There are things that I like about it, the detail work on the plate-mail, the well sculpted head, the separate bag accessory, are all very tempting. I think a whole line in that style could have been interesting, but with only one fig with that look, I feared it would be the odd man out in any display. I'm interested its articulation, that might tip the scales.

They did do a Spider-Man to go with the Ramos Goblin , He is right next to my Goblin on the shelf. Spidey even had a more cartoon like head with the squinty black lenses , and slightly bigger hands if I remember right, it is great. And the new BAF of Hobgoblin was designed and first drawn by Ramos as well. So we will end up having 3 Ramos inspired figures soon.

another Hulk is useless, How many Mark Ruffalo Hulks does one person need. He's not changing anything from the first flick. Give us Movie versions of Ultron, Widow, Scarlet Witch or Quic… No just Ultron, Widow or Scarlet Witch.

Hmmmm, I didn't know that about that Spiderman fig. Humberto Ramos didn't leap to mind when viewing that Spidey, but I see it more now that you bring it up. I remember seeing that Spiderman and wondering to myself, " why doesn't he have an ab-crunch?" With this latest revelation, I think that may have had something to do with efforts to create a set piece for the Goblin fig....or, maybe not, given that a few figs from that line had no ab-crunch (i.e. Shocker, Kraven, et al).

Thank you for the pics, it's obvious that this Goblin doesn't lack sculpted detail. Toy Biz's Spiderman Marvel Legends line is a rabbit hole that I didn't go that far down. I'm still not sure that I want them (Goblin, Spidey, or this latest HobGob), but the series of comments from you and Spyne on this subject have left me more informed and less jaded.

No way! I wish! I'd be posting pics of them if I had them. I'm still waiting for my pre-order to ship. I ordered the line 2 weeks ago and I believe that the strike is going create a delay. The strike I'm referring to delayed a bunch of orders for Doomsday Unleashed (fortunately not mine) along with a number of Mattel DCUC figs. To my knowledge, they are still striking. The seller communicated that I should expect a 2/4ish delivery, but if what I believe about the strike is true, I'm doubtful that date will hold.

Haha, okay, just had to check and make sure you weren't holding out on us! :) (Side note: you just reminded me that we were talking about DD when he was first announced, and I never replied. My bad, TBM!)

Edit: My Marvel movie shelf will forever be complete with this!

@Blackarbor

I posted that on your wall almost 10 months ago, man! LOL...well, I got mine (DD) shortly before Christmas. He's awesome, but a little too big.

Nice spoof of the movie Galactus! I know your penchant for movie figs has you searching high and low for this box of cottony goodness! Try eBay! ;)

Feijai 01-19-2015 07:29 AM

For those of you who already have the BAF Odin, please tell me if the plastic they used are strong and durable like Terrax or flimsy like Green Goblin? Thanks this will determine if I want the set of just select figure, thanks.

Viperskingdom has the new TRU 3 pack (Hill, Coulson, Fury) up, horrible pics and all.

Edited to add a comparison Hill pic, it appears that we get new a upper and lower torso (hopefully to make her taller, like the Stormtrooper Luke being shorter), lower arms, and the head, so a decent amount of new parts. Is that the same differences as the prototype?

Edit 2: Added proto pic as well, it looks like originally there were new upper legs too, but the ebay pics show BW's legs. Not a huge deal, so long as the torso makes her taller.

In Canada they are, or at least where I am, which is odd. I guess US has a street date of Feb 4th according to my friends.

So that means they've hit the west coast. In a week and a hall, the east. Looks like i won't be lonely on Valentine's Day this year after all.

Great pic, but I think Classic Mystique in the white would fit in better for old school Brotherhood / Freedom Force era :-)

And is that a FF figure as Avalanche?? nice.

marvelmando 01-20-2015 01:08 PM

I would agree with you Phantom. I got rid of my Toybiz version but am looking to pick up another one to canabalize and make myself a best of both worlds custom.

donmeca2020 01-20-2015 02:12 PM

If the Odin wave is already available, i wonder when the Spider-man wave will come then? im hoping at least another week or two in stores.

Nice brotherhood shot! As for a classic Mystique, I've seen some amazing customs using the Madame Masque figure as a base.
