Well I got in on Pulse and got the Collector/Grandmaster set. Lost Hulk in my cart before I got to the payment screen. Under 30 seconds from when they went live mind you. So at Least I got the Collector, that I wanted the most, and I already have the Hulk/Wolverine 80th pack. Just liked the darker colors on Hulk. Will try again tomorrow if they saved any for the public release.

That sucks about the Hulk. I'm hoping they have enough of the Collector/Grandmaster set for public release. I'd really like to get it.

Tarooster 08-29-2019 09:10 AM

I would grab the Hulk is possible but the 2 pack one is amazing anyway and I'd rather get the Grey Hulk exclusive.

Tim 08-29-2019 09:16 AM

GameStop for the win. I got Ronan(To repaint into Cap marvel movie colors) , (Monster Venom) Carnage and Neca ultimate Video game Freddy for $5 each

I’m still hoping contrary to what they said that they release The Collector in a two pack or single carded someday. Probably when GOTG 3 arrives

Firestar
Justice
Sersi
Quasar
Living Lightening
Crystal
Swordsman I
Swordsman II
Magdalene (Yeah, I said it, I don't care lol)
Stingray

That would take care of it for me. No interest at all in Moondragon and negative interest in Starfox.

The Avengers I’d like to see made (excluding redos):

- Swordsman I
- Mantis
- Moondragon
- Two-Gun Kid
- Wonder-Man (Safari Jacket)
- Photon (Classic)
- Doctor Druid
- Mockingbird (Classic)
- War Machine
- U.S. Agent
- Quasar (Classic)
- Sersi
- Stingray
- Living Lightning
- Crystal
- Firestar
- 3-D Man
- Jocasta

This list ranges from figures I see as inevitable (War Machine) to probably never going to happen (even in a world with an Alpha Flight boxset, there will not be a Marvel Legends figure of 3-D Man or the Two-Gun Kid).

SDCC exclusives sale is now live for Hasbro Pulse premium members.

As for possible price increases on Legends, I'm still in. I buy most of my stuff on sale so I'll probably be able to stay within my budget even if prices go up.

Looks like my collecting days are coming to an end as anything over 20 for legends is a no go, especially with the qc being less than stellar as of late.

Yeah, when that happens, I’ll really have to be much more selective with what I get. There would be a lot less casual purchases, and a lot fewer complete BAFs. Kinda disappointing.

Seriously, he’s overdue. Personally, I’d like his Annihilation look, but that’s me.

Yup - this is exactly the uniform I want for him...

I have a question for thoses who really are into Marvel Legends figures.

If you knew then what you know now, would you have bought certain figures back then right away where today they're pretty spendy now on ebay or amazon?

like the Juggernaut build a figure line that had Rogue, brown and tan Wolverine, Cable, and Jean Grey Pheonix?

urrutiap 08-29-2019 02:28 PM

Even the old Marvel Select from years ago they had some nice figures along with build a figure stuff like the Annihilus build a figure

urrutiap 08-29-2019 02:29 PM

a couple of years ago when Walmart did have some of the Juggernaut build a figure line, i should have bought Cable and Jean Grey green Pheonix and brown and tan Wolverine. Even with Rogue, Kitty, and Havok pegwarming like crazy in small town Shopko stores I should have at least bought a couple when Shopko was having regular sales going on

I woulda. Infect i did as i planned on making customs but with hasbro cranking out stuff to complete teams i offloaded the extras i had so i could get other stuff i wanted. Of course once next year hits i probably will be buy slim to none as im not paying higher prices.

AFU 08-29-2019 03:00 PM

That Hasbro pulse exclusive Hulk sold out that quick! That was a bunch of BS, thanks for f-/king things up Hasbro...I guess Hasbro premium membership seems lackluster...What a scam...

Marine73 08-29-2019 03:06 PM

I foresee Hasbro loosing money on this, or ending a line. This is a hobby for like 90% of us and the remaining 10% being sales to kids. If I have to choose with The coming financially unstable future of the US economy between feeding, sheltering, clothing my family over a toy collection well then I’m done collecting.
To me in my opinion as Hasbro says this is temporary then seeing as they choose to produce their product overseas ( by the way at a considerably less cost thus boosting their profits) then it should be the company’s that temporary abosorb the tariff increase. Not the retailers who sell your product and definitely not the customers you rely on to buy your product.

