My pre-order is supposed to arrive Thursday, August 8th. If there is a mandated hard release date, I would assume that's it.

In other news, I received my pre-order from Pulse for Nightcrawler – the one figure I've been pining for the most since I started collecting Legends three years ago. Aside from a couple of QA issues, I am beside myself with glee. This is as perfect a mass-retail representation of the character as I could imagine.

Mine has an odd...texture...happening on the right shin, as well as a couple of minor paint issues on the red trim of his gloves (think the red-on-black paint app issues on last year's Magneto). Otherwise, he's fantastic.

On a related-but-separate rant...

Other figs I ordered from Pulse at the same time as Nightcrawler have each been shipped separately, rather than the whole order being fulfilled as one. I mean, it's no skin off my nose. The Pulse account I got at the beginning of the year gets me free shipping on anything I buy, no matter what. Far be it from me to look that gift horse in the mouth. However, the practice of shipping each item separately just seems wasteful and inefficient, especially nowadays. Then again, I'm not remotely privy to their fulfillment processes and infrastructure.

Awesome! I see a Walmart in the area has some showing on Brickseek, but when I called with the SKU they said there is nothing showing in the system with that number.

Actually, that would be a better result probably... IMO regular wave singles have better quality control and not too mention better distribution and there is a good chance she would be double packed.

Also... I have a feeling both Rogue and BAF Apocalypse will have a re-release of some kind in the next couple of years... even BAF Kingpin too probably. IMO Hasbro is both running out of heavy hitters to anchor waves and making too much money re-releasing characters in sets or charging extra for them in the special releases like the 1st 10 Years and 80th lines to stop now. I think only the obscure unpopular BAFs and characters will never get re-released.

Nice. I hit five targets, 3 Walmarts and 4 gamestops and saw every figure in the wave but Storm

I did pick up Cannonball and I'm even more salty than I was before. The blast effect pops off so easily, it was clearly meant to be swappable and the legs just got cut. Paladin is super cheap on Amazon so time for some customizing

^ Same here... I think I have seen the entire wave sitting on the same peg except for Storm maybe 10 times by now.

Also... that wrestler saying YES in the .gif... if Ryan Reynolds fell on hard times and aged about 15 years... he would look like that guy maybe I think.

@Veronica have you check GameStop.com to check store availability? You could also check Popfindr with the Dpci to see if any Target stores near ya got them in stock. So you’re not out driving to a lot of stores. That’s how I lucked out on mine. It said “6” in stock so I drove there and Asked a employee with the Dpci and 10 secs later they came from the back with Silver Samurai and Storm.

^ IMO the flaw of the Gamestop inventory check system is that they show items that have been preordered and are already reserved as currently in stock... so they are actually in the store, but you can't buy them. It wasn't really a problem before since nobody really preordered toys from Gamestop... but nowadays a ton of people are preordering Legends figures from Gamestop.

The guy I talked to at Gamestop this morning said they keep changing the date for Storm in there system, the other ones I checked just happened to be in the same parking lot as the Targets I was checking, I took some pictures at the Targets that I'm going to post in a bit

Don’t trust Brickseek...it said every Target w/in 100 miles was out of stock. I almost didn’t give it a shot, but it looked like I caught it right after the case was stocked.

I also picked up Cyclops from GameStop...thinking about returning him since he’s quite underwhelming. Passed on Wolverine too...it just didn’t strike me as worth owning full price.

I got Dazzler, Iceman and Samurai from Amazon, I'm not willing to pay the inflated price for Storm

Yeah That’s why I use Popfindr, Brickseek is absolutely garbage. It said the same thing to me. Then I tried popfindr and said 6 in stock(which ended up being true) so I don’t know what’s wrong with Brickseek. I wouldn’t trust or use it at all either

Yea I don’t blame you at all. Those prices are absolutely outrageous. I wonder what percent of people that are buying her to only resell her for 2-3 times the price on eBay. But Hopefully ya can come across her soon because That’s weird they keep changing date for Storm probably due to her popularity what’d be my guess.

I reserved one for in store pick up through the Walmart listing. Brickseek is showing several near me but only a couple of those stores allowed me to purchase for pick up today.

Popfindr said the same, nothing in stock. I’m glad I can rest easy now. I’m probably skipping on the Endgame and Wendigo wave until my funds replenish. I need to get choosier and unload some stuff going forward. My son is also feeding my WWE collecting urge, so I’m double broke right now.

Meanwhile in Massachusetts, I haven’t found anything yet. Across all of my local Targets, nothing except for Thor.

Damn that sucks. That’s why I hate preordering sometimes. I received my figs 3-4 Full months after they officially came out before. But If I do somehow come across another I’d be more then happy to definitely pick her up and let you know.
Really? Damn. I know how it is on both fronts HaHa! I really hate the hunt sometimes man. Especially if it’s for a Figure I’ve got to have like Storm I was the same way with Comic Mysterio never did find him. Luckily a fellow Arker helped me out. But I’m broke as hell right now as well. With those 80th,Retro,Wedingo, And that's not including those Dc Multiverse Croc wave. I still haven’t finished Endgame wave 2 or FFH waves. So at least ya aren’t alone.

Wow. Checked walmarts site 2 hours ago on a whim and found 2 local ones that had 8 80th Caps. In the 30 mins it took to drive to one, the stock number went from 8 to 5 to 0. So I skipped that one and checked the other Walmart and stock went from 8 to 5 to 1. And I just checked that Walmart and theres nothing.

Really hate the Pensacola area for collecting. Tons of dbags and scalpers around here. One guy on ebay literally lists figures for $70-200. Cyclops is up for $200 on his page. Can't help but wonder if he's involved.

Met a different guy in the Marvel section once about a year ago and chatted about collecting, movies, etc. The Thanos exclusive had been out for months but I'd never seen it and a case actually came into this Walmart a few days before then so I said I finally picked one up a couple days ago. He said he'd let me know if he comes across anything I'm looking for and that he always gives good deals to collectors. I thought the wording was odd so I said "you mean at retail price? I thought you were a collector too." He says "oh no, I resell them but I'll give you a good deal." Then he proceeded to show me pics of his literal warehouse of stuff he resells. Shelves of not just "adult" collectibles but kids stuff too, Hatchimals, etc. He actually lamented about how Walmart was redistributing the Black Panther and Thanos exclusives as he had bought every one of them across 5 Walmarts. I told him you're a douche, have a good day. Never seen him again.

I read an article about some of the people who make a living doing this. Living in motel rooms, vans, traveling nomads searching box to box for items that can be scalped. I won’t pay a dime over retail unless it’s from my local shop.
