Actually for me the Amazon exclusives have been some of the easiest to acquire. Thank you Amazon for Magneto, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch, DOFP Logan and Sentinel, Defenders, Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter, etc.

Agreed. It used to be Amazon>Walgreens>Target>ToysRUs>Walmart but now it's more Amazon>Target>Walgreens>>>>>>>>>>>>Walmart.

Point being, it could always be worse and in the case of it being Walmart exclusives, much worse.

JCarterVA 10-05-2019 10:55 AM

Alpha Flight not showing up on Amazon site could just be a glitch on the site. Happens all the time. I prefer Amazon to get the ML exclusives than Walmart or Walgreens.

hasbroherofan 10-05-2019 11:52 AM

We need Rictor at some point since we already got Shatterstar.

I don't. Walgreen is run by a pretty good CEO whereas Amazon is run by one of the scumiest pieces of shit on the planet. He makes Sam Walton look like a saint.

Starlord67 10-05-2019 12:51 PM

Is that it for Hasbro reveals or is there a panel coming to announce more?

Show me on this Doll where he hurt you haha.

Honestly though for me like Nash and so many others I’d prefer exclusives Amazon>Target>Walgreens> then Walmart. Walmart’s are the freakin worst, They’re nearly impossible to find and almost never get restocks.

Yeah same. If that’s it though I still call it a win. Got Stan Lee and Sunspot. But I was seriously hopin for more. Maybe I’m a bit greedy haha

VashTS 10-05-2019 03:42 PM

Nycc feels lame this year

Doesn’t it? I feel like there ought to be more. Correct me if I’m wrong, I feel like we saw more new figures there last year. I’m over the moon about Stan Lee (and that classic alternate head for Doctor Doom), but I kinda expected more. Maybe it’s because more than half the reveals are retreads. Can’t really complain though.

hasbroherofan 10-05-2019 04:30 PM

NYCC generally doesn't have all that much. Last year's reveals were Beta Ray Bill, Jubilee, Corvus Glaive, Ebony Maw, Night Thrasher, the Supreme Hydra & Zola two-pack, and the Kraven's Last Hunt two-pack.

They've been going to more and more international cons, so they're increasingly spacing stuff out.

That's what I was getting at a few pages back. It may not be for the investors but NYCC pales in comparison to NYTF and SDCC. Frankly I'm thrilled we got to see as much as we did. Although I was hoping to see either a FA Storm or Firestar OF COURSE.

I think the only thing that I was surprised we didn't see was the BAF for the Spider-Man wave. Those preorders have got to go up before too long. When it's this close to that why would they not use a convention as a reveal. Of course, they missed the boat revealing the Vintage wave Jim Lee Storm at a convention too, which would surely have "won" the presentation right then and there.

Anyways, for this Con, Sunspot is the most exciting reveal for me. Hah, after the Dani 3 pack reveal and after getting my top 10 wiped in half by the Alpha Flight set, I'd just jumped him over a bunch of people to my top 10 and boom. gone. Not that this is a bad thing. And the black energy effect works really well for him. But I'm hoping after he's released, we don't see that effect much more often. It's really been overdone and surely Hasbro can get creative in the effects department.

Seeing as how all of the New Mutants (save for Cypher) were released in a costume other than their original uniforms, I think we will eventually get a cohesive set in the form of a boxset ala Alpha Flight, or a two pack like the Hydra Goons/AIM agents/Avengers Endgame sets with swappable parts. Cannonball, Sunspot and Cypher could all share the same body and just swap heads/hands like the Walgreens Dani. Likewise, Rahne in her human form, Illyana, Magma and (bonus!) Kitty Pryde could all share the same teen body. If they did a set with a male and a female body with three male heads and four female heads I’d be in for four sets for sure. This would also be a great place to include the legs for the X Force Cannonball since there wouldn’t be too many accessories any of them would need. Maybe an alternate arm and Soulsword for Magik, and to make sure the male torso separates from the legs and would be compatible with the X Force Cannonball blast effect. Dani with her belt, tassels and headdresses could be a single release figure. Karma would need to be on a larger body and ideally have a bionic leg, but I don’t see that happening at all outside of a boxset that includes 5 or 6 figures all together.

My hopes for the rest of the AoA and Strong Guy waves:

AoA

Rogue
Cyclops
Magneto
Nightcrawler (X Force)
BAF Sugar Man

Strong Guy

Banshee
Wolverine (Astonishing Whedon/Cassaday)
Storm (FA)
Kitty Pryde (Excalibur)

I like Gamestop exclusives the best because they are the easiest to find for me. I live a few minutes walking distance from both a Gamestop and Walgreens. That Walgreens sux now though... the only new figures they got for the last 5 months were Spidey Far From Home figures I think that they kept restocking for some reason. Before that they were pretty awesome though. And I don't think Gamestop will even be around in two years.

Also Hasbro needs to re-release Jim Lee Rogue... her secondary market price is too high IMO. I loved when Hasbro re-released so many older Black Series SW figures on Archive cards because it just killed scalpers who were holding on to all of them.

urrutiap 10-05-2019 08:21 PM

Anyone else notice recently that Walmart now has Retro Dazzler, Iceman and X Factor Cyclops on sale at either 9 or 11 bucks? Wonder if theyre already starting to make room for more upcoming new Marvel Legends stuff next month or so?

Wish the Walmart store that I go to once every couple months that they need to get rid of the Marvel Endgame and Captain Marvel figures since they're just on the pegs not getting bought

My hope regarding '90s Rogue is that they'll do a second retro X-men wave and she'll be in it with a different head than the Juggernaut wave figure. I was not a fan of how they handled the headband ties on that one.

I agree completely! I would also like to see her with "bigger hair" like the select figure.

Trivial Psychic 10-05-2019 09:27 PM

Outback Rogue for the retro wave or GTFO...

GameStop “Exclusives” are mostly the same stuff you can get from Entertainment Earth. That also means most comic shops will have them. They’re plentifully, except for that War Machine Punisher...that might be a legit exclusive.

The War Machine Punisher is available for pre-order on other sites, it's just a fan channel exclusive. I think the PS4 Spidey may have been the last true Gamestop exclusive Legends figure.

The figs that i want from hasbro now is FireStarter and Robbie Reyes/Ghost rider.

They finally did WarPath. his body is from Omega red.

The new Thing head can be swapped with the old body

urrutiap 10-06-2019 06:30 AM

Its amazing that the Walmart store I went to yesterday they'd rather put the Retro X-Men Marvel Legends figures on sale at 9 or 11 bucks while they still have the Avengers Endgame figures pegwarm and take up space in the regular main toy aisle
