |

My Peggy Carter/Cap two pack shipped today, despite Amazon saying it would ship on the 2nd of August, and it should be arriving tomorrow. Pretty excited for this one... |

Retail pick-ups for the day. First time seeing the 80th Anniversary sets in my area. Ghost and Hela looked great, but I had to leave the MCU ones behind for now. Snagged the last Juggy/Colossus set. No sign of the single, comic Iron Man & Thor figures, yet.

I wouldn't mind a base uniform body for the men and women of Ultimate X-men as well. |

@ Ultra Seven: I don't want a Sinister Six boxed set, at least not as the only way to get a classic Electro or a non Build-A-Figure Sandman. My wallet already hates me enough as it is whenever I try to get a single figure, let alone a two-pack or boxed set. Besides, like the Hulk, it'd be nice to get a figure that isn't part of a set or exclusive.
As for Cyclops and Rogue, Cyclops was impossible for me to find. I actually have a Rogue that's Mint-In-Box with a factory error where she's missing her jacket on the body. I tried selling it on my sister's Ebay, but nobody wanted it. I also love your idea about a 90s team uniform set for characters like Jubilee, Storm and Gambit. @ Trivial Psychic: I'd love a Gray Hulk with alternate heads too. I'd include the Jack Kirby head version, a Todd McFarlane head version and an Ultimates head version. I'd even settle for a Mr. Fix-It Gray Hulk. @ Dr Kain: Congratulations on the Colossus and Juggernaut two-pack! |
@StuartGreen2019 I completely agree on the box sets. I can barely manage getting all the ML two packs. If they started making 4,5,or 6 packs I couldnt/Wouldnt it would be too much. But It’d be even worse if that was the only way to get Electro(who is insanely overdue).
I am gonna draw the line at 3-packs. Because $70 plus on a set is my limit haha. |

IDK... looking at the above pic... Colossus's legs look a tad bit too short IMO.

@En Sabah Nerd: I don't think that Hasbro is a "deal with it" kind of company. They have said in recent interviews that they are listening to the fans, that they're reading our comments and they want us to be as specific as possible when it comes to what we, the fans, want. I'm sure if enough fans asked for a classic Electro and if he pops up in enough Top 10 lists, they might make a new figure for him in a 2020 wave of Spider-Man figures.
If Hasbro wants fans to be "as specific as possible" with what we want, I say a classic Electro needs an alternate Max Dillon head and a set of alternate gloved hands that are normal, or maybe include snap-on electric blasts this time for his hands. The previous Electro figure's hands only gave us the electric blasts hands, the head sculpt looked off and the "lightning bolt" design on his mask looked way too big. I hope that gets fixed with a new classic Electro figure. We also need classic Shocker figure, a classic Boomerang figure, a new Hobgoblin (maybe with Ned Leeds, Jason Macendale and Roderick Kingsley alternate heads), and, for "Superior Foes of Spider-Man" fans, a long overdue Overdrive figure. Carrion, Demogoblin and Shriek are also needed for "Maximum Carnage" fans. EDIT: As a quick add to that, if Hasbro does make a classic Electro, if they don't release him for a Spider-Man assortment, they could always release him for a retro/vintage "Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars" wave. It'd be a great way to release new figures for characters like Captain Marvel II, Kang, Molecule Man, Klaw, Absorbing Man, Rogue and Falcon, and re-release old characters either repainted, re-sculpted and/or with new accessories, like Cyclops, Daredevil, Captain America, the Lizard, Mr. Fantastic, the Thing and Doc Ock (still keeping my fingers crossed for bendy wire tentacles). That way, we get a new vintage/retro wave and new figures out of it. |
I haven't had time to take any pictures of Colossus and Juggernaut yet, but I got to say this Juggernaut puts the BAF one to shame.
Not only are the colors accurate to the comics, but the extra hands give him a new range of poses you can do with him, the beat up head is beautifully sculpted and painted, the damaged helmet piece looks great, and the new helmet they gave him looks more comic accurate. Sure, it doesn't have the indentation detail like the BAF one had, but like I said, it's wider, more oval, and longer. Colossus is just perfection all around. Oh, this is interesting though, despite using the same arms as the modern day Colossus, the hands are not interchangeable because the pegs are different. The paint job on both figures is pretty imaculate. The only nitpick is Colosus could have used another coat of yellow on the sides of his neck area on the back. Now I just need to get Nightcrawler so I can have half of my favorite X team. |
^ The old Juggernaut has a belt at least though. LOL. I distinctly remember feeling sick that I paid full price... actually more for a pegwarming Havok at my Target way late in the game just to finish off my Juggernaut. Ugh.

Hasbro actually has been great lately at serving fans, the entire 80th anniversary line feels like feedback and recognition to consumer devotion. As it stands regarding Electro; I seem to remember that back at Toyfair or around then it was said there was interest in doing a Spider-Man specific retro wave, that would be a prime place to slip in a classic Electro. For me the big Spider-Man redo that I really want to see is Rhino, I came nowhere close to finishing the BAF and totally missed the boat on the Select one. Of my classic spider-villain favorites he is the one missing from my legends collection. |
