A friend of mine just sent me an article that said that Shriek will be in Venom 2, along with Carnage. I know someone mentioned the rektangular video where he mentions a new Venom wave. Maybe Shriek will be part of it?

hasbroherofan 10-15-2019 11:14 AM

If we get a Colossus from Deadpool out of the deal, I'd be stoked.

I saw that, and since Woody Harrelson is Carnage I feel like they need to cast Juliette Lewis as Shriek

Or, hell, Negasonic.

That would be fantastic. Honestly shed be perfect for that role.

Couple of thoughts on the rumored Fox X-Men figures:

  • If true, then it's possible that we might see some Raimi Spiderman figures in 2022 since it would be the 20 year anniversary for the first film.

  • Only five X-Men figures were mentioned. That's one figure short of a full wave OR one figure short of three 2 packs so there could be a sixth figure that wasn't mentioned. If it's a wave, then my best guess for the sixth would be Storm. If they'll be released as 2 packs, then I would guess Cable or someone else from the Deadpool movies.

  • Jennifer Lawrence refused to allow DST to use her likeness for a Marvel Select Mystique back in 2014. I don't see any reason why it would be different for Hasbro in 2020 so the Mystique would have to be of Rebecca Romijn.

I'll take Rebecca Romijn, Jennifer Lawrence was a cash grab casting and a total trash bag

snake5289 10-15-2019 02:48 PM

No argument there. Lawrence sucked as Mystique and only got worse with each movie.

SymbiSpidey 10-15-2019 02:58 PM

Havok and Polaris came today. Flawed figures, but they still turned out nicely and look great with their X-Factor teammates.

Boy Blunder 10-15-2019 03:08 PM

Damn, they look good. Can't wait to get mine.

SymbiSpidey 10-15-2019 03:14 PM

I will say Havok's face sculpt is seriously impressive on this figure. It's very unique looking compared to the other male faces that Hasbro does.

GameStop has them in stock online. Well they did a hour ago when I checked.

Does Polaris's hair make her top heavy?

I'd honestly way rather have a new figure of Dafoe's Green Goblin than almost any Fox X-character. I would absolutely be down for a good Hugh Jackman Logan figure (whichever movie they choose) and Patrick Stewart Xavier too but Dafoe's Goblin is still my favorite pick of the pre-MCU Marvel movie characters.

I still feel the original Dafoe figures hold up really well, even if they are bit smaller than some of today's figs. The sculpts were really good, and the articulation on them were insane. They were almost SH Figuarts quality at the time they came out...

If we were to get a redo of any of the old Raimi film figs, I'd like to see a Sandman. That original figure was absolute CRAP. It had no business being called a Marvel Legends figure.

If it were to be a new figure of any pre-MCU character outside the Fox films, I'd have to say a new Wesley Snipes Blade...since he's the character that started it all. The old Legends figure, while good for it's time, has some serious issues thanks to the soft goods pleather coat (mine has long since fallen apart, despite taking good care of it), questionable design choices (such as painting over the hip joints in black, instead of casting them in black plastic to begin with) and the oversized weapons carried over from the original Blade figure line.

I did however spot a Cap from the Bro Thor wave hanging on the peg, so these are out there and starting to hit shelves for those of you interested...

BBTS has that Cap in stock too. Glad this wave is finally coming out.

WTF? I thought they weren't due until Dec? No, I can't deal with this right now.

I agree that the old Toybiz Dafoe Goblin has aged pretty well but with modern improvements we could theoretically have an amazing upgrade. I also wouldn't opposed to Sandman, he's the one good thing about Spider-Man 3.

Of course a Snipes Blade would be dope, he was the man. Until Blade Trinity but I don't blame him for that.

You guys now have me thinking there may be a demand for non-MCU movie figures. Personally,I didn't think I'd want anything outside a Rebecca Romijn Mystique. Then I remembered the first Ghost Rider film. Sure it's not great but the designs were excellent. I really liked his bike. I eventually bought the six inch scale version of it. The figure that comes with the bike is a disappointment though. Its oddly proportioned with weird ball joints at the hips. So I'd take a redo of Nicholas Cage Ghost Rider. I'd also take an update of the Caretaker figure as well.

I would LOVE a non-mcu movie line... Thomas Jane's Punisher. Tom Hardy's Venom. Nick Cage's Rider. Wesley Snipe's Blade, and Dafne Keen & Hugh Jackman in a Logan & Laura box set. I'd buy the HELL out of all of those if they used Starwars Black level face scan applications.
