Ninjinister 05-11-2013 08:23 AM

I haven't seen any MoS stuff yet, in any scale, 'round here :|

snake5289 05-11-2013 10:36 AM

All I've seen are the ones with accessories at Wal-Mart. Seems odd that no one else appears to be carrying them atm. Both Target and TRU didn't have anything MoS related. Haven't checked anywhere else.

redx24 05-11-2013 12:43 PM

saw reg Zod at walmart was broke so i left him went back and most MOS stuff was gone guy told me kids are eating up fast as shit. probly more MOS stuff sold than Avengers Gi joe and im3 combined in this location

proteus 05-11-2013 01:24 PM

Nice work on the customs Ross!!!!!

snake5289 05-13-2013 01:13 PM

So I've been working on fixing up all my Batman villains the same way I did the Dark Knight himself (i.e. adding elbows). Why couldn't Mattel do this in the first place. If I can do it it can't be that difficult.

Now I know they aren't perfect looking but they'll do for now until I can think of something better. Mainly just need better looking goggles for Catwoman and paint Scarecrow so his arms are the same color. I'm just not sure what color to use. Maybe like a tan or light brown. Pretty happy with Bane and Ra's though.

Here's Injustice Catwoman. Costume looks like her Regime version but I'm pretty sure it wasn't purple. Maybe they got it confused for her MKvsDCU colors?

snake5289 05-13-2013 01:40 PM

Not bad I guess. Pretty sure it's supposed to be purple.

I guess there is some purple in there, but far from as much as there is in the figure.

TheLongestDay 05-13-2013 04:08 PM

Hmmmm a little too bright but still a cool set. This ones a low priority though next to the Harley/Cyborg + Aquaman/Black Adam packs :)

joefan76 05-13-2013 04:38 PM

I dig it I have yet to see a Injustice 2 pack I don't like

What are we talking about now?

Poison Shadow 05-13-2013 08:48 PM

Seems as though Catwoman may have been sculpted based on outdated concept art, or at least I assume that's what happened. Personally I like it quite a bit - I definitely prefer it over her other costume in the game, the one that seems slightly steampunk-ish. It's a little odd that they colored in the skin around her eyes with black paint, although that is easy enough for them to fix before release. Even if they don't, I like it either way.

Symbiote 05-13-2013 11:11 PM

Man that purple just doesn't look right. It does remind me of the dreaded MK vs DC game costume though. On the other hand, Doomday looks great. If he is the same scale as Grundy, he'll look menacing.

I dunno - about how we shouldn't respond to obvious spambots, maybe? ;)

Back on topic, Catwoman and Doomsday look nice but not my cup of tea.

How so?

I'd guess that it's just a case of preferred look/costume. Everyone has their own idea of what the definitive look for a character is and some who aren't completionists will hold off until their preference is released. I might do that also

Gotcha. I was just curious what people don't like from the figures vs. like.
I get the breaking of parts, that would piss me off royally. The uniforms I get to a degree although personally I kind of dig the updated/video game costumes as they aren't totally off while being pretty sharp to look at.

All in all I really like the figures. I have some of the DC Infinite Heroes but they were 80% crap and only at the end did they start getting better and only at the tail end a wee bit taller so they could fit into the MU. The later stage Batman, Deathstroke, Superman, Black Adam and Flash were among some great figures, just too small IMHO. These new buck figures are closer to MU size and fit much better. My hope is that if they sell well enough DC Collectibles can keep the figures coming at the size and maybe hit up the original costumes or even the New 52 costumes.

This is my hope too. I'd love a New 52 Superman especially. I really hope this does well and people don't have the "I'll wait until clearance" sentiment. We got we asked for, we can't turn round and throw it away.

Wasn't so obvious if I replied to him/her, now was it? When I quoted the post, there was an image file that didn't go anywhere so, since I've noticed a rampant amount of broken images on the boards, I figured they did have something to show that we just couldn't see.

I'm still unsure about Catwoman, myself. The overwhelming amount of purple is just too much for that particular costume. I know she's worn plenty of purple in the past, and it's been fine for me, but it just seems like too much for this incarnation.

TheLongestDay 05-14-2013 02:52 PM

I made a quick Catwoman out of a ROC Baroness - took me about 5 minutes lol!

That's pretty awesome. What other parts did you use (like claws and such)?
