One more year that's as quality as this one was and my fear is that after that there is only 1 direction to go from there.

I would expect to see the BAF for the first Spiderman wave of 2020, more of the AoA wave, and possibly find out what waves Grey She Hulk, Dr. Doom, and Strong Guy will appear in. Hopefully they’ll show some new 80th Anniversary figures. I would expect official announcements for the Grey Hulk and the War Machine Punisher since some people have already gotten them.

I doubt we’ll see anything from Black Widow at NYCC.

Not that he's going to be wearing it- but i threw a quick Gsmerverse style paintjob on the Warmachine helmet

I am just loving this figure.

snake5289 09-29-2019 05:42 PM

Well there's your Iron Man replacement in the MCU.

Oh if only.

snake5289 09-29-2019 05:59 PM

Whenever they do officially bring in Punisher I want to see a Hearts of Darkness movie.

Ghost Rider, Wolverine, and Punisher teaming up against Blackheart? Hell. To. The. Yes.

If that's the case, can you pick up a Beast for me? :o

maczero 09-29-2019 07:18 PM

Hit a couple of Targets over the weekend. Scored the Black Widow & Hawkeye set for $28 and Skullbuster for $10. Funny thing is neither were marked as clearance. Need to remind myself to price check regularly even if figures aren't marked as on sale.

Wow! That makes about 5 in the DC metro area. Not that I even like the place. I wish we could trade our Roy Rogers for Jack in the Box.

I'd be up for Armadillo. Love his design and if they get the scale right, I'd imagine he'd be around ten inches tall.

I'm starting to sour on this figure for a few reasons. First, is that this War Machine is actually smaller than every Punisher Marvel Legends so it throws off the illusion that Frank could actually be inside the armor. I know not a big deal to a lot of you but hey it's my money and I want a Punisher War Machine that looks big enough to accommodate him. Second, I feel a Punisher version of War Machine would look more appropriate with conventional weapons. I'd replace the laser cannon and baton with a gatling cannon and a missile launcher. Finally, I think I prefer a skull on the face plate as well. I might track down that Iron Skull figure and put its head on the Endgame War Machine.

Just an FYI...Beast is still for sale at BBTS. I Just picked up an extra one.

Tim 09-29-2019 07:32 PM

O damn! I need me another Black widow(just her basically) set! So for $28 I’ll definitely bite. If anyone picks up an extra and don’t need Black widow head lemme know.
I actually love the look of that War machine, I might see if the Netflix head fits on it(I’m gonna find any excuse to buy this guy)

ThorOdinson123 09-29-2019 07:57 PM

So do we know when Bro Thor wave is out? Hasbro Pulse and Walmart.com say November BBTS says October.

Also hoping at NYCC we get a Short Hair Endgame Captain Marvel and maybe Wong for figure.

I have one for trade if you still need it.

Bo Ttef 09-29-2019 10:17 PM

I don't really find the armor too small- it's pretty accurate to the story arc with how it was drawn a lot- so it's a lot better choice than the EndGame version IMO- Easy enough to chalk it up to nano tech vs a suit (MCU Tony looked like he was wearing red and gold pj's by EndGame lolz...)

Vamp 09-29-2019 10:48 PM

The suit on Punisher IM looks alittle thin for my taste, should be alittle more bulky

TheBlueMarvel 09-30-2019 03:47 AM

@Bo

Your side by side comparison would be more helpful if they were posed neutrally. Bent knees and wide/spreadeagle stances, while definitely less boring, create an illusion of parity. But beyond that, and, as a few have mentioned, most of those figs have greater girth than the Punisher wearing armor. Thicker legs/thighs, broader shoulders, larger arms, and a couple seem taller- if only by a nominal amount. Logic dictates that any fig of him wearing heavy armor should be obviously larger than the figs without.

But if you like that fig, more power. However, I have to agree with the sentiments of some others; that mold is a bit puny. I wasn't crazy about it even for Rhodes. Don Cheadle's WM? Sure, Don's a petite and dainty man who is skinny and doesn't even top 5'8" (?)...the Punisher is no 'girly-man' lol

Bo Ttef 09-30-2019 08:43 AM

lolz- this group... Well you guys keep waiting on Hasbro to figure out the difference between 6'1 and 6'1 in armor and I'll keep enjoying my toys... LIKE IS SAID- it would be nice if he was a little bigger- but he's not. so take him or leave him- he's a fucking AWESOME figure!

Hey! It’s the internet of people aren’t complaining something is wrong Haha. I gotta agree with you on this. The figure is completely badass. I’m just waitin till I get paid to pickup him.

Boy Blunder 09-30-2019 09:37 AM

Dropped into Gamestop yesterday and dropped the full price on preordering the Scott/Jean/Logan three-pack. No way in hell I'm missing that.

I'll grab the Alex/Lorna pack later. They're still high on my list, but I doubt they have the same level of demand that the three-pack does.

Cezarion 09-30-2019 09:53 AM

This WM Punisher looks fantastic and I really want it. Still I wonder if it will be available in Europe, because I'm not going to pay 20+ bucks for shippment and about 30+ for figure itself on Ebay...

I will never trust Gamestop enough ever again to drop a full amount down on something as there is no guarantee they will get it in.

Legends birthday haul.

As a base figure Scorpion handles very well, nothing loose or too tight. His tail on the other hand has room to improve, the main bendy wire aspect works alright but I think they should have put the stinger on its own ball-joint at the end of the tail so it could move independently and not wind up upside down in certain arrangements. I really like the metallic green color, it pops on the shelf.

I got the Korg and Grandmaster set for $30 and at that price I can't complain too much about the shortcomings. The Jeff Goldblum likeness is great and in general they did a good job capturing the look of the character but some of the articulation is limited or just stiff on mine. Korg also looks great and he's pretty sizable but his weapon is notably under-painted and while his friendly expression is very fitting to the character as seen in the movie it kind of kills the idea of action poses to me.

I never saw Grandmaster and Korg or the Hela and Skurge packs in my area at all. Ghost and Luis are a plenty but neither of the other 2. I guess I'll end up ordering mine off line once I get some money in.

That is a great call... That was a rare example of a truly terrific prestige format one shot from the 90's..

snake5289 10-01-2019 12:29 AM

Honestly going forward I hope the MCU holds off on building up to a new galactic threat for a while and just has some fun with team-ups.