Probably not. As I posted earlier, every legend will go on sale at some point within a few months of being released. I think it's when it goes past a year is when you miss the boat on popular figures.

Man, I just got started here on the board, but I probably ought to just fade back out rather than keep frequenting the threads, because the more I hear talk of stuff the more I want. I've spent more on toys this year than I have in several years combined, and I just can't afford it if they plan on increasing the prices now too.

Boy Blunder 08-29-2019 05:00 PM

Anyone looking to buy/trade for a BAF Juggernaut? Picked up the Colossus/Juggy two-pack last night, and I've decided I don't need both versions of ol' Cain.

MeLikeJinx 08-29-2019 05:01 PM

^ ^ You can also look at it like... these are the definitive toy versions of your favorite characters though. It is not like people who bought all the early 90's Marvel figures and then again bought all the toy biz Marvel Legends figures... IMO these current Marvel Legends are the final toy versions of your favorite Marvel characters that you will ever buy probably... they have reached that magical good enough standard as a toy.

I mean... 80th Green Hulk, Thor, IM and Cap... IMO if you have these figs you never need to buy those characters again. And Hasbro are pretty much done with the 90's X-men too... I mean I bet they will re-release some figures like Rogue and a few missing characters like Maverick or classic Emma Frost, Shadowcat and Banshee, but they are basically done with the main cast IMO. If you have them all you won't need to buy another set of 90's X-men ever again IMO.

TheBlueMarvel 08-29-2019 06:02 PM

This ill advised trade war is going to have a much wider scope should this protectionist stance continue. Whether people like it, or not, we exist in a global economy and manufacturing is always going to seek cheap labor for the production of low cost consumer goods. The compensation expectations of the average non-skilled worker in industrialized nations is simply too high for cheap consumer goods to be manufactured in those types of environments. Add automation to the equation and it starts to set in that manufacturing is all but dead in first world nations, but as I mentioned a few weeks ago, that's been a reality in America for forty years. I'm sorry to say this, but this is all going to get much worse. People may want to consider buying holiday gifts now, or better yet, start putting away as much money as you can.

The 2008 housing market implosion, subsequent recession, and unavoidable bailouts resulted in the largest transfer of wealth in American financial history. What could be better than that "perfect storm?" A predictable depression...

But hey everyone, I found two 80th anniversary Caps and grabbed another Nightcrawler today! Yaaaaaay!

TheBlueMarvel 08-29-2019 06:08 PM

Whoops...and I grabbed a second SDCC Hulk and I'm eyeing a second Satana! Why? Because fuck it!...consumerism!

MeLikeJinx 08-29-2019 06:42 PM

^ IMO the SDCC Hulk is not as cool as the 80th Green Hulk... especially with the eventual release of the Vintage Gray Hulk with the same headsculpt. I mean at first glance I thought the SDCC version was more desirable, but then I saw the color of the veins and that his arms weren't exactly the same color as his body... after that I just decided to get the 80th version.

I find the Juggernaut wave to be one of the most fascinating waves of recent memory. I mean first Deadpool was impossible to find for that wave... I would literally see every figure except him. But now Juggernaut Deadpool is almost worthless with all the Deadpools that they released. I feel sorry for the person that horded that Deadpool thinking he would retain his value like previous Marvel Legends Deadpools did. Then there is the Brown Suit Wolvie... which was the second most hard to find figure... which tanked in value when they re-released a more vibrant colored version with an unmasked head in the vintage line, but wait... you still needed him to complete Juggernaut... but then they re-released Juggernaut too. And then Rogue... I never understood why Rogue was so easy to find back then... and why she was hovering around the 20/30 dollar mark for such a long time... before finally shooting up in value to around 60 dollars MIB when the Apocalypse wave hit. I mean it was a 90's Rogue with a great headsculpt... crazy. I remember watching toy hunting vids on Youtube and commenting on why hunters were passing on Rogue... and that they would regret it when Gambit got made.

Spyne98 08-29-2019 06:44 PM

Wait, did Hulk go back on sale? I missed it earlier today. I was going to try for tomorrow. Anyone know when it'll go up? My friend isn't a Pulse member, so I said I'd grab one for him and one for me.
