Well here's the Hot Wheels Batman vehicles I have picked up in the main line releases and a pic of the carded Ecto-1, A-Team Van and BTTF Delorian. Also does anyone else remember Bigfoot, I found this in a box while doing some spring cleaning. Not sure if it stills works but it's in pretty decent shape

Sorry the lighting isn't better, I'll try to take one with better light tonight. This picture doesn't do these cars justice

No effen way! I had that Bigfoot! It is in nice condition even if it doesn't work. You just blew my mind with nostalga. All these memories flooding back. If you want to get rid of you know where to go. :)

Great pictures, Grimlock.

I had that Big Foot, and a few others like that. Classic toys.

Thanks, I like to pick up the TV show cars and the realistic cars from Hot Wheels (especially Mustangs) for my kids. I've got a box of about 50 right now in the closet that when my kids are good or do what they are told I let them pick a car out. It's a great incentive for them but doesn't always work.

That's because they're really just collectors. If you've ever met a collector who resells their stuff at any point in their lives for more money than they paid, a lot of fellow collectors would call them a scalper.

My score! I'm very psyched for these, though I'm not sure I'll ever look inside the Invaders set. It's taped neatly shut... MOC OCD what are you doing to me?!?!?

I got the Megatron set for Christmas, but haven't gotten Optimus yet. For the sets I own so far, I've actually enjoyed the alt modes much more than the robot modes. And of course, the Kreons are awesome!

I had to force the TRU employees to put them out. Their street date in the computer says Feb 5th, but the boxes say Feb 27th.

It's kind of crazy that they don't want our business too. It's like we're in a semi crappy economy and yet you have consumer's willing to spend $ to give them business but you won't put the merchandise out.

I checked TRU during my lunch break and the only thing I found was a Green Lantern 7/10. I'm staring at the car trying to figure out what's GL about it (it wasn't green), then saw another of the same car without Ryan Reynolds on the card. This Hot Wheels stuff is weird.

Yeah, but we'll just keeping going back until they finally do put the stuff out, so what do they care. When I walk into the TRU down the street twice a week the manager is probably like, "I own him."

You have no idea. One type of HW variant is a different number of spokes on the tires (anywhere from 3 to 10) than the normal release. They can also have different packaging variants, deco changes (including separate color, tampo and paint changes) and so on.

And people think Hasbro goes overboard with variants and running changes.

The green lantern was just a promotion for the movie coming out, there isn't a green lantern car and the cars have nothing to do with GL. There are many variations for Hot Wheels cars and I don't care what anyone says about Marvel, Transformers, GI Joe, Star Wars, or any other type of collector.....but Hot Wheels collectors are the very worst out, they are the rudest collectors I've ever seen and will snatch stuff out of your cart or your hand if your not careful....or at least the ones around here are. I'm glad I don't collect them full time or I'd have a police record for smacking one of them by now

Not a fan of the 3 heads, the orange colored scales or the fact her has shorts on lol. Plus the ML FFF is a hell of a lot more rare to have and badass IMO, I may snag the new 1 as well, but I prefer mainly ML baf's over MU masterworks figures.

Good thing HW are only 2 bucks:P And it's made out of metal too! Sturdier stuff...

Wow that is some douchery, I would do the same thing if I found a "rare" item or even just an item of need/want and some s.o.b. tried to rip it out of my hands or cart, I'd deck him, or push a pegboard section on top of him! When it comes to collectables no matter what the subject matter timing is everything, I can't even count how many times I've shown at Walmart looking for new MU only to see someone walking away with a cart full. My buddy actually solved this problem, there's 1-2 guys that work in tandom hitting up retail stores and buy out the hot items to gouge people out of $$ on ebay. My buddy got to Walmart found the douche's car, flattened all the tires, potato in the exhaust pipe and keyed scalper all over the car, *now I don't condo one my friend's actions, but his actions resulted in the scalper never returning to the store. This was the end result of the scalper stealing a cart full of toys my buddy had set aside when he went to use the washroom. karma is a bitch!

bmorr 02-07-2012 05:10 PM

holy crap dude lol. Canada's toy collecting is serious business.
