Howdy all. So this is my first full on custom. I've dabbled a bit but never gone all in. Now I'm hooked. I resculpted the base of the head to give him a neck. I then did a series of washes, tight details and hit highlights. Here are some wip pics and a couple of the finished product. I'm particularly pleased with his toes :)

Appreciate it, bud. I'm going to tackle the BAF Lizard this weekend. I think I'll sculpt a shorter tongue that's split. More in line with the monitor lizard headsculpt.

So, any thoughts on that Retro Deadpool that got leaked?

I'm kinda for it. I'm not specifically looking for any more Deadpools (we have three, four if we break down and get the scooter set), but I never picked up the 90s DP from the Sasquatch wave, and it looks like this might be a more kitted-out version. I might pick it up.

Speaking of Deadpool, there's something odd I noticed on the Wikipedia page for Marvel Legends. For the listing of the X-Men Deadpool (with the alternate Madcap head), it gives two variants of the figure:

- Twin katanas and black rifles, alternate Madcap head and hat | X-Men uniform version
- No katanas, grey rifles, Madcap head and hat, and female mask | Deadpool costume variant

I haven't seen or heard anything about this, so I'm kinda writing it off as someone either putting in some wishful thinking, or having been misinformed when they typed up the entry. There's not really any egregious errors like that elsewhere on the page, which makes me wonder. Thoughts?

The deadpool reveal is okay, but easy pass for me. So close to other Deadpools we've already gotten in the last few years that don't really need an update, IMO.

If I get that DP he will go on the wall. Love the card.

I think that the new DP is a serious cash grab for Hasbro. Of course it is great for those who missed out on the Sasquatch release (which was my favorite figure of that wave) but it peg warmed pretty bad in my area and wasn't that hard to find. As of last week, there are still a few at some of my local Walgreens.

I'm fairly sure that the Madcap Deadpool "variant" is some fantasy booking by whoever posted it on Wikipedia. Either that, or the editor saw a part swapped Deadpool and mistook it for a variant, because that is what it certainly sounds like from the description.

Since I mentioned Walgreens, I read a report that Steven Anne, who was the Corporate Toy Catalog Buyer for Walgreens, has resigned from the company to pursue another opportunity within the toy industry. Steven was largely responsible for Walgreens moving in the direction that they did in the toy aisles, moving away from generic dollar store type toys and securing the deals that they did with Hasbro, Diamond Select, Funko, and Mattel. I wonder what this might mean for Walgreens as a toy retailer further down the line, and what kind of effect this might have on their exclusives (or the future amount they receive) in the upcoming future.

Finally, for those of you worried about finding the War Machine Punisher, take heart...he's not a Gamestop Exclusive. BBTS just put him up on their site for preorder, with a ship date of early December.

Really dig the package of the Retro Deadpool. I've got the original ToyBiz Uncanny X-Force Deadpool figure from 1992 MOC I've had for at least 20 years and this one will look nice hanging right next to it. Still need to pick up the Sasquatch wave Deadpool myself.

I'm super stoked for the Punisher War Machine. I was about to pay about $50 for a MK III War Machine just to customize but thank God I don't have to now. Wish his eyes were red rather than blue and came with a minigun to mount on his shoulder though.

I don’t know if I need retro Deadpool, but if he’s an indicator of an X-Force retro wave, I’m down. Maybe that’ll be Warpath, Feral, Pyro, Rictor, Stryfe?

Walmart has some of the Bro Thor wave up for Preorder at $18.84 and free shipping They have Valkyrie Iron Patriot Captain America. No Heimadall Vision or Iron Man Mark 85 though. Also Walmart's release date is November for them.

Interesting news. I hope whatever Walgreens and Hasbro have lined up already continues through 2020 at least. I suspect - and this is just speculation - but most of the "waves" of X-men be it 1 or 2 waves will be A0A focused. I'm not including Deadpool wave in that. But given we've been seeing an X-Woman line from Walgreens, I was kind of hoping we'd see at least FA Storm, Deathstrike and Shadowcat from them next year, or at VERY least FA Storm. I know a lot of fans myself including would be unhappy to have to wait yet another year for her.

My Marvel Unlimited Plus kit arrived today. Love mostly everything included from the pin, patch, variant comic covers, even the flippin' packaging art...the lone outlier remains that damned Terror Inc Deadpool...in an X-themed box...smh...Glad I'm not alone and that Storm shares my disdain for this figures inclusion as well...

Well at least's it's an exclusive to Marvel Unlimited and not in a wave with a Strong Man BAF part. I think the only figure I got from MU was the Captain Marvel, I've since let me subscription run out. I could be wrong as I'm not 100% certain I don't have rescue/pepper potts but no desire to renew for PinkPool.

Stupid. Does it at least include a pistol and knife? My favorite Hasbro move is to include empty holsters.

New official photos of the Retro Series Deadpool make him look much nicer, putting him on the newer Sunfire body and giving him dark (metallic?) blue in place of the black to mimic his first printed appearance in New Mutants #98.

Honestly, I'm digging him a bit more now.

OMG! Watching on Marvel.com they have some reveals on their live video. Not kidding. X-Force Sunspot and Warpath!!!!! Not sure which wave though.

Also black outfitted F4 for the F4 wave. With Doom and She Hulk..not sure who will round out the wave. We may find out later on today.

Also Stan Lee @ Target.com up for preorder today.

There will be more reveals this evening. this is just the appetizer and I'm so glad I was able to hit it at the right time.

Fantastic Four wave revealed She-Hulk, Doom and modern Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and Thing. BAF unrevealed.

The Stan Lee BAF is also finally being released.
