Friend did a really convincing Shriek by kitbashing Marvel Legends Domino and Dagger. With Doppel from the recent release, all we need is Carrion and Shriek then I think all of Carnage's "family" has seen release.

We'd need a proper Demogoblin as well. He was done for the Spider-Man classics line back in the day, but was hard to find and was nothing more than a repainted Hobgoblin from the Toybiz era...

^^^Wow, Triv. I was about to say the same thing. Haha.

I remember seeing a Demogoblin toy, just couldn't remember when it came out. It still qualifies as a release. You are right, Hasbro should release another. That being said, I don't recall Shriek or Carrion ever getting a toy. Toybiz or Hasbro.

As far as I know, they have never been released. Heck, even if you go back to the pre-legends days, I don't think they ever got a toy.

All this spider-man villain talk and no Morlun!?! I know, the talk is more because of the Venom and Morbius news but they could work him in somewhere. Please Hasbro? He's got to be one of the top 3 if not top 5 Spider-Man villains created since the turn of the century, very much needed!

Ick. I thought he was taboo to even mention. LOL I remember his first appearance, and the "totems" and the rest of it was driving the fanboys livid with anger and hatred towards Marvel for ruining Spider-Man. Had no idea there was a market for Morlun toys. Figured I'd see Paste-Pot-Pete before a Morlun toy.

live and learn, right?

Imagine for a moment Disney were to make a film, Spider-Man: Fire & Ice. A film involving spider-man teaming up with Iceman and Firestar against some looming threat.

Boogieman4hire 10-16-2019 01:40 PM

Featuring a lot of Pat Benatar especially the song fire and ice, the perfect tie-in song.

StuartGreen2019 10-16-2019 01:51 PM

I love all the Spider-Man villain talk. I personally wouldn't mind new figures for Carrion, Demogoblin and Shriek, as they're long overdue. And with a new Venom wave of figures planned, I'm sure we'll see one or two of them made next year. They could even do it for the Morbius line and throw in some other "Maximum Carnage" characters in there, like Iron Fist, Firestar and Nightwatch. Heck, they could even throw in an updated classic Hobgoblin with alternate heads or a new Man-Wolf.

I'm not a Morlun fan though, as I prefer the classic Spider-Man rogues gallery, but even I have to admit that he needs a new M.L. figure made A.S.A.P. I'm still hopeful we'll get all-new, long overdue classic figures for villains like Chameleon, Electro, Boomerang, Shocker and Trapster next year and definitely some kind of Doc Ock figure with bendable wire tentacles.

If they get Dan Gilvezan, Frank Welker, and Kathy Garver for the roles, yes! If not, then I'll pass. Also, replace "Disney" with Sony and make it in the Spider-man animated universe. THEN I'll be for it 100%. Sorry, but the MCU Spider-flicks have been really lame imho. Spidey is fine in his limited roles in the ensemble films, but the solo have been really lame. I'm not a fan of Spidey being an Ironman fanboy.

As an actor, Tom Holland does a great job as Spidey. He's just in two very mediocre movies. Marvel does great when they have a bunch of heroes to work with. Then they don't have to worry about character growth. When they only have one hero on screen they seem to flounder quite a bit.

Sony isn't perfect by any means, but they seem to handle the single hero movies better (Venom, while it was lambasted by critics, was IMHO better than half of the MCU - Tom Hardy made a better Venom than EVER appeared in comics, cartoons, or previous movies)

Ideally, I would want the Venom wave to be: Shriek, Demogoblin, Nightwatch, Firestar, Phage, Agony, and Carrion, with Riot as the BAF. I’m figuring they’ll save classic Spidey villains like Electro or Man-Wolf for another wave, hopefully the second Spider-Man wave that will probably be out in the latter half of the year (Stegron BAF?). I’ve got less ideas about a Morbius wave, maybe some Midnight Sons or Marvel Monsters? I wouldn’t say no to Werewolf By Night (who could easily be reused for Vermin) or Satana. Hellstrom feels like a good bet with the Hulu series. Sleepwalker would be neat too, but he isn’t very strongly connected to Venom or Morbius.

StuartGreen2019 10-16-2019 07:02 PM

^ Oops, I didn't mean to make it sound like I was expecting to see classic Spider-Man villain figures for the Venom and/or Morbius waves, Ultra Seven. I just meant I hope to see figures for those characters next year. Sorry for the confusion. That said, it'd also be nice to see a new classic Jack O'Lantern that actually had his hovercraft as an accessory this time.

I would love a Stegron figure, though I'd prefer it not to be a Build-A-Figure. It was bad enough A-list Spider-Man villains like Sandman and Lizard were Build-A-Figures, and we need a new, better classic Lizard A.S.A.P. too. The B.A.F. Lizard left me underwhelmed.

Marvel monster figures for characters like Werewolf by Night, Satana and Dracula would be amazing. I would also suspect that a Man-Spider might work for the Morbius wave as a way to bring some kind of Spider-Man variant into the line.

Veronica Mars 10-16-2019 10:08 PM

I think as far as Morbius wave we could see Lilith, maybe some Midnight Sons character, maybe a single card release of Elsa. I think characters like Dracula and Vampire by Night are going to slotted into a Blade wave

More classic Spider-Man villains next year would be fantastic. I’m underwhelmed by the wave they’ve shown off so far (Vulture and Shang-Chi non-withstanding). Classic Lizard could work in a Morbius wave, considering his prominent role in Morbius’s first storyline. Stegron doesn’t have to be a BAF, but I feel like that might work best. A new Jack O’Lantern might be cool, but I don’t know how it would sell. Marvel Monsters are an untapped resource, which across “Morbius,” “Doctor Strange,” and “Blade” should probably be tapped in the next few years. It’s a pipedream, but Frankenstein, Manphibian, and the Living Mummy would rule too. As would a classic Blade or Dracula, but I’d be more surprised if we didn’t see them when “Blade” comes out.

I went by Game Stop today and talked to the manager who show me the new Gray Hulk figure in hand and said that the release date was on 11-4. I know that they are high on price, $50 she said, but I had her save one for me.

I think most gamestop are “high” when it comes to their pricing.

Oh, yeah. Just sometimes you can get things from there you can't find other places, and they can run some decent sales or clearances.

They are typically the same price as most comic book & collectibles "mom & pop" stores, as far as toys go.

If anyone wants a Lockjaw and doesn't want to wait for Hasbro, the Mezco One:12 Black Bolt and Lockjaw 2 pack is up for preorder. BBTS has the set listed for $130 and Dorksidetoys has it listed for $125 with free shipping.

No joke. The Overwatch Ultimates sale was baller. Got everyone I didn't already have (which was most of the line) for a little over $100.
