With all the X-Force chatter I sure don't hear much about wee lass Siryn! She was part of the team from issue #3 forward- I think we need to see her and Black Tom in a 3pk with Banshee...

What all did you do to make that Siryn? Rogue and May Jane head right? |
Scored Thor and the Iron Team 2-pack from Target just now. Usually I never find anything there, but I was asking the wrong guy all along. Turns out the guy I spoke to was a collector, and knew everything they had in-stock in the back. No Storm though, but I did turn my back on a Nightcrawler...still waiting to see how he compares to the ToyBiz version. Glad I finally found someone at Target who could speak the lingo!

We should be getting a few reveals this weekend from the Toy Unboxing con in Mexico.

I still can't believe they messed up putting on Vulture's wings for the Unboxing Toy Convention. I wonder if they'll do a Hasbro Q&A over there. If we don't see them for sure on display at the con, since they only had three new figures revealed at their con last year, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Hasbro will give us new figures for several in-demand characters that need new figures A.S.A.P., like first appearance Storm, Firestar, classic Electro, classic Shocker, the Leader, green-and-yellow suit Banshee, Avalanche, Pyro, classic Falcon, classic Captain Marvel II, Silver Centurion Iron Man, classic U.S. Agent, Mr. Hyde and Constrictor. If they just show us classic Electro and/or "Amazing Friends" Firestar, that'd be enough for me.

I could be wrong, but I think that Siryn is a retro Black Widow head on a Jim Lee Rogue body with the jacket removed. Ironically, I have a Mint In Box Rogue with the jacket missing from the body due to a factory error.

Surin i made a while ago- she's just a Rogue (when they were peg warming) with a MJ head and a little bit of sculpt for thr collar. Paint was pretty easy, just found a matching green and extended the leg color a bit.

In other news, I finally found the wolverine / hulk pack, and honestly that hulk may be the greatest figure ever made. I have been playing with it for an hour and I can’t find a flaw. It’s size, and weight are spot on, he head and hair are just freakin perfect, he has open hands! And butterfly joints! He’s like a high end import, plus he comes with a cool first appearance Wolverine for an accessory! If I could come up with one thing to complain about, and I’m stretching here, I wish he had clap hands. I’m not sure if any hulk has, but I think he’d pull off a great thunder clap pose. |

Speaking of the figures I am waiting on, what is the general consensus on Juggernaut? BaF or 80th? Keeping one or both? |
BAF Juggernaut for me. While i love the damaged helmet, i like the colors on the BAF better. I'll keep the 2pk around for pics- but the BAF got the shelf space

My Ghost and Luis set arrived today from Target. Luis wasn't a character I ever necessarily expected to get a figure but I'm glad he has so Scott can have his buddy on the shelf. Like Klaue, I don't have any standing issue with his suit piece in hand but I definitely see why others may. A character specific accessory might have been nice to give him some extra "umph" but it's not like Hasbro can materialize him a long anecdote bogged with unnecessary tangent details. Having Luis gives me hope that one day we might get a figure of Happy, which would be nice. Ghost was always the main draw of this set, being a figure high on my want list since the movie came out, and I'm very impressed with the final result. The sculpting on her suit is on par with figures like Ebony Maw or Corvus Glaive, which is to say it's great all the way down to the small patterns and textures. Her paint is pretty minimal on the suit given it's mostly just grey and then slightly darker or lighter grey. The blue disks are fine but as expected not every one is 100% in place and then the red on her mask is also all in place. Her articulation is the standard showing of an MCU figure at this point but I do feel like her elbows get more range on them than some other figures that also only use the single hinge. The alternate head came out fantastic and they even did the hair color right compared to the official images shown, I also think the way they sculpted how it fits into the pulled down hood came out very well. The heads swap easily enough but I will note that the hood on her masked head does seem to be attached to the head itself so it all just pops off as one piece. The shrunken lab building/luggage accessory is a fun inclusion and the handle does slide in and out but obviously they didn't actually fit it with little wheels. For whatever reason though it was held in the packaging bubble really tightly, like too tightly. The large ant is easily the weakest part of the set, it's not objectively terrible but its soft sculpt and minimal yet sloppy paint apps don't help it out much. Overall I'm calling this set a winner for giving me the Ghost I've been waiting for and the Luis I didn't think I needed until I had it. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...49cb4734_b.jpg Here I've tried my hand at recreating Ghost's phasing by overlaying 2 pictures as one, I think it came out alright. Then of course I had to get a sort-of family photo with Ant-Man and Wasp. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...02c192c8_b.jpg |

Ghost looks cool... like a character from Ghost in the Shell or something... the masked version anyway.

I just got the Luis and Ghost set and yeah it's awesome. But now we need to build the team. Where's T.I. and the guy from The Dark Knight?

As far as figures go... 80’th on the juggernaut all the way. When they first revealed him I felt a bit jaded, ( it sucks when a BAF gets a better single release later) but looking at him, I like the more vibrant and comic accurate paint, and the no helmet head looks great. The BAF is awesome too though, I’d say keep both. One can never have enough juggernauts, or is it juggerni? I don’t know, I’m sure you’ll tell me though. |

I’ve got 2 and one headless body from back when all those figs were cheap as hell. I’m going to test the heads and see what looks best, then let one go.
