Hey everyone. I know I’ve been on these boards for a while and a lot of you know me. I want to make it perfectly clear I am not trying to make a profit or screw anybody out of money on this. I just found four Walgreens Emma Frost figures. I grabbed them all. I’m willing to trade her Dani Moonstar (I need at least three). Dani is the highest want, but I will also consider trading Emma for the Walgreens exclusive Transformers Siege Ratchet, or the Walmart exclusive Siege Bluestreak and Soundblaster. Please send me a private message if you are interested. Don’t quote me on here because I might not see it.

Walmart wont get rid of the frikkin Avengers Endgame figures but all of a sudden theyll put clearance sale prices on the Retro X-Men along with Star Wars Black Series Attack of the Clones Padme, Solo Story Han, and Episode VIII Vice Admiral Holdo

None of my Walmarts are selling the X-Men nor the 80th waves discounted. Half of them never bothered to carry them.

Some Walgreens are like that and assign all exclusives with one generic shelf tag.

I have the same problem. Only two Walmarts in a fifty mile radius have any of the 80th Anniversary Collection figures to begin with. And none of them ever got in the the X-Men. But hey, I at least got a couple of figures on clearance.

Robb 10-08-2019 09:21 AM

I have a Emma to trade. Looking for power glory Cap. or Beast.

Cannonball has legs! Next step is to find some way to give him a neutral face and maybe see about nodding his arms to make them go down to his sides.

Yes please what calf/boots did you use, I can make out a Logan figure for the foot/cowboy boot look, also what did you use for the boot pads.

And lastly, how did you attach the upper torso to the shatterstar pelvis? I’m making mine and am having difficulties attaching the two.

The boots are actually from a yellow Daredevil, painted over with a leather brown. It was the only one I had, but he's pegwarming pretty hard at all my local Walgreens so he should be easy to replace. As for the boot pads, they're actually made out of some thin masking tape meant specifically for arts and crafts that I got from Hobby Lobby. I just folded the tape over several times onto itself for each pad, gorilla glued them onto the boot, then painted over the entire boot with the leather brown that I mentioned before.

As for disconnecting the Shatterstar torso from the legs, I simply heated the figure up, slid my X-Acto knife in between the gap where the waist articulation is, and used all of my might to bisect the figure. Then I dremeled out a hole where the waist joint is, filled it with hot glue, used cocoa butter lotion on Cannonball's waist peg (to prevent the hot glue from sticking to the peg) and pushed it down into the hot glue, in order to create enough friction to keep the entire assembly in place while still allowing the torso to be removed to be used with the blast effect piece he came with. Great thing about this is you have the playability where you can interchange his legs with the blast effect piece, and you still retain the waist swivel.

I just ordered 80th Cap off of Walmart’s website for regular price. He’s still in stock right now if anyone needs him.

Tim 10-09-2019 06:31 PM

If anyone is still looking for a Retro Storm she’s $20 on amazon right now

My Walmart just put the single-packed 80th Anniversary figures on clearance, at a price reduction of ninety-seven cents. :p

I saw a video interview by YouTube user Boog_ACBA with the Hasbro Marvel Legends team and a vintage Spider-Man wave was asked about. The interviewer mentioned/suggested wanting to see a comic classic Aunt May made into a figure if a retro Spidey line is made. One of the most liked comments is by YouTube member WELOCME2DEATHLOK about the possibility of a retro Spider-Man toyline and the comment suggested new figures for classic Chameleon, classic Shocker, J. Jonah Jameson and a re-release of the Ultimate Green Goblin Build-A-Figure wave Black Cat for the retro wave.

If Hasbro does make a retro/vintage Spider-Man wave, which characters would you guys like to see them make?

It's rumored we'll see classic Electro next year in some future M.L. toyline, so that'd be amazing. I agree we need a new Chameleon and a classic Shocker is long overdue. It'd also be nice to see a new Rhino (classic or Sinister Syndicate/80s era) and a new Sandman (classic or green-and-yellow suit) made for those who missed the Build-A-Figure versions and it'd be cool to see classic Boomerang and some kind of a new classic Spider-Man with more articulation (Steve Ditko version, John Romita Sr. version, Mark Bagley version or whatever). I'm also waiting for a Doc Ock (either Armani suit era or a repainted classic re-release version) that has bendable wire tentacles accessories next time. Heck, Hasbro could make a wave of just civilian figures like Peter Parker, Curt Connors, Gwen Stacy, Harry Osborn, Mary Jane Watson, etc., and I'd buy them all in a heartbeat.

Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a great night.

MeLikeJinx 10-09-2019 11:19 PM

^ I hope they re-release the original Spiderman 2099 and also classic red design Daredevil on a new body mold with a new meaner looking headsculpt.

All of those sound awesome, especially the civilian figures. I also could go for a more classic Lizard. If I had to choose a six figure line-up: Spider-Man (Ditko), Chameleon, Rhino, Electro, Lizard, and Mary Jane Watson.

tyrantGalvatron 10-10-2019 04:25 AM

I was having ALOT of trouble finding 80th Cap at any of my Walmarts. ALOT. I had given up. I figured I could get by with my Retro Series ML Cap. One Walmart website listing later, and I was wrong. SO Wrong.

80th Cap is So. Much. Better. Wow. Alot of hate is thrown Hasbro's way. They deserve a ton of love for 80th Cap (and all of the 80th figures really)

With that said, does anyone have the Saluting hand that came with the Cap Wolf version of ML Captain America? If so, shoot me a PM. I'd like to buy it from you. I'd rather not buy a whole entire Catain America figure just for one tiny accessory.

I'm thinking the vintage wave next year will be Spider-Man oriented maybe with a Daredevil thrown in as well. Black suited Kingpin, some type of Spider-Man, classic Electro, a repaint of Dr. Octopus, and Spot.

I would have thrown in a female but the only one that needs to really be made is Firestar, and Hasbro seems to not understand the nearly full-collector community desire for that figure.

I like your idea of a civilian wave. Definitely not on my radar but I'd buy most of them. Aunt May for sure.

Unrelated: next convention is this weekend with PAX Australia. I'm guessing we'll see 1 or maybe 2 figures. I'm blanking on Australian characters other than Gateway, maybe Bishop if he's confirmed Aboriginal genelogy, but still he's not "Australian". Was Outlaw Australian? Would love an Outback X-men set, mainly for another Rogue and Armored Psylocke, but I'm not like, missing it or anything. Maybe Kangaroo - Spider-Man wave 1 BAF, come on Hasbro, do it so that I can pass on the full wave. On the other hand doesn't have to be Aussie themed.

Thanks for the heads up. I ordered it via Pulse and canceled my original order with Target. It ended up being cheaper on Pulse. Thanks again!

Romita Sr Spider-Man (on the newer Sunfire body)
Classic Electro
Romita Sr Green Goblin
Romita Jr Hobgoblin
Classic Shocker
Gwen Stacy
Aunt May
BAF - Mountain Man Marko

Gonna wait and just hope I find Stan Lee out in the wilds. I figure he'll be everywhere. If not, oh well. Still looks like a good figure, but I feel sad whenever I see it, as it's a reminder he's no longer with us.

I like this list. I would LOVE a "Marvel Legends 60's" or "Kirby Marvel Legends" line, with classic versions of all the characters instead of the modern, steroid-addicts version of heroes.
