I can only assume Hasbro thought Cannonball might not fare well as a deluxe figure with no BAF pieces attached to him. But you're right, that would have been the best way to release him. I would have much rather paid $30-35 for a Cannonball with a swappable lower body and a neutral head sculpt than to have done all of this myself. But at least I have this as an option now once I complete it. As a newbie customizer, this wasn't actually all that difficult to do.

Whose lower half did ya use?

I used Shatterstar. Technically any Bucky Cap figure should work, but Shatterstar will make painting it easier since the joints are already in white.

EDIT: Oh, and the boots are from the OG Civil War Cap.

Well supposedly Hasbro has "Acknowledged the Cannonball complaints" so we'll see him re-released in the near future with legs... maybe....

A "parts" pack consisting of a calm Beast head, Wolfsbane's X-Factor upper body and Cannonball's legs. :D

Why just Wolfsbane's upper body? She needs legs too. Throw in a classic Wendigo head as well.

a double parts pack then! We'll also throw in the upper body of Emma Frost to make a more classic White Queen outfit.

That’d be instant buys!

The question is should they try to line up the parts closely in the packaging to look like a figure (they wouldn't actually be connected though) or should they just be scattered throughout the plastic? Imagine it: Beast Head, Emma Frost Body, Cannonball legs!

Precisely!

On a serious note, does anyone know whenabouts the 80th Anniversary Thor will start shipping from e-tailers? I know he's been seen in the wild but I have no will, time or energy to go hunting.

Yeah I think they should do it kinda the way Dc collectibles did and release it as a accessory pack. All I know is somehow someway We better get a Cannonball legs. Because that’s the only reason that’s stopped me from buying the figure. Don’t wanna drop $20 on half a fig haha. But you’ve got some great ideas ha. Hasbro outta hire you ha.

Amazon says they'll have them on the 15th, it's possible other e-tailers have similar dates or may get them sooner as happened with the Wendigo and retro X-waves. Petty was right, waiting sucks.

Thanks that is helpful! Maybe we will start seeing movement on these in another week. I think the new cap and Iron Man are neat but a classic Thor was the only one I just couldn't resist.

Calling it now: they'll do some sort of X-Force box set or two-pack with one or two new characters and then legged-up Cannonball.

Trivial Psychic 08-09-2019 03:16 PM

All this talk of Cannonball and legs...

Does anyone not need the Wendigo leg (right leg) that came with Cannonball? Help a brotha out!

larryw3158 08-09-2019 03:55 PM

Binary Captain Marvel

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you all know I just came from the Walmart in Niles on Touhy and they had a dozen of the Binary Caps just sitting there! So they ARE being re-released. Don't pay scalpers!

How about some more Alpha Flight? Starjammers?

StuartGreen2019 08-09-2019 06:24 PM

So where was it reported Hasbro has "acknowledged the Cannonball complaints"? Is there an interview or website article link?

What I want to know is, will Hasbro acknowledge the Doc Ock tentacles complaints and do bendy wire tentacles for him? Or will we have to wait for a new Doctor Octopus figure with a new body/costume? And I agree with Nash. Beast needs a calm Beast head. And we need an optic blast for the upcoming 3-pack Cyclops. And a calm/smiling Captain America head, since I hate all the "angry caveman" recent head sculpts.

Fingers crossed Hasbro acknowledges that fans want to see Firestar, classic Falcon, classic Electro (with normal alternate gloved hands this time please), Silver Centurion Iron Man and First Appearance Storm and will make them all into new figures next year.

Tim 08-09-2019 06:55 PM

Would anyone happen to have a Silver Samurai or more importantly a ice-man from the retro wave for trade?

TheBlueMarvel 08-09-2019 06:56 PM

What the hell ever happened to Super Skrull?

Completely valid question. Was he ever officially revealed? Or was he just a rumor?

TheBlueMarvel 08-09-2019 06:59 PM

Where the hell is the 'Legends' Desrtoyer??
