Meanwhile in old Blighty, we finally got Storm and Dazzler, and with them my pre-orders arrived. These are my thoughts:
I love Guardian but I have some QC issues and the red should have been redder. Also needs shooting hands.
I got two Storms. One I had to boil, iron and reshape, the other one was fine. Love her.
Iceman is a mess. All of them have that awful line across the face, bloody Hasbro should have send them back to factory. Plus brown dots on his face. But in a sea of figures I won't notice.
Dazzler is much better than expected and quite solid. But I don't love her face.
Nightcrawler is awesome, and my favourite X-man so I got three. And I'm keeping my old one too.
Boom Boom is a character I have no love for, but again her colours, construction and effects is a welcome surprise.
Erm...I quite like Cannonball. I would prefer his NM outfit but he surely looks different in a shelf.
And Silver Samurai is just awesome. Only nitpick is he cannot look up, but hey, 20 years in the making. I'm debating to get a second one, but after this summer I'm dry-out.
Oh, I forgot Sinister. Initially I wasn't going to get it as I don't love 90's characters, and my Toybiz looks great. But I found him in the wild, and again, very happy with him too.
Is there many Toybiz figures left to do? (Besides Lady Deathstrike, Yelena Belova and Danny Ketch?). Must check.
And finally Wendigo. I got most of the pieces. I prefer my old one. I didn't like the head as I'd didn't fit with the aesthetics of ML. But hey, I have countless horror figures (they come out at Halloween) and I was only missing the head so I ordered it from a UK collector for a tenner.

What's going on with the worthy Captain America? Why so expensive and difficult to find?
I got one for a mate and it was 40 pounds, which is a lot. And never seen another one (at that price). I don't get it. He has a hammer. And a beat up shield. Big deal. Still, my mate is delirious.
I hear Emma Frost is scarce in the US. I got two, and I think I can get more. But on the other hand no Dani Moonstars to be either bought or pre-order (and I need six) and no Alpha Flight set in the UK to pre-order unless I want to pay double for shipping and taxes. It bloody sucks. Hopefully it will be sorted.
And lastly I had no idea what to do with my spared Wasp body and my spared Mystique head. Impossible to get a second Rogue at decent price, and I'm using Wasp' head on a Gwyneth Paltrow body to make Marrina, so I came out with this solution as I like to display cool iterations. Plus I think it's funny too.

It's based on a pivotal scene from a huge hit movie, and is a Walmart exclusive. It's not that surprising.

Yeah man. The sad truth is that Walmart exclusives are a pain in the butt to get a hold of. I had trouble finding an 80th anniversary Cap, and I didn't even see one myself. My friend, who lives 2 hours away, found one for me. I haven't seen him in a bit so I still don't have him in hand yet either. There are a few Transformers exclusives that Walmart is getting and I have pretty much decided that I'm not even going to bother.

That's not even getting into the hell people have reported in trying to actually get that Corvus Glaive.

Strangely, Target is almost always really good with the exclusives everywhere I go.

I have never seen a Walmart exclusive Legends fig on the shelf during the initial release period... not once. The only time I ever see them is if for some reason they get a ton of them like 6 to 8 months later... like how I saw a bunch of Thanos like 7 months after they were supposed to first come out. For me it is better to just assume either Cap doesn't exist.

EDIT: No wait... I did see the Spiderman/Vulture 2 pack once, but that's it.

^ I still cannot believe they cast the lady from Madmen as Emma Frost. Awesome customs though! I think I will wait until White Rabbit comes out to try and make an Emma custom, but hopefully Hasbro announces one before then. If they do I wonder which one they would make... classic or more modern... I like both, so it really doesn't matter to me. Great Selene too! I love that half heavy skirt bottom look so much.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. When it comes to Walmart exclusives, the smart move is ordering them online.

I put together the Emma custom before they announced White Rabbit, my concern with White Rabbit is that from what they've shown so far her pocket watch and chain might be part of the sculpt

I had no desire to get that punisher variant... until now. Did they change him from the promo shots? He looks fantastic.

The only difference I can see between mine and the promo shots is the paint apps on the face. The bandana head has more stubble and is darker around the eyes while the painted face looks grim and menacing instead of bored.

Picked up the rare Rescue today. It was at Gamestop so a little pricey, but I'm happy to have her. I hope to get another someday to display unmasked.
