Feast your eyes on the next series of DCUC 2-packs, slated for release this year! Fully revealed at Toy Fair this weekend, Knightfall consists of Batman (Battle Damage) and a repainted Azrael Batman. Sinestro Corps Hal Jordan and Blue Lantern Kyle Rayner make up the second 2-pack, War of the Green Lanterns.

Nothing super special here, but interesting 2-packs nonetheless.

Nice to see matty still releasing these 2-packs.... but I'm not interested in either unless they're under $25, I may bite....

DCSH Steel was great. Glad he's being rereleased.

Itching to see 52 Bats and hope he has double jointed knees/elbows.

Hey, DC Fans! TheFwoosh has a nice look at Mattel's take on four major Arkham City characters - Joker, Harley Quinn, Nightwing & Robin.

For those of us having difficulty tracking these figures down (my TRU still has pegs of the Bruce Wayne / James Gordon 2-pack and nothing else Batman Legacy wise  ), this review gives fans a very nice, in-depth look at these four highly saught after DC figures!

hey if any one can pm me pictures of harley quinns tatoos she has on ac that would really help me im doing a kick ass painting of her and i need the tatoos to be perfect thank u very much

Prowl 2009 03-01-2012 10:25 AM

In their latest Q&A with Matty Collector, TheFwoosh was able to uncover when some of the DCIE figures would end up being released...

Q: Thank you so much for coming through with DC IE sub, these are the types of characters that we want to see in our sub. A lot of the figures were still TBD at Toy Fair, do you know when the exact release dates will be revealed?

A: Atrocitus will be in April, Starman in May, Mirror Master in June, Flash in July and Pam in August. The remainder have not be announced.

Hopefully the release dates for the other DCIE figures will be released soon...

I own the DCD version of this figure and the tattoos aren't very legible. I would just use references from the internet, such as still shots from the game or maybe a close up of the figure.

Funny that they called her Pam. . .

I imagine that "Poison Ivy" is either no longer copyrightable, or is too difficult to defend.
That may have something to do with her being released this way, as opposed to legacy (Though I doubt it).

Man I hope we don't have another "Todd Rice" situation.

Don't forget Mary Batson!

I wonder how Iron, Gold, and Mercury got the go ahead, and didn't get renamed "Metal Man Iron" or something.

The newly revised first line of the series will include:

Also, Matty Collector have posted that Jay Garrick will start shipping in April to DCIE subscribers with Atrocitus and Metron showing up in mail boxes in May!

Thanks to Matty Collector for the heads-up! Hopefully we'll be informed of the fate's of Larfleeze, Batman Beyond, New 52 Flash, Supergirl and Plastic Man soon...

That Bats looks nice but he's like most other Bat's in the cape area, their always too short which puts me off them, i want a cape that drapes over the floor and around he's feet not one that ends before his knees. It's not like the figure is that poseable anyway so having a cape that touches the floor isn't gonna restrict it's already limited articulation anyfurhter.

Limited??? I think you have these confused with DC Direct. These are Mattel's DCUC with a new name.
They need to do away with the thick heavy plastic capes alltogether and make them cloth.

Prowl 2009 03-10-2012 03:31 PM

^^ Agreed! Although I'll be buying that Bats, I would prefer it if Mattel switched from plastic to cloth capes.

DogFashionDisco 03-10-2012 03:35 PM

Its admittedly a very cool looking Batman. I'll probably scoop it up eventually too. I'm not against the cloth cape idea, but I don't see Mattel ever doing that.

Doesnt look like they have a knee bend or ankle articulation. Single hinge elbow, no waist swivel and swivel hips instead of ball joint. I'd call that limited articulation unless i'm not seeing something? I'm use to MU figures which are smaller and more articulated. I like the cloth cape thought tho, i always wanted that but whenever they've done they've used a cheap fabric which is too thin to drape properly (excessive nitpick i know)

You're not seeing something, then. DCUC has at least 23 points of articulation. Sometimes 27, and even a few with 29-30.
They have ankle joints, knee joints, thigh swivles, a more advanced crotch/hip system than MU, waist, abs, wrist, elbows, biceps, a shoulder system that's better than ball joints, and neck, all a standard.
Some figures have double jointed elbows and knees, and additional wrist articulation outside of a "swivle."

Sounds good, can you point me to a review of one? I must be thinking of something different. Thoses pics above dont look like they have all those joints.

Those are probably hand painted prototypes. Parts that are knew don't look like they have the standard articulation, which leads me to believe that. Plus, I also see some of the spots you were missing, like the ab crunch, waist swivles, knees and elbows and biceps.
Also, Mattel is *really* good at hiding articulation.

For reviews? No, I don't know any. But the paint quality is usually above Hasbro. Older DCUCs are extremely solid, and tight joints. They may not have had as much articulation as Marvel Legends (Which were insanely over the top, and actually too much), but they were a lot sturdier, and had IMO, just the right amount.
Last couple waves of DCUC, and continuing on to Batman Legacy, and likely these (And the club), the plastic quality has dropped significantly. They feel weaker, and the plastic is extremely soft. Hopefully this will change (But not likely).
If you're wanting a 6" Batman, I'd suggest trying to find a DCSH, or DCUC Batman, unless plastic doesn't bother you. Pretty solid and posable figures (The cape being the downside. Heavy, bulky, and makes them extremely backheavy)

hrothgars 03-10-2012 05:38 PM

Those Red Robin & Superboy Prime figs are sooooo bought. A Sinetro Corps Superboy Prime variant would be as well.

Hey, DC Fans! Feast your eyes on the first 6" Young Justice adult hero - Batman! Coming our way this year, it's not surprising Batman would be the first member of the Justice League to make it into Mattel's 6" DC line, with The Dark Knight Rises only a few more months away, Mattel and DC undoubtidly want as many Dark Knights crowding toy shelves as possible in the coming months.

The packaging is the regular window-style other 6" Young Justice figures have been packed in up to this point, the art focusing heavily on the upcoming second season of Young Justice.

The figure itself looks quite impressive, encompassing all the regular DCUC-esque articulation fans have come to love from Mattel's DC offerings over the last 5 years, and features the first over-the-shoulder cape to be offered on a Mattel DC figures.

By way of accessories, Batman comes complete with a building display stand, twin batarangs and a smoke bomb.

All in all, this figure looks good and will look even better alongside YJ Robin on your shelf. Next in the 6" Justice League offerings should be Green Arrow, in my opinion, one with a functioning quiver and bow - and don't skimp Mattel, you did it with YJ Red Arrow and Artimeus, so we know you can give us a Green Arrow in the same vein.

In any case, enjoy the pictures, thanks to Action Figure Insider, and keep your eyes peeled, Bats will be hitting shelves in the coming months, and, by the looks of things, will be totally worth the price tag!

Enjoy!

kenm2474 03-11-2012 03:23 PM

I'm passing on the YJ figures as they are to Animate looking to fit in my collection of DCD/DCUC Figures. I had Custom heads made to replace the YJ heads of Aqualad and Artemis. So I will pass on these guys.

Jlogano20 03-12-2012 04:13 PM

huh didnt know they were changing the line name to "invasion"

hrothgars 03-12-2012 07:49 PM

I might grab that 6-inch Kid Flash. I never really liked the DCUC version all that much.
