So there’s an connection there. I’ll legitimately take any excuse to get her.

Ha! I like that connection too!

she looks great. I do also want Syrin for sure. I'm just thinking Sunspot because he's the last of the original New Mutants not to be made in some form, once Dani and her collection of heads come out.

That recipe sounds fairly doable. If I have an extra Rogue I might try that, I think I do but not sure. If I don't forget it, I see how much she's going for.

Seeing as how Hasbro just needs to use the biker Black Widow body with Storm's cape and make a new head, Syrin shouldn't have to take too long to get made.

tierneygreen 08-03-2019 07:44 AM

Hey all. I've spotted retro Iceman at several GameStops and a few had some marbling that really ruined the aesthetic for me. One even had a dark blue line of discoloration that ran the length of its face. I guess that's a danger of the translucent material they're made of. Just wanted to give y'all a heads-up.

edit: Sorry no pics. My phone's camera and I just don't understand one another.

If Hasbro cheaps out THAT badly, even I (who has a very high tolerance for toys and weird decisions by the manufacturer)would be offended- :) She needs puffy jacket style upper arms and proper wings :)

Whatever. I have already responded to you more than I should have. Move on. I will not participate in trying to derail this thread further.

When they first revealed him I felt a bit jaded, ( it sucks when a BAF gets a better single release later) but looking at him, I like the more vibrant and comic accurate paint, and the no helmet head looks great. The BAF is awesome too though, I’d say keep both. One can never have enough juggernauts, or is it juggerni? I don’t know, I’m sure you’ll tell me though.

Snarky comment aside, I agree with you about the Juggernaut. I spent too much money collecting the parts and now I have to buy a second figure just to get the Colossus I want. I am super annoyed by this 2 pack and the Jean Grey 3 pack. Everyone just calls it "The Jean Grey 3-pack". The other two figures were pretty unnecessary except for Hasbro to charge more money for Jean.

I should have said "Storm's arms and cape."

Not sure where you are getting the jacket from and she didn't have actual wings.

Although, this is more of what I think of with the arms:

Speak for yourself. I'm enough of a sucker to want Bomber Jacket Scott and Bone Claw Logan to go with my Jean.

O-kay. Now that's funny, since usually the BAF part is swapped too, but... that looks like it's still Sandman's leg, yeah?

Yea same. I don’t own a Jim lee Cyclops so I’m glad they’re actually rereleasing him on top of that The bomber Jacket Scott is probably one of my favorite looks for him.

@Ken haha thanks for the good laugh. Is that Total heroes Green man head? Haha

Definitely manufacturing error. Could be worth millions...

Marvel Select Colossus is only a little bit taller than Marvel Legends Colossus. The torso, arms, and upper legs are around the same length. The lower legs are longer. Before I try converting Marvel Legends Colossus into Gold Team Colossus, I might try converting Marvel Select Colossus. The X in the belt is in a rectangle at least. With the parts of his costume that are removable on the Marvel Legends version, I think Hasbro will still release a variant Colossus though.

Dr Kain 08-03-2019 11:54 AM

FOr a Jim Lee Colossus, not only does the belt need to be square, but the knee sticking up thingys need to be more flat at the top.

Speaking of Colossus, can someone tell me what version of the X-Men team the figure Hasbro did in the Warlock wave is from? I can't seem to find any pictures on Google showing him in that costume with any team.

Anyway, some day the Walmarts here in Colorado will get 80th Cap instock... right?

May I ask where you acquired the gun Domino is holding from?

Semantics. Wings are the cloth between jet arms. And she had puffy sleeves at the shoulder (see first pic) They could of course go any way they want- but she should look as close to the top picture ad possible

He first wore that costume in Uncanny #500, when the team took up residence in San Francisco. The costume stuck around until he gained the power of the Juggernaut (Uncanny #542). The costume was also his initial outfit in the Contest of Champions mobile game, which gave it a bit more public visibility.

I know he had it in the Uncanny X-men in the late aughts, around '08 and '09. It was on the cover of 507 for sure. In general this would be considered his Heroic Age costume.

Speaking of Colossus, I hope Hasbro uses him as a base to give us the real Death's Head.

:D. But a regular DeathsHead would be much appreciated... and since he has a new book out that might not be a bad push!

If you got to Uncanny X-men dot net (i’m apparently not allowed to post links?), go to Character Spotlights, Colossus, Costume Gallery And then look at #9 you’ll see the info for that particular costume. It says it debuted in Uncanny X-Men 500 so hopefully that gives you a reference point for what you’re looking for!

Sorry I couldn’t post a link, that would have been 1000x easier.

White Rabbit and Superior Octopus are confirmed for the next Spider-Man wave. Really dope reveals IMO.
