they even make these for 12'' figures!

My opinion isn't that good. I bought some of these stand to use with a Figuarts (before I realized they had their own line of stands) and honestly, I don't think they're that great. The hinges are decent, you can tighten them with a screwdriver, but the pieces that plug into each other are loose as hell. There is no friction whatsoever where the main post connects to the base. Same goes for the part holding the figure. It's real loose where it plus into the main post. I'm not getting any more of these stands.

Hopefully it was just my stand and not widespread. Still something to consider, though.

Question

Has anyone swap the head from a NECA figure on to a Marvel Legends body or vice versa? Are they somewhat compatible?

I haven't myself, I find with a lot of neca it's similar to Marvel Select or Mcfarlane, amazing sculpt but most times the heads are near impossible to get off due to the neck joint, also most neca figures are close to 7-8'' put them slightly out of scale for most ML, but I'm sure it has been done.

g1fanatic 08-08-2012 11:50 PM

Thanks for the info. I'm concerned as to not break a NECA's figure if I try to force a head off. It's not ball-joint, is it?

Most times it is a ball joint, but it's a hinged ball joint, it has the 2 pieces that slot together to allow for more movement, similar to say the ROML Extremis IronMan, with it the figure can look all the way up and down. Unlike ML where you can in most cases still pop off the head, Neca has often times a small peg with a large plug on the inside of the head so if you pull hard you will get it off but it won't go back on,.. without the help of glue. Myself I did this when making my Tony Stark custom, I used a ML Professor X figure and thought I could just pull the head off and put the IM one on,... wrong! I got the professor head off but the next joint was fucked, I ended up just glueing the Tony Stark Headsculpt onto it. I mean with enough time, patience, money and dremel tools you can make just about anything fit, but even if you can easily pop the head off, chances are it's only going to fit so many figures as the sculpts and neck sizes all vary.

Whats the story behind the Neo Iron Man Suite?

kenm2474 08-09-2012 07:30 PM

Question? Is there a Yellow and Black version of the Series 6 ML Wolverine? I just really love the way his Claws are molded.
